I purchased a Groupon for a 50 minute massage with hot towels and aromatherapy for myself and my grandmother. When I called to make the appointments, they asked if I wanted the massage at the Federal Highway location or the Las Olas Boulevard location. I made the appointments for the location on Las Olas Boulevard at the Symphony. When you have an appointment at Spatopia at the Symphony, your able to use the«spa-like» amenities such as: the gym, sauna and whirlpool. We arrived about an hour before our scheduled appointments to use those«spa-like» amenities. I personally didn’t use the gym equipment. However, I did use the sauna and whirlpool. The one downside about the whirlpool is that the temperature was warm, like bath water. You also have the option of leaving your personally belongings in the lockers and using the showers — I should say shower since there was only 1 shower to use. We had the option of either having the massages in the same room or in separate rooms. Which is nice because you usually have to pay extra for a «couples massage». We opted to have the massages in the same room. I had my massage with Robert. My grandmother had her massage with Marsha — whom she requested from previous experiences. I personally thought my massage was great! Robert did a fantastic job getting the knots out of my shoulders and back. My grandmother enjoyed her massage as well.

Maybe it’s because I was a first-timer – but I was overall pretty pleased with our couples massage we had on our anniversary. We treated ourselves to a hot stone massage for an hour and a half and practically had to be dragged from the room. My masseuse threw in some reiki for free, and while I’m not sure where I stand on that stuff I noticed a lot of energy changes the next day – especially with my knee injury. Facilities are small, modest and good. Wish they had a hot tub for couples to sit in. If we ever go again, we have to soak separately – bummer. Ask for Suzanne.

My fiancé and I went for a massage the other day after reading all the reviews online. We decided to come to this location over their other one because it was close to our lunch location. My massage was with a man(Kevin) who usually works at the other location — I mention this because I feel like I received the bare minimum massage while my fiancé got all the works — hot towels and aromatherapy. I suppose it’s because Kevin doesn’t have a full time setup at this location. The massage was just ok. I have gotten massages for some time now and this was one of my least favorite. 1. The location: The couples room is very bare — the radio for spa music is on the counter right at the head of the two beds. The music was right in our ears and was way to loud. 2. The woman(Karin) doing my fiances massage was very noisy. She sat in this small chair with wheels and the loud squeaks every time she even adjusted her weight was SO loud I never got to relax. The music turned off — my guess is the CD was on repeat because it took about 5 minutes to restart — during the 5 minute silence all I could hear was the chair… I think they should as a professional — realize the sound is there and have it fixed. 3. At the end of our massages Karin was cleaning up and putting things away. I heard bottles clinking together, things being washed, and then when she walks by says loudly«Don’t fall asleep on us» — I wasn’t — I was waiting to be quietly told our massages were over and then them leaving so we could get dressed. Kevin was no where to be found — I knew he left because the door to the room slammed when he walked out. We won’t be using their services again. I hope they make some changes. The place is really pretty on the outside. Sadly the service just isn’t up to par.

Spatopia is a piece of heaven. I’m so glad I discovered it. I first came to Spatopia about a year ago for a deep tissue massage. The spa had a nice serene atmosphere and the prices were much more reasonable than the spas on the beach located in expensive hotels & resorts(overprices for tourists). Sharon, the owner, makes sure you have a good experience. She was the reason I came back again and has been going there since and always recommend it to my friends. Sharon told me about the second location of Spatopia on Las Olas Blvd. It’s a smaller, more intimate spa, that also feels more luxurious and the hours are better since they are opened on week-ends till late. I just had my facial done by Marcela today. She was able to give me some valuable suggestions regarding my skin. Very attentive and professional like the rest of Spatopia team. Always feeling refreshed and relaxed after coming there!
