Hunters

Hunter’s is probably my favorite place to go out on in Wilton Manors. Where you’ll find everyone under 25 at The Manor, everyone who is old enough to rent a car is at Hunter’s.
The main issue with Hunter’s is the heat. Man it gets hot in there. A ton of sweaty guys in one room gyrating around to some disco or techno song– sounds great in theory, but in my mind I wish I would have brought my antibacterial lotion with me.
Maybe that’s why everyone dances with their shirt off? I don’t. I’m modest, well and a little too chubby for that so my clothes stay on, but after a certain time it’s like a beach party in there minus the beach, it’s just half naked men dancing.
Moving on…
The drinks are crazy cheap. On Sunday I paid $ 3.50 for a drink. Um hello? Why do I not do this more often? Hello fort liquordale! The bartenders were all nice and the drinks per usual were crazy strong.
Overall I have a great time when I’m here– even if all of my clothes stay on.

They use the same tape every Sunday night. To damn lazy to be original every weekend but the queens put up with it. Nonsense

Great staff and ambience. I would def recommend it and come again. Lots of people including ladies. a good time.

Don’t do the beer bust on Sunday’s at Hunters. I paid $ 10 for the special all you can drink beer bust and bought one beer. I took the beer in the outside area of the bar and could not get back inside the bar without waiting in a line that would have likely taken an hour or more to get back inside. They did have an outside bar which I was told did not honor the special beer bust. I understand occupancy laws however they need to either notify people leaving the inside bar or honor the specials outside.

Every Friday, from 7PM to 10PM, the animal known as the Floridian Daddy can be found at this watering hole imbibing various refreshments ($ 2 well drinks!) and carousing with various subtypes of the Daddy species: muscle daddies, silver daddies, Cuban daddies, bear daddies… they’re all here and they’re (mostly) in their prime.
After a few drinks on the well-​lit side of the place, this observer sauntered over to the dance bar side, where the Daddies engaged in all manner of Daddy play, but mostly they danced to pretty standard gay fare: Taylor Dane, Robyn S, Ce Ce Peniston. It’s unadventurous nostalgia music that gay bars won’t let die, but who cares? This observer did not, and soon had his shirt off and singing along with everyone else about the fact that it was, in fact, raining men. The laser light show is surprisingly high-​end and seeing Daddies frolic in their native environment is worth the trip. Bring field glasses and a giant net and you might just land one for yourself.

Wow so ran into a few people tonight that had same experience that I had. Do not open a credit card here. It must be in the training that they add 2 – 3 drinks on your tab… Guess they think people will not notice. This is the worst kind of scum… Be afraid!!! Be very afraid !!!

I really enjoy coming to this bar !! Hands down the most welcoming staff I’ve seen run a bar. The way these guys are so personable still surprises me ! Not because they’ve done something but just in comparison. I love their interior and the set up, the flow from one bar to the interior dance floor bar works, kudos ! I find the «price is right» with cocktails, with mixing done properly. The one thing that needs work is there is no lock-​on the restroom door. I don’t enjoy that. Esp when there’s one toilet. Otherwise, great place to start, stay or end the night.

Loved it! This place was so crowded with shirtless men that my mouth was open most of the time. They had men everywhere and my friend and I were the only girls. that was pretty cool. lol The front bar was just that, a bar but the back opened up into a night club, I am not sure how big it was, but I do recall looking up at one point and there was actually a mezzanine. so pretty big! The drinks were not expensive and the staff was friendly. My only whoa was the bathrooms. I am not sure about the mens room but the «UNIsex» was nasty. They should spend a little more time keeping it in order. Through the haze of shirtless men and dancing, I can forgive it just this once. =) I would go back!

Great bar as well as niteclub. Used to go to their location in Elk Grove Village IL. This one is better but same great bartenders and staff. Feeksclike a big city bar but with a greatvupscale atmosphere.

