Office Depot

I needed to get something printed on some good quality photo paper for a gift, so since this Office Depot is right around the corner I figured I would give it a try. I will definitely be trying the other Office Depot at the opposite end of Federal next time as I feel this location had customer service skills that definitely are lacking.
I was not greeted or even acknowledged when I walked in. The girl at the counter was ringing someone up at what is a register and the printing station. I stood there for a moment and then walked to a different computer as I figured this was where the printing was and that was just a register. Wrong. More people kept going to check out and here I was still standing at an empty computer. Two different male associates walked by me multiple times without offering assistance. It was only after the third or fourth time that I asked him if someone was working the printing area. Finally, the girl took my flash drive from me to get my print. I was trying to make friendly conversation and told her about how I was framing it and excited to give it to my boyfriend for Valentine’s. She definitely didn’t seem to care. It wasn’t only till I was going to leave that she was a bit friendlier towards me.
Overall, my print did turn out wonderful and it only cost me 84 cents. I really was turned off by the lack of acknowledgment and customer service. Based on some other reviews, I can definitely see that they had encountered the same staff that I probably did. I give two overall stars because I love the print and because I finally got some friendliness towards the end. But no, I don’t think I will be returning here.

Ever since they moved. Parking is horrible. Then I go inside and see that the inventory is reduced. They didn’t have what I wanted that they use to have. Chose another location!!!

Office Depot is my preferred Office Supply Store and has been for many years. My office is just a few blocks from this OD yet I travel nearly 2 more miles to the OD just south of Sunrise Blvd on S Federal. Why? because the staff at this store would care less if you shopped there or not. Today the clerk was looking at her phone and humming a song while ringing me up. All while never making eye contact with me. This is the norm at this store and im sure its one of the reasons it downsized. Take an extra 5 minutes and visit the OD store just south of Sunrise on Federal Hwy. They are always helpful, knowledgeable and engage with you at the register. Office Depot: please bring back the Older manager that once was at this (bigger) store about 2 – 3 yrs ago. While he was in the store, the employees were always on top of it. OR, make the Manager at the S Federal Store the Manager at this store also. He/​She must be doing something right.

Needing a new 2014 Calendar I went to my Unilocal app to figure on the best nearby location. Oddly, some 4 Star reviews on a nearby Office Depot that emphasizes friendly helpful customer service, which from past Office Depot experiences was somewhat difficult to believe. But, when I stopped in, the reviews proved to be on spot correct. Without even asking, I was immediately greeted with a friendly «May I be of service to you» greeting and shown a number of calendars which, since they varied in locations within the store, I would have otherwise missed.
So, on the basis that it is an improvement over my experiences at other Office Depot locations I would have to agree with the other Unilocal reviewers and likewise go 4 Stars on it.

The staff was super nice here. The layout of the store is a little confusing and I definitely spend a few minutes wandering around to figure out where i needed to be. In the end, found what I needed and left with a smile.

This is my favorite Office Depot location that I have been to anywhere in South Florida (and I have been to at least 6 or 8 others). The copy/​print center is excellent, and the store is clean and organized and people will ask if they can help you (but without being pushy).

A very nice OD location. The store is newly designed inside. The surprising thing was the repeated offers of help from staff. This store is focusing on helping customers and that is a really good thing.
The only slight ding was the only open cash register was not located at the front of the store, but a little in the middle. A little confusing. But again, the associates were aroud to immediately direct me to the right spot.
