The appliances they use in this complex are substandard. I have been living in this complex for years and they still continue to use off-​market appliances. Just about every 6 months there is an issue with the washer, dryer, dishwasher and/​or refrigerator and something has to be replaced. On average it takes about a week for maintenance to get around to servicing or fixing the appliance. Sometimes work orders are ignored completely altogether which is an issue with management. I have also experienced bad customer service at the leasing office. Very disappointing for the high price point of this building. The building has also flooded since I have been living here and I had to relocate to another apartment. If you are looking for more than just a good location and view avoid the headache and choose somewhere else to live.

My first time as a resident at SH was back in 2012 and I moved in thinking it was a beautiful, well-​kept building complex on the water (in the heart of Fort Lauderdale) that offered good security and good amenities. Well, it exceeded my expectations. Not only did it offer these things, but ALL of the staff, from the guard gate, to the valet, to the desk attendant, to the maintenance men, to the housekeeping, were pleasant, helpful and treated me like family. (Seriously.) If I ever had any issues, they were always handled promptly and professionally. (i mean like issues with a faulty outlet in the restroom– that’s about it.) I never had any real major issues here. If I had any minor ones, they were handled well. I was so pleased with my lifestyle at SH that when I needed to move again just a couple years later, I decided to move back there. Once again, the entire staff showed me why I Iike this place so much. Also, you truly feel safe and comfortable in this building. You can come home and feel serene and at peace– I don’t know about you, but I need those feelings. My neighbors were friendly, but not overbearing. You can make friends here and go to parties, etc, but you can also be a loaner– the choice is yours! It is VERY well-​maintained and they regularly have parties and events for the residents. The only reason I left SH is because I bought a home, but if I didn’t buy, I would happily stay here forever– I mean it. Thank you Lily, Yvonne, and everyone else at SH. I will miss you and SH.

Good location, fairly well run, there are newer buildings though.