Was a fun atmosphere but more for a Much Older crowd, heard the same some twice while I was there found it kinda funny. Really cheap super strong drinks ! Staff was kind, attractive, but a little slow. It’s a great place to pass by, check out the upstairs was my favorite spot !! Good job guys!

Visited twice over Labor Day weekend. My neck hurts from spinning my head like Linda Blair trying not to miss all the hotties.

I loved Boom. It was one of the first places I ever came to in Wilton and I held it very near and dear to my heart. When I saw it had become Hunters– I was very disappointed. I guess I’m also a bit of a histrionic person because I always get very nostalgic over the replacement bars that open in place of my faves.
Thankfully– not much has changed. The entire layout is the same, but improved. The dancefloor is exactly how I remember it. I remember being about 18, with a fake ID and walking in here for the first time. It was the first time I ever came to Wilton Manors and I immediately took my shirt off and danced all night.
I also remember celebrating my birthday here 3 years ago today, and I spent the entire night at the upstairs bar receiving free drinks from other patrons until I vomited! Also, the first time I ever threw a jealous tantrum when my ex-​beau was ordering drinks from a shirtless bartender… only to never hear from him again. I’m sorry, Bryan!
Coming in under a new name and new management made me apprehensive, but once I came back in, I was very pleased to see they haven’t changed TOO much. The drinks are reasonably priced, although in my opinion, they don’t have enough specials and way too much competition around to not. But they are thriving, and always packed, so they’re doing something right!
Outside, there is usually a bbq grill and a few guys selling food outside which is neat. This place is great, I hate the name, but I dont hold it against them at all.

OK now this place has really taken off. My partner and I love to see the men on Fur Fridays, occasionally catching a photo of my pansy on the big screen is a hoot! Bartenders are just too sweet and friendly, And we still miss Sal, R.I.P. :(
Just made friends with tender Steve, and love watching the hot bald floor/​door guy.

First time here and I love it! We arrived at 9 on Saturday. Our bartender Steven was very friendly and sweet. Drinks were absolutely delish. I ordered the coco drink and my friend ordered a margarita. Very smooth. Could’ve been dangerous considering it was so smooth. We worked our way to the dance floor. Definitely a good dance floor to twirl and vogue! So much fun to be carefree. Haus music was thumpin. more people started to come in around 11. Will definitely return to work on my vogue. Haha

Boring bar and rude staff. Went on another bar which was more fun. To all out of towner skip this place you will just waste your money.

The best drinking and dancing establishment in Wilton Manors hands down. Go in have a drink and see for yourself. Sundays are especially fun with retro t dance.

I’m happy to report that Hunters has made and is making a number of very significant improvements since taking over what was formerly Boom. A newly remodeled bar area, lighting, some wood paneling to the bar and an overall far better décor. Also in the dance area, the sound systems seems to have improved and best of all, some different and far more attentive bartenders.

This is a newly renamed gay club in Wilton Manors formerly known as «Boom». The only thing that seems to have really changed is some of the nasty staff has been let go and replaced with polite, gracious people. I love coming here to dance. Unfortunately, this last time I went was karaōke night. I don’t mind karaōke, but I like to get wasted on vodka and then dance wildly and provocatively! Anyway, I still had a great time. The place is noticeably cleaner and better lit — which isn’t always a good thing in a gay night club! Hopefully the rumored improvements will be enjoyable. The upstairs was closed off on the Monday night I went there with my friend. A fun place — - good music. Mostly white and Latin gay men in their 30’s. People are very serious about their karaōke here by the way!

Word around town is that the entire inside of the club will be getting an overhaul. This was also confirmed by one of the bartenders. As of this review, however, the layout is exactly the same as before. This is also still the place to come to on Sunday nights. It was PACKED to the point the dance floor was impenetrable. As before, the employees are very nice and attentive to their patrons. This business is now under new ownership.
No complaints from the Cuban about this club/​bar.

Great to see that there is going to be a remodel and new owners to this dance club/​cocktail lounge previously known as Boom. The Hunters in Palm Springs has taken over and a remodel is planned.
