Normally I don’t give 5 stars to hole in the wall places. However the food at this place deserves even more.
Yes it’s in a gas station who cares.
The sandwiches were mouthwatering delicious. You will not be disappointed. Wow

Got empanada’s here after reading the great reviews. It is a tiny place inside a Sunoco gas station… would have never gone there without Unilocal,but it was amazing. Comes with green sauce that is awesome. Will be back!

I was craving a café con leche and sandwich and this hit the spot.
I knew it was going to be good when I saw a young lady making homemade empanadas right there!
I walked in (have never been there before), and spoke to a young lady and asked her if they make sandwiches. She said yes and listed off a few. I told her to pick her favorite. She choose the steak sandwich and I am so glad she did!!! Amazing! Fresh lightly pressed Cuban bread with a well pounded out (large) piece of steak, tomatoes, onion, lettuce and those little potato sticks. So yummy!!! She also put this hot sauce on the side for me, which is a homemade green sauce that seems like a jalapeño and herb base sauce.
I also had a café con leche which was yums!
The total came to $ 7.99! So cheap! For a large café con leche, a large steak sandwich, and plenty of fries. If I wasn’t such a fatty it could have been two meals.
My only regret is that I didn’t take a picture. But I’ll be back!

Great place to pick up some good food. Would have given 5 stars, but the space is so small I had to move around to get my order. BTW it’s inside a Sunoco Gas station.

Don’t let the gas station fool you. Great place to pick up food and they deliver. I usually get the steak sandwich which is always on point. And the green hot sauce goes well with everything. Always consistent. If you haven’t tried this place yet your missing out!

I had the chance to check out this hidden location. It is in the Sunoco gas station but don’t let that deter you. I had a beef empanada and a ham croquete and they were delicious. The empanada was probably the best I’ve had and I am from Miami which says a lot. The green hot sauce was a great topping too. If I’m back in the neighborhood, I will definitely be stopping in again. I absolutely love coming here for lunch! I eat here at least 2 or 3 times a week. I usually get a beef empanada and the grilled chicken with rice and tostones. I love their red sauce it’s a little spicy and really tasty!

I originally gave Patty’s a 1 star review. I based my entire review off the place not being open during the posted Unilocal hours as well as it being in a gas station that was small and not the tidiest place. I was called out by a fellow Unilocaler and thought I needed to give it a 2^nd try. I drove over with a colleague and since I didn’t have much time i ordered a beef empanada and a ham and cheese croquet. Both of these are listed as appetizers on the menu, but we found it filling enough.
Not only was Patty (I’m assuming that’s her name) extremely nice, the food was outstanding. The empanadas were huge and packed with beef. Many others I’ve tried are overshadowed with too much dough and not enough filling. This was not the case. The outside was perfectly fried and the inside was moist and full of flavor. She gave me some hot sauce that really went well with the dish. I thought it would be some generic red colored hot sauce from a bottle but in this case it was green and had a rich flavor to it. Not to spicy but just enough kick. I’m bringing my wife in this week to try it out!
I’m glad I was called out and I had another go at it, because I’ve been thinking about that damn empanada all day!

If you got fuel at the Sunoco and went inside to pay, you might not even see the little Gem — Patty’s Café.
Small, tiny, tinsy tiny spot squeezed in on the Right of a cash register and frozen ice cream bin below you.
My friend told me of the spot and it was in our way to a mom’s thing so we stopped in.
The meat choices you get pork, beef, chicken.
Beef empanadas were crispy and the meat was well seasoned I can taste some chili powder, and it wasn’t greasy nor bits of cartilage you might get at other places. My friend said the fryer oil is changed regularly that she could never taste the oil on the fried dough. She’s right, it tastes very fresh.
The chicken crockette was a well seasoned chicken mixture, not to greasy again, just everything right.
She got a café con leche and I tried it very tasty, rich, sweet all the bad things that happen to taste so good.

Great Empanadas (haven’t tried their Colombian or sweet ones, vouching for the chicken and ground beef ones). tasty Cuban style chicken sandwich, on Cuban bread with shoestring potatoes (papitas) and not a shabby breakfast. Definitely the best fast food in this neighborhood.
