Piola is Fantastic! The pizzas are amazing. The crust is thin light not too chewy. The ingredients are fresh and not overpowered by tomato sauce. The gnocchi Pompeii was a generous hearty dish, potatoe gniocchi in a rich tomato sauce. My family of 5 all loved their meals. For dessert a traditional Nutella pizza with fresh strawberries, this was complemented by the most delicious americano and coffee Then after they treated us to a small shot of lemon Gelato with a whisper of vodka. As an added bonus the wait –staff was courteous and it was moderately priced. I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars

My husband and I have been here twice and both times have been great. The service and quality is good and prices are moderate. I recommend their machu pichu salad along with the four cheese gnocchi. Their fungi mushroom pizza is also delicious!

Two thumbs up for the rustic Italian fare at Piola, made with the freshest ingredients and served by a very attentive staff in a casual and trendy atmosphere! We have dined at Piola twice, our first experience was so positive that we went back for seconds only days later. Happily we have now found our go-to spot when spending time in Ft. Lauderdale. Authentic Italian food, especially pizza and pasta, is hard to find but not so at Piola, where it is served with flare and from the heart! Start off with the meatballs — they are just like my Italian Grandma makes, served simmering in a tasty marinara! The gnocchi melt in your mouth and the Regina Margarita pizza will bring you to Naples, where the brick oven crust is crispy yet perfectly chewy and the Fiori di Latte(fresh mozzarella) tastes like it was made minutes ago! Dessert is not to be missed, so try to save some room. Whether the tiramisu or the profiteroles, it is a perfect end to a great meal! And a very big«Thank You» to Hostess Marietta, and our server Anastasia who clearly work hard to ensure that their patrons enjoy their time at Piola! Ci vediamo a presto!

I’ll start off with the only negative: service is so-so. But honestly what I’m about to say will negate that. Do you like delicious bread with flavorful olive oil and herbs to dip it in? If so, enjoy that as you browse the menu of mouth watering pizza descriptions. Meat lover? Veggie lover? Plain and simple? Doesn’t matter, you will find the perfect pizza for you palate. Do you enjoy delicious adult beverages? I’m pretty sure there is a drink special every night. You’re covered. So hungry you could eat a hippo? The over sized individual pizza will leave you full and needing a wheelbarrow to get you to your car. UPDATE: been here a few times since last review. Service has been awesome. Food as always is delicious. Yaroslav, our server tonight was attentive. Always made sure my wine glass was filled. Can’t beat that! Love this place!

Absolutely amazing catupiry/chicken pizza(Rio de Janeiro), thin, crispy and the real deal catupiry! They have Guaraná soda, which is just perfect to go with it. Being a native Brazilian looking for a nice Brazilian style pizza, I can say I have found it at Piola! Now, as for dessert, the profiteroles are out of this world! I had them about 3 months ago and I still think about them! They’re amazing! A must-try if you go to Piola, you won’t regret it! Next time I’m in town, I will definitely be back to this place!

Arrived super late on a Saturday night 11:30 pm and kitchen was closing in half hour but was seated with my two friends anyway.(Had just been at the Broward Center for Performing Arts seeing Shen-Yun). I imagine it was the Mgr Oscar was extremely attentive and friendly and welcoming. Forgot to take pictures but my friends and I shared a delicious Piola pizza(mozzarella cheese and sun-dried tomatoes; very thin crust) and a plate of 3-cheeses Gnocchi which was decadent rich & creamy and ALL very delicious. We were the only ones there so, so of course, had great service. Our server was thorough, friendly and personable. Definitely going back

So the pizza wasn’t my style. But that doesn’t mean I leave a bad review! Service was beyond amazing. Soda was out of a can. Bread was fresh and good. My friend said he loved the pizza. Next time I would like to try the pasta. Wish they’d have a more basic menu option.(Pepperoni, mushroom, sausage) But hey it was hot and fresh :) so for that 4.5 stars.

