Sushi To Go

Meh. Not much to choose from in this neighborhood. The place could use some updating. Didn’t feel particularly clean. They seem to be deep frying without a vent hood so the whole place smells greasy. Sushi rolls were good. I don’t think I’d try the sashimi here.

I order from this place from time to time. Their delivery is fast and the sushi is awesome with the right price. I order the rolls with no rice and a lot of the sashimi. Always on point. The girl who takes my order is nice and always accurate.

Had the otc roll and the spicy shrimp roll. The rice was cooked perfectly, everything was very fresh and delicious. Pickups ready in ¹⁰⁄₁₅ minutes, can’t beat it!!!

We ordered a whole bunch of sushi last night to go — it was delicious! We ordered seaweed salad, miso soup, an assorted meant if rolls and salmon sushi. Everything is get resonantly priced, in fact it’s less expensive than most other places and they have a HUGE selection of endless options. All of the rolls we ordered were amazing! The only thing I didn’t LOVE was the salmon sushi… I think it was cut too thick. It was hard to eat and everything fell apart, the salmon rolls were much better. Regardless — we will be returning!

honestly such an amazing find. going to make coming here a regular thing for sure! got the OTC roll, the S&S (#83), and the JB roll combo. such a happy tummy. such an awesome low key local spot.

Great spot. Always fresh and delicious and can’t beat the prices. Menu is a bit on the long side with tons of rolls to choose from but everything I’ve had so far is great. Always start with the kanisu. Highly recommended.

Warm and inviting atmosphere, the owners are amicable and cordial– true nature of Japan’s people and culture– biased as I may be, i think I’m gong to love this place! New to the area, I am extremely please this is so close! The menu is salivating given so many options! i just ordered a bunch of food– going home and will be back with positive reviews and pictures!

Though Sushi To Go is located within an easy driving distance from where I work, it has taken me over four years of driving by, and seeing coworkers order, for me to actually try it. To be honest when I want sushi for lunch I tend to just go to Publix as the grab and go option is just a little but easier.
I arrived around 11:30 on a Friday to find the place empty, but their phone was definitely ringing. I hadn’t bothered to call my order in. I wasn’t in a rush, and I wanted to look over the menu. The girl at the counter was very friendly, took my order and I was on my way within ten minutes or so. I heard her quoting times for phone order that were coming in and those were closer to a half hour or more, so it seems walk in customers are served first. Though it is quite small inside there is sushi bar seating as well as a few tables, so eating in is an option.
I ordered the roll combo 3 which was 4 pieces each of spicy salmon, tuna, snapper, and white escolar. At ~$ 10 this is a pretty good deal. I’ll admit I did eat every piece, but by the last few I was kind of forcing it, this could be two meals. In typical American sushi fashion I ordered a side of spicy mayo. This is probably the one time in my sushi eating history that the spicy mayo was totally unnecessary. It turns out their spicy rolls aren’t a chopped up mix of fish and spicy sauce, but rather the rolls are made with the sashimi pieces and then cut up and drizzled with spicy mayo. There was plenty on top to satisfy my love of sauce, and I was able to save the side I got (I may have put it on an egg sandwich the next morning).
As for the taste and quality I found the sushi to be pretty good, probably 3.5 stars. For the speed it is definitely much better than Publix grab and go options. I appreciated the temperature of the rice. I really don’t care for warm sushi rice next to my cold fish. I wasn’t sure if I was in the minority so I googled this at one point and found there to be quite a debate over the issue, so while I am still not sure what the correct way to do things actually is, I’m glad the rice isn’t warm here. I would say it was cool… not room temp, but not refrigerator temperature either. Rice can really make or break sushi rolls. These were well rolled and the pieces were an appropriate bite size. The taste satisfied my sushi craving and the toasted sesame seeds on the outside were welcome.
Though the sushi didn’t completely blow me out of the water (I still may do the grab and go option sometimes, whereas if it had been really amazing I would make the extra effort more often) I rounded up to four stars because I found the staff to be very friendly. There only appeared to be two people working but they did a good job juggling the phone and preparing my food while keeping a smile. I was a little before a typical lunch rush however, but when you work in an area with lots of businesses, that’s the way you need to do things, or you won’t eat until 2pm.

