Was recommended by a friend while I was in the Boca area. While I was in a desperate need for a good coffee I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. Great pastries, and sandwiches. All classic stuff. Truly enjoyed my visit. Unfortunately the space is very small and has only a few tables. A must stop if your in for an Italian bakery fix. I’ll make sure to try some of the other features next time I’m in town.

Just walk in Wednesday 2:30pm. We were here before, and we always get a ham and cheese croissant(at this time) We walk in, place is empty, a girl name Maria was behind the counter, we ask her for ham and cheese croissant, she told us they cannot make it(on a very rude way), she said: only the PRE-MADEPANINI ! Yeah! Not fresh, PRE –MADE! I ask her, can u please make for us?! Come on! The croissant is right there, and also the ham and cheese, what is the big of a deal?!? Well she said no! My husband ask for a cappuccino, was already made, so we paid for and left, and we just realized she charge us $ 8 for a disgusting cappuccino! I guess Roberto(the owner) is making a lot of money to turn down local costumers! Stay away from this place! Rude stuff! pre made food! rip off cappuccinos! Go to croissant time(French bakery) Everything fresh, delicious, nice stuff!

If you check my reviews you will see my favorite Italian coffee shop is Antica Roma in Pompano Beach. But… Pan’e Dolci is a very nice experience. The venue is excellent, parking is generally not a problem and it is just a few doors down from two extra nice pizza shops. It is a genuine bakery and the smells confirm this. The selection of breads and sweets is wide, and a little expensive… but it’s all about value for money and Pan’e Dolci has that in bucket-loads. They have a good selection of gelato, very nice coffee, and the staff are attentive, attractive and have just the right amount of young-italian-beautiful-girl attitude. I will not forsake Antica Roma for my daily coffees, but as a special calorie laden occasional indulgence; or if you’re trying to impress the pants off your latest paramour, Pan’e Dolci is the go. especially in the evening, sitting outside. Top notch!

Saw a lot of reviews from tourists who come to visit and decided to give it a try. Omg and the reviews were write all their choices are due for. If you’re in the neighborhood you should come and try it at least once. All desserts are delicious.

Nice place, gelato were good, panini was awesome too, the only reason why, I rate 4 stars is that there was only one lady serving at lunch time,(with no smile on her face) so you have to wait a little longer than other places to get orders like panini or coffee, gelato were served right away, anyhow I would definitely recommend this place if you are not in any hurry.

Desserts were delicious but the customer service was an aggravating experience. Instead of answering my question to what the desserts were, she rushed me to order as if there was a huge line waiting. When there wasn’t even anyone else ordering.

OMG!!! Their coffee and all other stuff is to dance for. No dying business for me. I want to be alive to have all that. I was scared about bad service after reading the reviews. However, I didn’t have any problem in my last two visits there. :D Lucky ME.

The best bread! And service! I really don’t understand why is so everybody complaining about service maybe just because its not American fake place where everybody is giving you a fake smile like americans get used to it. This is busy place and there are only 2 people working and people can get annoyed waiting in a line. Don’t expect to chit chat with girls over there when its busy. Pastries are great! Chocolate mouse and Tiramisu are the best! Gelato is the NO1 in the world. Everything is home and hand made in the back of the bakery! Coffee is great its Italian brand and if you dont know how to appreciate italian coffee go to starbucks is around the corner! This place is worth every cent! Croissant cheese danish chocolate and Nutella Croissant are amazing! I love this place and girls are always nice with me never had bad experience here! I have seen some customers really annoying and here u get what u give in service

So good! Authentic, large Italian gelateria/bakery. Had Chocolcate Raspberry, Peach, and Oreo gelato and a Italian cheesecake type pastry that was to die for.

Great coffee, delicious pizza, probably the best gelato in Ft Lauderdale and their pastries-top notch. Why does this review get 2 stars? The service. The two girls at the counter… goodness rude would be complimenting. The absolute worst attitudes! I got the impression they were annoyed when I asked about the pastries. I will be back, the food is so darn good but there’s a reason why that tip jar is always empty.

Great potential but rude service. Expensive too! The waitress appeared extremely annoyed by me asking what kind of paninies are available and pointed to a sign hidden behind the counter with a «are you blind» face expression. Paid for panini, cappuccino and a pastry $ 20. She refused to give me a glass of water to my coffee. «Only bottled water». Horrible experience. The reason why it’s 2 stars is because the pastry and coffee was really good. The panini was mediocre. Not coming back!!!

If you want to throw $ 10 into the toilet, come get two lattes here. Absolutely mediocre lattes, unless you like Starbucks, in which case you’ll prolly be fine. Our waitress seemed so desperate to get the coffee making over with, that I didn’t even have a chance to ask for a double shot of espresso or sugar, before she had the coffee in front of us.(Anyone with an opinion on coffee worth a dime knows a good pour takes time & attention.) Everything else — desserts, sandwiches — looks pretty delicious. Will write more when I have tried the food etc.