Piola is Ooh La La. There is everything to like at this Piola-and all the Piolas, as quality control and consistency is ironclad by the original owners. The pizzas are made in a top notch fashion, starting with the dough. The dough is the foundation of an acceptable, never mind excellent pizza. Without the dough being right, the pizza is out of the zone, a predetermined failure; nothing can save it. The dough MUST have live yeast, smell yeasty, and expand when heated, because the yeast activity of respiration accelerates and releases CO2. It must have a «fresh baked bread» taste because THATISWHATITIS. Frozen dough, or dough that is more than a couple days old, refrigerated, is for wall plaster only. The dough at Piola IS fresh, and is made with semolina flour with a dash of CORNMEAL, which gives it a different and very nice texture. The outside, perimeter of the crust makes bubbles, which is very nice. The crust is super thin(it could not be thinner) and is strong and has a slight burnt taste which is delightful, as lovers of Indian nan know well. The pizzas come out very quickly, which must be the result of a hotter oven. Works for me. The toppings are everything you could want and then some. The cheese that is used is not some«plain vanilla, white bread» bland glop, but a piquant cheese with a little bite that wakes your taste buds, but not out of the zone that keeps the balance with the other toppings. Now, I personally like my pizza a little different, with a bit more tomato sauce, and some of the toppings warmer than room temperature. I related that to the owner and his wife, who run this franchise. Their response was beautiful: we will customize your pizza to your preference, no problem. Just let us know. Intelligence and diligence is hard to surpass, yes? The owner and his wife are very much involved, as is obvious. The staff is a cut above the low skilled, gee whiz youngsters that wait on customers these days. This staff-as is the Hallandale location-are interesting, bright, and engaged. There is no downside here. The whole operation has been well thought out and executed as well. Best in class.

After a long drive home on a Sunday evening we were craving pizza and wanted to try a new place so I Unilocaled found Piola and we gave it a try. Ordered some Chianti and opened up the menu to an array of pizza options that looked so delicious I couldn’t choose and just went for the margherita with fresh basil & my husband opted for Honolulu with added fresh garlic. Both looked amazing when they arrived at the table, unfortunately for me that wasn’t the case after my first bite. I absolutely do not like when pizza crust is covered with cornmeal(or whatever that cornmeal like substance is) and this crust was encrusted with it even burnt into it giving the crust a texture that was difficult to swallow. Yuck! Good sauce, good cheese, good fresh basil but as much as I love thin and crispy crust Piola was just not my preference. As for the Honolulu pizza my husband loved it, even though they forgot the fresh garlic, it reminded him of the pizza he grew up with in Northern Europe and has now become his favorite pizza in town. Service was good not too fast not too slow our server was friendly and attentive. We’ll give Piola another try but I’m going to opt for pasta next time and stay away from the pizza.

Food was delicious! I had the pasta legnano but with pappardelle and killed it before I was able to take a pic. But here’s a pic of the aftermath… A must try!

Our experience here was amazing. The staff was really friendly and professional. I was surprised on how much they could explain regarding the products that I questioned through the menu. The food was really well presented and the taste was beyond my expectation! Recommend stopping by!

Unique pizzas are all over this menu! Piola is a new addition to the US1 corridor tucked in between a bar and another restaurant. That stretch of restaurants has a ton of outdoor seating which is nice. It is seating that looks directly at a parking lot, but alas, they try to spruce it up with plants on the walkway. Seating inside is also plentiful with a small bar area and tv for sports fans, multiple booths, and tables. It appears to be able to accommodate groups easily with existing seating. The look is loft, industrial, but I was comfortable enough. The star of the restaurant is the pizza slot where your thin-crust pie is baked to perfection. The crust is thin, but still has a chewy texture. The toppings were fresh and the pizza was served with parmesan and pepper flakes to spice it up. The menu offers a wide selection of unique toppings and pairings. We tried the Honolulu(ham and pineapple) and Ortomisto(veggie) but there were lots of wild options like Carne & Compagnia which included every thinkable meat and pulled chicken! Plus lots of specialty cheeses(goat, gorgonzola, burrata) and pies topped with arugula or prosciutto. The portions are certainly enough to share for two people especially if you order a salad or pasta dish. We were going for it though and each had our own pizza, with a bit of leftovers for the next day. They seem to have a great early week(M-W) special with $ 6 and $ 7 pizzas between 4 – 5 and 5 – 6.