I am a sushi lover! But sometimes I’m very skeptical about small places. But this place was amazing. The «off the chain roll» is an absolute must!!! They have a great selection of rolls. Amazing pictures on the walls so you know what you are getting. Friendly and quick service. Will most definitely come again.

I picked up sushi for takeout after work. The menu is extensive and the prices can’t be beat. The fish is fresh and everything was packaged well and tasted very good. I think their soy sauce has a slightly sweeter taste than average but that is not a complaint… just an observation. I ordered the Sea Combo 3 and the portions were good. I also ordered the OTC Roll because so many reviews mentioned it. What I did not realize is that you must choose either chicken or shrimp for this roll (this is indicated on the menu). When I called I wasn’t given a choice and I believe they went with chicken. It still tasted yummy but in the future I’ll definitely indicate shrimp.

Zomg! I may have, quite possibly, found the best sushi restaurant in South florida.
Mom and pop Hole in the wall place with huge menu and over 50 regular rolls and 30 new rolls.
Fresh fish and great prices. Friendly staff.
A must visit.

Perfect little hole in the wall place. You can stay and eat or get it to go… obviously. The prices are good. The quality of fish is really nice, the staff is lovely. Menu is huge with a lot of options for any level of sushi eating. Spicy tuna roll!!!

Sushi to go is just down the street from my LaQuinta hotel and I was in the mood for sushi, not donuts for breakfast. Because of their name, I expected this place to be very very small maybe just a grab and go place but I was pleasantly surprised to find a few tables and even a sushi bar. I looked at the menu and found my favorite, the spicy tuna roll. It was only $ 4.99 plus tax and is prepared fresh, made-​to-​order. It was not the grab and go type that sits around in the refrigerated section for hours. The staff explained that most of their business is takeout but you can also eat there as there are a few tables and sushi counter seating.
Because it is made to order, everything was fine. The temperature was right and the even provided soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger in the container. Of course, chopsticks and a napkin too. This place is definitely recommended for call ahead or snacking sushi.

This place is amazing!!! Great sushi. Great prices. *You should know I have had sushi all over the country and am very picky… This isn’t Nobu in Vegas, but it passes my test! For the price and free delivery it cannot be beat in the FTL area!

This place is the best! The quality of the fish is great and the rolls are some of the best I’ve had!
OTC roll is my absolute favorite and I order it every time. I highly recommend it. I love that they have pictures of the rolls in the restaurant. This helps me a lot when choosing. I’m extremely picky with sushi so being able to see what I’m ordering makes it so much easier.
I wish this place was closer to me. If it was, I would be here all the time! It’s probably better for my wallet that I’m not so close, however. ;)

Sushi to Go is definitely a hole in the wall, but I’m so glad I live close to it! Sushi to go is my go-​to cheap sushi place. The owners are super friendly and the food is very fresh. I usually do take-​out when I go. I almost always get the JB roll– their’s has salmon, cream cheese and scallions– delish! My only complaint is that their spicy mayo tastes a little weird.

I had my usual, two JB rolls. Good ratio of ingredients, salmon was very fresh tasting. Only complaint is that the rice was a little bit on the sticky side. For the price this place is great. I will definitely come again, maybe the rice was a fluke.

I’ve been to this place a few times now. First time I ordered take-​out; second time I dined in. Both experiences were excellent!
When I ate there, I ordered meal #75 which is a California roll, 4 pieces of nigiri and 4 pieces of sashimi. The fish quality was above average and I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially for the price! We also ordered a dynamite roll, spicy tuna roll and OTC roll. The OTC (off the chain) was very unique and excellent! All of the other rolls were very enjoyable. The owners are friendly and kind and provide excellent service. The prices are very good, especially for the quality you receive. It is nothing fancy, but it is definitely an excellent, enjoyable meal! We will be back again!
