For all vegan/vegetarian foods, this restaurant is the best. I think the only of its kind in south Florida — at least in Fort Lauderdale.

Almost everything here was absolutely delicious except maybe the cake. We were especially amazed by the mushroom ravioli. Even something like mac and cheese(vegan version) was very flavorful and I don’t even like mac and cheese normally. My biggest complaint would be that the portions are just plain sad for certain dishes. My picatta was a decent sized portion but the mushroom ravioli had only 6 pieces, that’s a sad amount for the most expensive entrée on the menu. It was so delicious we wanted more but the size seemed more like an appetizer. The chocolate cake was good but nothing special. Just ok for vegan dessert, I would have preferred a denser cake with more rich flavor but the liquored cream was good. For the taste of the food and I would give some of the other desserts a chance, I would definitely be back.

Really good, the mushroom ravioli was absolutely killer. Too small of a portion(only 6 ravioli) but absolutely delicious. Our bartender Dan, was awesome! Definitely a little high of a price point. The ravioli was $ 21.

Ambiance is really nice but the food is average; I would have expected quality but got mundane tastes… This is not a quality restaurant… Oh and the waiter was rude and unprofessional…

WOW! First time eating here and I was completely blown away. Perfect ambiance, amazing entrees and desert too! I will be coming here very often. I am transitioning into eating vegan like so it’s perfect. Also, the manager and service is amazing! Thank you for a wonderful first time experience!

Definitely a unique food experience! The restaurant is very big. The ambiance is quiet and serene. The servers are polite and very professional. It’s nice and romantic dining here. This is my first vegan restaurant experience and I went in expecting not a lot of options or flavors but boy was I wrong on both parts. We started off with a potato and red pepper chowder. It was deliciously thick and creamy. Perfect for the recent blast of cold Florida weather. Its a big portion as well. We got to try baked polenta fries compliments of the chef. This reminded me of garlic bread but not as airy and more dense. Next up was their famous Frito Misto, a fried cauliflower appetizer. The sweet and tangy glazed fritters reminded me of sweet and sour chicken at Chinese restaurants but the crunchyness of the vegetable made it better. It was very very good. The mushroom ravioli came with 6 pieces beautifully laid out in a star shape. The pasta slices were thin, the filling in the center was flavorful and the cashew cream sauce was amazing. Eaten together with the basil and sun dried tomatoes, it was heavenly. I had the vegetable lasagna and yes I loved it! I usually love meaty thick lasagna but this was unique and it was still delicious. I only had 1⁄3 of it because it was such a large portion but just as good heated up the next day. It had zucchini, different squash elements, eggplant and an amazing tomato based sauce. Definitely a must try! They had great desert choices but I had a lack of stomach space. Will go back for sweets!

Service was great. Food was just ok and a little over priced. Sliders, the bun was nice and crispie but the gardein was chewy and lacked flavor. The pretzel dip medley was great especially the caramelized onions dip. The mushroom pasta was ok.

I passed through Fort Lauderdale on my honeymoon and absolutely loved Sublime! The best dish we had was the Frito Miso(tempura cauliflower with a sweet-sour glaze), which is apparently their most popular dish. YUM. We also loved the polenta fries – I’d order them every time! It’s heartwarming to know that 100% of the profits go to support animal welfare.

I went for my belated birthday and I wasn’t disappointed! I’m vegetarian and savor any restaurant that I can go to in which I don’t have to scour the menu for that one item I can have. Here, I can have EVERYTHING on the menu. YAY! My husband and I shared the fried cauliflower and I got the ravioli, which were great. More awesome were the cosmos I ordered from the bar. Oh my gosh, so strong! I didn’t notice our food being late, but I am told that, in my inebriated state, I was very worried about the table next to ours not getting their food on time, so maybe service was a little slow? Anyway, it won’t deter us from visiting again when we’re in town.

We started with the cauliflower appetizer… so yummy! Then everything else was fabulous from there… including the dessert. Let your wait staff give you recommendations… that’s what we did & everything he recommended was perfect! We can’t wait to return!

Vegan restaurant in Florida! Omg, yess! My man and I made a trip to Florida starting from Orlando than to West palm for a cruise to Bahamas and ended at Fort Lauderdale. And let me tell you, I am so sick of eating just potato product, i.e. fries and potato salad and hash brown! So you can imagine my excitement I was finally gonna be at a place where i can eat whatever i wanted and feel completely secure about it not being a meat product! We started at the Bar and the bartender made me a tiramisu martini and it was so freaking good! I almost wanted a second one just because i’ve never heard of it anywhere else, but I refrained from too much sugar! They gave us a complimentary tofu dish, which was cool. The cauliflower appetizer was to Die, it had a sweet and crunchy undertone and it was just so omg yummy! We had an arugula salad which was just whatever and wouldn’t recommend it. The mushroom ravioli made up for it and it was really good! We also tried the Slider and it was decent but I’m not much for beans patty. overall a great experience!

