Inconsistent coffee with all other Starbucks locations, as if an orphan shop. On top of mediocre coffee, they wouldn’t even accept any Starbucks rewards program codes.

The location is great, the service was great, the only thing I wish they had was more seating and a slightly clearer sign. I probably walked past it twice. The drink itself was one of the better ones I’ve had at a Starbucks.

Thank goodness for this location! They could use a better sign because I walked past the location for 2 days and didn’t know it was hiding!!! I hope someone reads this and puts up a better sign!!!#

Really nice outdoor seating with ocean views. You don’t have to be staying at the Westin to stop in — this Starbucks has a separate entrance from A1A and Granada.

What rock have I been living under? How is it that I had never tried a Salted Caramel Mocha? How is it that I had never HEARD of one until I strolled into this Starbucks on a Thirsty Thursday morning? I confess, I’m not the biggest coffee drinker. In fact, I tend to have more syrup than espresso in my drinks, but that’s neither here nor there. I had my hubby order me this drink purely out of curiosity. My expectations weren’t very high. I had previously expected to be wowed by the Caramel Macchiato, the first time I ordered it, but was sorely disappointed. So anyway, I get the drink – hot, even though it’s 90 degrees outside– and I take the first sip as I switch my infant from one hip to another. I take another sip. I take a third sip. Holy cow! I look army cup in amazement. That was some good stuff! It’s tasted like salted caramel hot chocolate heaven. I couldn’t even taste the coffee, which is just want I aim for and usually have to get 2 – 4 extra pumps to accomplish this. I have found the Holy Grail of coffee beverages. Any who, about the Starbucks location. Good service, cool baristas. Thanks for introducing me to La Mocha!

Man, this is a busy Starbucks! They tend to mess up my drink orders here, but they’re pleasant and always quick to fix it. Love the location and outdoor seating, but is it just me or are there always a lot of smokers outside?

I don’t drink coffee, but my wife does. So to keep her company, while she’s downing a cup of Starbucks’ Java Chip Frappuccino, I enjoy the Teavana tea, hot chocolate and/or baked goods. We visited this Starbucks three times during our recent trip to Fort Lauderdale as it was about 50 yards from our hotel.(Despite what the Unilocal map indicates, it is actually located on Beach Boulevard at Seville Street.) The beverages and foodstuffs were fine, pretty much like any other Starbucks. The prices were a bit high for what you get, also much like any other Starbucks. The interior of this one, however, is a bit nicer than most, with lots of couches. The walls are adorned with vintage African travel posters. They also have outdoor seating.

People may complain about the high prices but they’re forgetting about the extra toppings that go with the sweets/snacks…fruit flies probably enhance the sweetness, their substitute for sugar… I’m not sure if they cost extra…

This has to be the best location of a Starbucks in Fort Lauderdale. It’s right on the water. I love to come here and write with my computer in one hand and cup of tea in the other. I love the outdoor seating. Really helps my creative flow

It’s a starbucks next to a beach!!! How does it get better than that?! This starbucks location is located in the Westin hotel. This starbucks branch is large, clean, well lit and has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Pricing is a hair more than your other non-hotel-based-starbucks. Since this branch is run by the Westin it, unfortunately, does not accept, or participate, in starbucks rewards.

Although the cost is rising, the staff is very friendly and cheerful making 6am and an $ 8 coffee seem bearable. Good job Starbucks!

A hotel Starbucks. I remember when they didn’t accept the star rewards cards at all. Now they do accept the program but forget about getting your free reward drinks –minus a star, they will be more than happy to tell you they don’t do that. Be prepared to pay a beach hotel premium… the markup is about 50 or more cents per drink –minus a star– depending on what you order from a typical Starbucks shop. If you have an explicitly you designed drink, you may want to walk them through it so they won’t hand you something that makes you angry after your first few sips. They tend to not be great when its really busy. At least I’ve gotten unsolicited free drink vouchers on two separate occasions for two ill-concocted drinks from one particularly aware manager, so an extra star for her. If you have the means and/or time to get over to another nearby Starbucks, there are company stores over the bridges on 17th street Causeway and East Sunrise Blvd who are much better and who DO honor your rewards eg. You can get your hard earned free special you drink. Otherwise, it’s where you can get your right there on the beach Starbucks fix.

Yes, its a franchise and I doubt this review will sway you if you are a die-hard Starbucks fan or a hater. That being said: this Starbucks is beautiful and friendly. Located in the hotel we were staying in, it’s filled with excited tourists getting breakfast and we were no different. We got our breakfast here everyday. It was sweltering hot(obvi) in Southern Florida in July so I always ordered a blended Frappucino and usually got a banana and yogurt for my daughter. The outdoor patio was well shaded and breezy as the Atlantic Ocean is directly across the street. Our first big family vacation was stressful, and also wonderful but went by WAY too fast. By dinnertime everyone was overheated, overtired, and starving. The mornings were the best and most exciting parts of the trip, and this Starbucks felt less like a chain and more like a local place to get our caffeine fix. Starbucks is always the same, which can be great or boring. At home, a Java Chip frap is a sugary indulgence that feels wasteful. On «vacation», away from home, schlepping kids and gear around the beach all day, the same drink is comforting and well-deserved.

My favorite Starbucks ever! A direct view of Ft. Lauderdale Beach from their patio. They always move the line quickly. Only frustrating thing is the lack of parking!

I live on Fort Lauderdale Beach and I frequent the many Starbucks in the general area. I’m not too sure if this is a corporate decision or there is something else going on here. In the past I will see some small differences in pricing from location to location, which I believe is normal. What I don’t believe is normal is charging over $ 7.00 for a Venti Americano and a Banana, when it is $ 4.70 at most other locations. Corporately run companies should keep things consistent. As a consumer and a loyal customer, I am disappointed on principle here and have a right to be. Still waiting for an answer from head office… Curious as to the reasoning other than economics.

Located n the Westin Beach Resort, I have been putting off coming here for some time. Something about captive audiences just doesn’t sit well with me. If you have read any of my other reviews, you will know that I am a stickler when it comes to my coffee. This particular Starbucks is just not up to par, though. The staff is friendly, but the coffee experience is just not the same. The same meticulous attention to brewing just doesn’t seem to occur here. Couple this with the excessively long lines, lack of seating, poor circulation and their inability to accept my Starbucks App payment and I am just not as enthralled about this location. At least they have a view of the Atlantic that is really beautiful to offset some of the bad.