I saw a lot of reviews from mostly tourists here who wrote a review based on a single visit. I’ve been visiting this bakery for over 10 years now and can tell you exactly what to expect. If you know what to expect you will most likely have a good experience. All the baked goods are excellent, whether it’s their breads, sandwiches or sweets. Their offerings don’t change but they are consistently good. I grew up and travelled all over Europe so you can trust my judgement :-). Their coffee is excellent as well, they use Danesi. I’ve drank mostly Espresso and cappuccino, it’s always good. The service is usually good, but when the place gets busy then it’s possible that you have to wait. In most cases the waitresses are very friendly, but on occasion they may be a bit short — usually when the place gets busy. Bottom line: Don’t go there if you are looking for super friendly service. Price: The bakery and especially the coffee is not cheap. A double espresso costs twice as much as a single espresso. They usually don’t serve water and you have to buy bottled water. The pastries are priced ok. The gelato is good(not sure why some people don’t like it) but not cheap either. Unlike other places however they let you mix flavors without huffing and puffing. Again, tasted a lot of gelato and it’s up there. The atmosphere is nice overall and there is usually enough room to find a table. So the bottom line: A place with great coffee and great authentic Italian food. If you are looking for a deal or overly friendly service then this may not be the place for you. The owner is Roberto, a nice tanned guy who can sometimes be a bit cranky. Don’t let that derail you. I go there several times every time I visit Ft. Lauderdale. Enjoy!

Extremely rude to customers! We came to this place 5 years ago and liked it when visiting ft lauderdale. Today we went back with my children and my parents. As my son and father were waiting to use the restroom, A old guy taking orders behind the counter yelled at them«one at a time» at least 7 times! Yelling. I stood up and told him that we heard him too many times. He snapped at me and said but no one listened. In reality, my son and father were just waiting patiently at the designated area by their staff! He totally ruined this Christmas Eve. Even other customers were shocked. One old man said he used to come all the time, but never again. Another lady asked me if I was okay and then walked out with all of us. People are always more important. This is no way to do business!

Love this local shop, the affogato and cannoli are really tasty, the best part is that they are only $ 8 together, so delicious and not pricey.

Simple the best patisserie I’ve seen outside of Italy. Great variety and the quality is fantastic. I go out of my way to stop here every time I’m in south Florida!

Finally a real Italian bakery with awesome desserts! Their pastries are well priced like 2 $ — 4 $ and awesome large Americanos for 3.5 $… Their bread is homemade and I plan to get some next time! This is a must stop if you crave real Italian pastries and sandwiches ! It’s got a great seating area and close to beach! I’ll be back!

Walking into this bakery/café I’m brought back to childhood memories… and a few memories of sweet endings to our dates years ago. The place feels right to me and some of the food is delicious. On our last visit we purchased cookies, bread, and a beverage: While the cookies look good, the biscotti is soft and studded with yellow raisins; the almond horseshoe cookies were good but hardly almond flavored; the Regina cookies had sesame seeds but if you closed your eyes you couldn’t guess what they were; the other cookies we tried also lacked flavor. Their olive bread is great — crisp crust and soft interior. We like all of their breads. Their pastries look good but the creams lack flavor. We enjoyed the mix of coffee and hazelnut gelato affogato(a $ 5 special) because each tasted delicious, but I’ll never understand why anyone would take hot coffee and serve it cooled down and take frozen gelato and serve it warmed up, but that’s just me. I don’t know if I’m spoiled, having grown up(and enjoyed food) in predominantly Italian neighborhoods in NY, but the bottom line is these desserts have the look only. From time to time we stop in to the store, mostly for the nostalgia, but for me it’s not the price or the service(they have always been nice to us) that turns me off, it’s the taste.

I’ve passed this place several times and I finally checked it out for some morning coffee and treats. There are tables inside and outside and also a bar that faces the parking lot. The feel of the restaurant is definitely very European. Everything is spotless and sparkling clean. I ordered a cappuccino and a sweet focaccia pastry with berries and some form of crème anglaise. The cappuccino was not just delicious but a show stopper. The pastry was ok I would have liked it to be a bit sweeter. The atmosphere is great I was there for almost 3 hours chatting away and no one bothered us or rushed us. Aside of their wide array of delectable looking sweets they also have cured meats, olives, and cheese for all of your salty needs. By the time we left people were having paninis for lunch that smelled amazing. The only downside is that you have to pay the meter constantly. We had to run out before the we were given a ticket. Oh and the girls behind the counter could be a bit more engaging and friendlier but I’ll definitely come back.