This place is delicious. Went with a party of 5 and we all shared the Mac n cheese, fried cauliflower, and Derek and I shared the yellow split pea soup and we all ordered a Caesar salad with a lemon Dijon dressing and one ordered an arugula beets salad. That was just the beginning and it was incredible and filling. This place is all vegan. For the entrees were the black bean burger, stir fry schezuapn, and mushroom ravioli and it was all fantastic. I wasn’t able to finish the stir fry which was surprising. But of course there was room for dessert and we all split the pumpkin cheesecake and apple tart. So good. I def will be coming back. On top of all that, the owner was very nice and happy as well as the servers.

So I came here with 3 kids and my mom, and no one really knew where we were going. I knew it would be challenging with the carnivore kids so I didn’t say anything. I figured I would try and keep it a secret as long as I could, and see what happens. Driving over, I actually had second thoughts, but I went for it anyways. yes, Im selfish like that. We sat right away, and we started looking through the menus. Kids were puzzled, as I knew they would be, and then our waiter came over and spilled the beans on the place being«VEGAN», no animal products etc. My oldest understood, but the younger ones were clueless. I quickly ordered several appetizers, MAC-N-Cheese, Sliders and the Frito Misto, knowing that this would pretty much be all they were going to eat. Mom ordered the soup. We ended up getting the pretzel bread w/dips too. So the appetizers came, and the kids started munching. There were 3 sliders and decent sized M-n-C. My son, who was teasing the girls, who kept saying things like«Do they have real food here», didn’t want to eat the sliders, because he doesn’t like cheese on his burgers. So I busted his chops and told him, it wasn’t cheese. lol. He still didn’t want to eat it until I scraped it off. For main dishes, we ordered the Thai Curry, The Portabella mushroom stack, and the lasagna, mandatory side of fries, and the waiter brought out some polenta fries as we waited. Everything came out in a reasonable time. We were never short of food on the table. 4 appetizers, and then 3 entrees, plus a freebie and some soup, I knew I was going to take a few items home. The food was really good, but I wouldn’t say I was blown away. I really enjoyed all the dishes, and would have liked to try the other entrees. The prices were a little on the high side, but this was expected. The experience itself was great, and our server went above and beyond. My wife who ended up not being able to go was happy that I had brought home 3 nice sampler boxes of stuff. Overall, 4 stars for food, service and experience. Could have been 5 stars if the prices were a little more reasonable.

Fine dining type of atmosphere for savory vegan cooked foods. Impeccable service and food. Clean ingredients. Not cheap, but definitely worth it in quality and uniqueness. Go here for a special date/treat or celebratory occasion. They make vegan food taste so good even a meat lover could enjoy it

Can I eat this EVERYDAY? The cauliflower appetizer wasn’t something we were going to initially order but the waiter insisted anddddddd it was amazing. It reminded me of a Chinese chicken dish like orange chicken or something but of course without the death and suffering: D This was a pretty good portion, definitely enough to share with a few people. We also got the mac and cheese that had won awards for best vegan mac and cheese, and it was damn good I would give it an award too if I could. For my main dish I ordered the portobello stack, it was delicious. I was actually quite full at this point since I had half of both appetizers. I was too full to finish it but I did anyway because I’m not a quitter!!! Haha. I WISH I had enough room to have eaten dessert here I’m sure it would’ve been amazing! Pretty sad I live across the country. But if I’m ever back on this side of the pond I’ll surely be back!

I should put this review with a disclaimer: My husband is allergic to tree nuts and we share nearly every meal. Nearly everything in this restaurant, because it is vegan, is made with tree nuts. Pretzels — they have tree nuts. Mustards — tree nuts. We split most things, and the second I eat nuts, I can’t share drinks/food with him. This is our problem, but I do think it had SOME effect on why we didn’t love this place. To start, the restaurant is beautiful. The menu is small, but focused on all being made in house and vegan(obviously.) I was excited for the pretzels — they featured some mustards. Unfortunately, after the pretzels were served, we were told there were nuts with them(we had asked if they had nuts due to an allergy, and our server did not know, and they still gave them to us with the nuts in them… see the problem here?). Anyhow, I had started eating them anyway, because I was hungry. We still don’t know what the nuts were in. Pretzels were OK — nothing special, pretty dry — and the mustards were meh. I ended up just eating the pretzels on their own. Due to the obvious limitations, we ordered a blackened tofu piece, white rice, and some sort of veggie flatbread. Nothing was great. The tofu was the best — it was flavorful, but at nothing more than a slab of grilled tofu, it was something I could have done at home. Everything was forgettable. Overall, the food was bland and not memorable. I’ve been to vegan and vegetarian restaurants(our favorite meal is a vegan recipe we got from another vegan/vegetarian restaurant elsewhere) that were flavorful. I get this place caters to a certain diet, but it was all sorts of wrong for us.

