My family of 5 just showed up and we were able to get a Segway tour within the hour. They gave us plenty of time to practice before starting the tour. We had an amazing time! Our niece, who is 13, followed the tour guide who watched over us with care and concern. We really felt like we got our money’s worth as the tour lasted a full hour. We went through the park, a beautiful oceanfront neighborhood and the beach. We highly recommend this tour; however, it is best to call ahead and reserve as we just got lucky!

Like others have said — hidden inside Hugh Burch State Park. Can enter park off of Sunrise or enter by foot or bike from entrance on A1A just north of Sunrise. Nice bikes and very reasonably priced. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Great location in the middle of everything. Highly recommend.

The kid who waited on us was incredibly nice. You may want to call to set up your bike rental before you go. There were only 2 bikes and there were people who showed up after us who were bummed and had to wait for some bikes to be returned. Friendly staff, bikes were nice if a little expensive and it fit the bill for what we needed.

I also called in advance (1 day prior) to set up tour with Brent the owner. He was very funny and by the time I had my questions answered and received information, I stopped calling other Segway Tour companies. I knew right off that this was going to be the company. I hoped the guide was going to be as friendly and funny as the owner.
Well not to my surprise at all we were set up with Jeremiah F. He was totally AWESOME! We had so much fun, he was knowledgeable providing us with stories and commentary along the route. He helped us all to feel confident and safe with our segway riding ability (we all had next to none). We were so pleased with our tour and so happy (since we are locals) that it was not just a lame touristy activity! The Birch State Park location as well as coming back down A1A was flawless. It was a well spent Mother’s day for my friend, myself and her son! I would definitely recommend the company and definitely request the tour guide– Jeremiah F.

We did the half hour segway tour for 4 people. We really enjoyed the park and our guide, Nick, was FANTASTIC! He was very friendly and patient while teaching us to ride the segway, while also providing interesting and funny commentary throughout. It definitely felt like he was just telling us fun facts, not repeating something for the 5^th time that day. We loved him! The segway is very easy to ride, so don’t have any doubts in your ability. I would definitely say this is a great activity for all ages, and it definitely mixes it up from our days laying at the pool and beach. The only (tiny) flaws were that it was a bit pricey and we would have enjoyed maybe seeing a little more variety than just the park, however, it was only a 30 minute tour. GO DO THE SEGWAY! :)

I called advance to schedule the segway, one of a four part excursion I arranged with MCruz rentals that included segway, canoe or kayak, bike and beach chair. They told me in advance where to park if I didn’t want to pay the entrance fee to the park (6.00). I paid the entrance fee anyway since I hadn’t been to the park and wanted to explore it. Started with the segway, Nick the tour guide was great. He was very patient with us getting use to the segway and geared his tour on how well we did navigating. We got to experience the park which he had a good knowledge of, local neighborhood and the beach. Had a great time. The canoe was ok. There wasn’t a lot to see but it was a relaxing hour on the water. The beach was great and we didn’t get to the bikes. I would definetly recommend the segway as a great way to experience the park and plan to go back for the bike ride. Overall it was a great way to decompress.

Note: the official address to this business is for the Hugh Burch State Park — on Sunrise. M Cruz Rentals you actually access from route 1A entrance to the park. So don’t rely on the google address or you will never find it. They have a nice shady pavilion right at the side park entrance where you can rent bikes, Segways and even top-​sitting kayaks. Hugh Burch is a nice respite from the beach, has a 2.5 mile paved path inside and some playground equipment if you have kids.