It was late on a Friday evening and I was hungry so I started searching for a place and stumbled upon this place. Boy am I glad I did! I ordered my food to go. While it was being made I sat at the bar and had a caipirinha(Brasil’s national drink. With Brasilian rum, sugar and lime) the bartender Gabriela was very very friendly and made the best caipirinha I’ve had in Fort Lauderdale. I will definitely be back to try more of her drinks. I arrived home with order of the pizza capricciosa and the beef carpaccio. My pizza had artichokes, mushroom and ham. It was so delicious. Fresh. Thin crispy crust. Pizza sauce was on point. The carpaccio was also very tasty. Came with capers and cheese. I ate the whole thing in one sitting. The beef was so tender and melted in my mouth. I will be going back to this place to try more of their food. Friendly service and cute establishment.

From the service to the wine, salad, pizza and dessert, delicious and wonderful experience. I had a glass of Malbec to begin with which was fresh and delightful. My husband had the funghi misti and with Valerie’s recommendation added mozzarella. The crust was thin and cooked perfectly, ordered a side of tomato sauce and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Best pizza we’ve had in a while. I had the Aristotle salad. Basic salad with mixed greens, cucumbers, goat cheese, tomatoes, olives and a red wine vinaigrette. Exactly what I was looking for in my dinner. Looked and tasted fresh. Dessert was AMAZEBALLS. Properly made large profiteroles that we shared and cleaned the plate. Only thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been an espresso but not at 1030pm, I’d never get to sleep. Next time :) I’m very much looking forward to returning and highly suggest you have a visit!

I have long adored the Brazilian pizza chain Piola and have enjoyed their special thin crust pies when I used to live in Miami Beach and even popped into their Buenos Aires location while strutting through Recoleta. While I haven’t been to the Lauderdale location not too far(200 yards?) from Whole Foods, I did splurge and order delivery over the weekend. Unfortunately I am out of their delivery zone but they were able to bring it for a $ 2.50 surcharge. Fortunately I don’t know what they’re talking about because the pizza was delivered in under 30 minutes and was as piping hot fresh and yummy as I anticipated. Piola is a bit of an upscale Latin oriented eatery so for those who like their pizzas from the Italian influence on the southern cone nations of Latin America you’re going to get some very fresh authentic and organic ingredients and my sausage and arugula did not disappoint. On a splurge, since I’m eating a lot less meat, I through caution to the wind and ordered their beef carpaccio. OMG the nearly transparent slivers of raw beef swimming in a mild puddle of extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice and juxtaposed against edible swirls of parmesan slices of cheese was just gourmet! That was inhaled in a matter of minutes. Fort Lauderdale is blessed with a lot of yummy mom and pop pizza joints so I like to give them the support they deserve, but I must confess, I’ll be ordering delights from Piola again(and again!). In closing, I used the EAT24 app on my Unilocal app on my android — works like a frigging charm! Love it! Winning!

I’m happy I can give this place 5 star(even though my pizza was mistaken wrongly made… And my second caipirinha was not done properly — too small to remove a star thought, it was delicious anyway :) Italian pizzeria with Brazilian influence(I’m curious what brought this mix together), the pizzas are thin, very thin crust, two ways, ‘Regular,’ with tomato sauce and cheese, and ‘White’, without the sauce; you can also update it for wheat version for a $ 1 up charge. Very affordable and tasteful, they have a lot of options and a couple of Brazilian style pizza with Catupiry, a very good type of ‘creamy cheese’ we have back in Brazil. We had the Rio de Janeiro pizza, ‘regular style’. It was really good! Super crispy! Drinks on the menu are most Brazilians, flavor Caipirinhas for ‘drinkers like us’ and my favorite juice — pineapple blended with fresh mint leaves. For desert we had Proferoles(not sure it it’s spelled right), it’s a puff pastry filled with vanilla ice cream and covered with hot chocolate fudge, comes two and big enough to split in my opinion. — They have full bar and great options for lunch. — Every 29th of the month you can have ‘Gnocchi all you can eat’ with different sauces, I’m curious about it. — Service was welcoming and efficient. — Place is clean and kind of small for over 10 in a group(you might want to call in advance to see if they could ‘hook you up’ in a over 10 situation like we saw tonight. Even though they were not ready for a table like that, they made it possible, moving things around and improvising a bigger table. Ohh very important: — Ladies night after 7:00pm till close every Thursday :) Ladies drink for free house wine with diner.