This place was definitely over hyped! From the thousands of plaques on the wall patting themselves on the back for award winning service, food, and décor to the Unilocal reviews. As a vegetarian and working in the hospitality I feel I’m qualified and sorry to say from my experience none of these claims were true. The entire menu was very uninspired. Honestly the items on the menu I make at home on a daily basis. For it to be a Vegan restaurant I expected a lot more love and thought to be put into the menu. Even the salads were extremely basic! I have most of those items in my refrigerator at home. We tried the Cashew Cheese plate which was very good. Just small even for and appetizer. We decided not to stay for dinner so we tried what seemed to be the most popular item on Unilocal, the fried cauliflower which was simply fried cauliflower tossed in sweet and sour sauce, the end. Do yourself a favor and stay home and cook. Skip the dry service and boring menu.

Because I was hanging out with Joi, I ended up at Sublime twice. Both times the food was good and the service was… odd. My first time I had the mushroom pasta and it was delicious. That cashew cream sauce is no joke. And the cauliflower appetizer was super tasty. But the server had bobbled our order and when we asked that our app come out first before our entrees not with, that seemed to confuse things. Eventually we got our food and set to eating all the things. We received our bill and then sat and sat and sat until I went and fetched our server. Maybe we scared him. When we went back, I wasn’t super hungry so I got a beet and arugula salad with a side of ponzu marinated tofu. The tofu was amazing. The salad was more meh. I think the dressing didn’t totally work with the arugula. Again there were some small service bobbles but nothing terrible. Definitely a restaurant I’d visit regularly if it was in my city.

Since going vegan a few months ago, I’ve been interested in finding restaurants that specialize in this diet. Sublime does, and while the food and atmosphere are good, I can’t say it’s really all that great. First, I am reminded of the old saying, «You never get a second chance to make a first impression.» What happens first stays on the mind. We were greeted cheerfully and seated right away, which was all nice. I ordered an iced tea, which should have been simple. It wasn’t. Nor was it good. It tasted like iced tea with perfume poured into it. I’m not sure what flavor it was meant to be but it was gross. Sugar did not help. When this is the start of my meal, it’s hard to stay in a positive frame of mind. Now, had the menu stated that it was flavored iced tea, I would have asked what flavor it was. Since the menu only said«iced tea» I should be safe in thinking that I would be getting what was stated. I was wrong. More than once, as it turned out. The Frito Misto is very tasty. But it is still just cauliflower. Dip it in tempura and add a sweet chili sauce but you still have cauliflower. I was told the vegetable lasagna is delicious, but I’ve had that at many places and wanted to go with something different. I chose the mushroom ravioli. The food was good, the price was not. Six raviolis for $ 21 is a bit much. They were mushroom, not gold. My sister made the mistake of ordering the Caesar salad. I’m pretty certain I can make this without egg or sardines and it will be delicious. They could not. It tasted like romaine lettuce brushed with vegan mayonnaise. Completely without any flavor. My brother-in-law described it as «slimy lettuce.» He was quite accurate. Dinner for the three of us, without alcohol, coffee or dessert came to nearly $ 100. For fine dining, this would be acceptable. For what we had, not even close. I doubt that I would go back to this place. It just doesn’t measure up to the hype and I’m sure I can find other places with better food and better prices. I’ll keep looking and when I find them, I’ll be reviewing them right here.

Finally I had the chance to try Sublime Restaurant. It was my birthday weekend and decided to share it with some vegans friends. Let’s start by saying Sublime needs a Miami location«Pronto!». Although, the driving from Miami was not that bad, will be terrific to see the green Sublime sign in this part of the city. I started my journey with the Cashew Cheese Plate($ 11)… well thought, delicate flavors for an appetizer dish. Sublime has an organic garden on the premises, and you can tell the tomatoes tasted real. The«cheese» had a nutty flavor that combined with the basil and the black olive purée resemble an afternoon at The Hamptons. As a main course I had the Portobello Stack($ 18) and that’s when I realized Life has been so good to me throughout the years. My fellow diners were chit chatting and I couldn’t but focus on my stack. I was suspiciously silent, thinking that I wanted to come to Sublime for all future special occasions. For dessert, my friends ordered a carrot cake and a strawberry cheesecake. To be honest, I was too full to truly enjoy them. I had a spoon of each one. The cheesecake was good, the carrot cake so so. Although a pricey restaurant, Sublime stole my heart, and I graciously let it.
