Being the hot dog aficionado that I am and having never met a hot dog I didn’t like, I noted a Unilocal Review for Nathan’s and decided to give it a try. This Nathan’s is a part of Miami Subs, also known as Miami Grill which serves up Nathan’s hot dogs either plain(you add the mustard or ketchup), with chili or with cheese and chili. I went for the chili and cheese but also added, as is my preference, mustard and ketchup. The hot dog itself was indeed very tasty as was the chili. Though I didn’t find the same exceptional, I did find the chili to be, at least according to my tastes, superior to that of the famed Skyline’s(located on the corner of N. Federal and NE26th St.) which they claim as being«imported directly from Cincinnati, Ohio.» But for chili based hot dog sauces, I’ll stick with those of Texas Hots or of a Texas style which sauce many term«meat sauce» just omitting any reference to chili.

There is nothing that compares to a Nathan’s chili cheese dog. This place serves them fresh and hot. I love that Miami Grill incorporated Nathan’s, Arthur Treacher’s, and Kenny Rogers into some of their store menus. Brings back lots of great childhood memories and tastes. Also glad it’s so close by!