Though a chain, it’s a rather small chain restaurant with only about five Florida locations. The best thing about it, however, is that it is completely void of any chainy restaurant feelings about it. This particular Paoli has a very pleasant invitingly nice décor about it, spotlessly clean, a super superior wait staff and even though in a strip mall location, a most pleasant setting both indoor and with a sidewalk like outdoor patio area. The menu is predominately all of pizza but each seemingly having certain unique twists about them; not at all as are regularly found in most pizza establishments. Indeed the culinary bent seems to be Italian but with a sort of Brazilian or Argentinian like flare about them; possibly stemming from the fact that they also have operations within those countries as well. To start my meal I ordered a glass of Chianti wine which I’m please to say was both very good and came with a generous pour to it. Then, their Aristolete salad comprised of a mixed green, goat cheese, cherry tomato, black pitted olive and cucumber with a red wine based vinaigrette dressing. As far as salads go, I found it to be top notch delicious, a four stars winner of a salad all the way. For my main I selected what I best recall as going by the name of Como, a basic white thin crust pizza with a main topping of prosciutto crudo, being a very thin sliced uncooked dry aged ham. I must say that they certainly weren’t hesitant about slathering on a good helping of the prosciutto crudo, but compared to the prosciutto crudo I’ve had in the past, it sort of lacked in substance of flavor, in fact rather nondescript bland, being more the equivalent of lesser quality cold cut ham, and for the price tag of $ 17, would have expected better. Though I liked Piola and won’t hesitate to return, I didn’t find it to be a restaurant I’d go out of my way to visit. Also with the fact of having places such as Sage and the Q-Bar, though totally different in concept, rather stiff competition as far as quality of food or the mastery of culinary arts.

I went for the $ 14.95 all you can eat gnocchi on the 29th of the month. They bring out 10 different bowls of gnocchi throughout the evening with different sauces. pesto, salmon/cream, 4 cheese, Bolognese, broccoli and cream, cherry tomato and garlic, mushroom and cream, etc. You can choose how much they serve you and get as much as you want. Service is friendly and efficient. My friend had the meat pizza and said it was good. They have a pizza deal on Monday and Tuesday. Starting at 4−5pm the pizza is $ 6 for any pizza. Then at 6pm the price goes up a dollar. It is a great deal! I will be going back for pizza. We also had the profiterole for dessert. The dark chocolate topping was very good. The size is good for $ 7. The middle was filled with ice cream. Very good dessert! There is parking in the attached lot. They have outdoor seating. You can hear the live music from Q bar next door. There is a small bar inside with large screen tvs showing sports. Overall, a great experience. I will return.

Muito boa comida! So without doing a thorough investigation it’s seems this place is a brazilian casual italian eatery. If that makes any sense, more power to you. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was starving, thought about trying DBA café but their lunch menu had like 4 items on it and there was no one eating there so we went on a little stroll and saw some activity at Piola and decided to give it a try. The ambience is clean, modern, casual. Simple bar, open prep area, tables and booths. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Menu is large. Maybe 25 pizza options, 10 salads, 10 pastas, 10 apps and 5 other items. While scouring over what to get I had to follow one of my food rules which if Burrata is on the menu I have to order it. The Burrata pizza was fresh, flavorful, and topped with gobs of heaven. I also sampled the seafood themed salad which had top notch ingredients artfully arranged on the plate. For dessert, the tiramisu, I was hoping for just a little bite but it came out a huge plate of espresso soaked lady fingers topped with whipped marscapone and powdered cocoa. For $ 6 it was great but not as good as Pane Dolci. Definitely a good meal, can’t wait to come back.
