The Brick

I gave brick a one star for my first review. If I could give a place negative starts, Brick would be down about 5. Despite my hatred, I was doing some prey stalking with a group of man-​eaters on a Thursday night, so I decided to take my talents over to Brick. My hatred for the place was just as strong as ever, but it is what it is, you are with your friends and try and make a ball of it. UNTIL. I felt something off, looked down at my cross-​body style bag to which I frightfully see that it has been unclasped and was now dangling open at my hip. with one major missing component: my cell phone. Wallet was intact, creditcards, even the 5 dollar bill that was resting aimlessly at the top of my bag. But the cellular device was GONE. I knew I had clasped my bag, I had done it only a few minutes prior when putting my ID away, so I knew this was not a case of fallen cell phone due to carelessness. It was stolen. Naturally, I flipped a bit. I told the nearest security I could, to which he informed me that there is a habitual phone thief who has made Brick their hunting grounds.
So if you did not think Brick was sleezy and disgusting enough in itself, it has a resident crook. What a snazzy touch.
Consider yourself warned! if you go here (which I ward against in general) make sure and keep close lock down on your valuables.

This isn’t a bad place to stop after you’ve had a few drinks else where. The place get jam packed with people in the morning hours. Like «how isn’t this a fire hazard» packed. It features a main and side bars, also sporting stripper poles. The girls serving the drinks are half naked pretty much if that is your fancy. I can imagine this is a good place to meet half drunken college students. Prices are eh… not worth trying to get through to the bar. If you’re looking for a massive amount of people getting drunk, this is it.

We only came to The Brick so that we could get a photo of my boyfriend getting a shot poured down his throat by a shot girl (he had the same photo taken last time he was in F.L. 5 years ago at the same bar).
That said, I don’t have alot to go on. I ordered a beer and it was served up quickly and average-​priced. What dropped the stars was the no-(or few — because I didn’t see any) chairs-​present setup, and the fact that it took 20 minutes to flag down the shot girl. I have a hunch that she avoided us (him) because I was standing next to him. In 99.99% of cases, I would have appreciated and respected this move, but in this particular case, we really wanted her to come over!
All in all, it’s a decent place but nothing fantastic compared to what else is around.

Good place to get started. Gets busy starting at 2am with a closing time of 4am. Music is usually Top 40. Has a Coyote Ugly feel to it but the crowd seems to be younger than other spots in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, however it can get a little crowded.

Everyone gets really psyched about the girls dancing on the bars here — but really, it’s not that awesome. They have terrible live performers here if you go early enough, but the music gets better as the night progresses. The $ 7 beer and a shot special is great, but good luck forcing through the throng of shameless men ogling the bartenders and dancers to order it. Go here once for the experience, but then make your way to another one of the bars in the area.

It’s not the best, but it’s a good starter. It get’s packed around 2am.
The music is pretty decent, no live bands though. Going to the bathroom is tricky here because the doors don’t lock, so you have to have a watchdog guarding the door.
There are three rooms. Dancing takes place in the center room, only. the other two are used for drinking and mingling.

It’s a cool place that usually gets packed after 2:00am and it closes at around 4:00am. The crowd is usually much younger than most places in the area.
Bartenders are pretty sexy and their best special is a beer and a shot for $ 7 all night long.
Beware of naughty, shameless college students in the bathroom!

i love the bartenders more than i actually love brick. amy and steve are just so awesome. everytime i walk through the door i have a shot and a jack and diet coke ready for me, as busy as the bar may get. i don’t ever drink beer but for those who do, it’s 7 $ all day everyday for a beer and a shot. seriosuly.
needless to say it is 100 times better off season than when season is at full force because of the insane amounts of douche bags and skanks from everywhere but south florida (like we don’t have enough, right?).
oh! and just recently half of the old shot girls quit/​got fired and they hired new girls skankier than usual, i mean really gross. i don’t mind them dancing but i don’t want their thongs in my face, learn to know your audience.

I don’t like this nightclub. It is loud, dark, and there are too many little kids with fake IDs. I even caught my friends younger brother in there once and I’m sure he is only 19 if not younger. The place is tiny and crowded. There is always a band and they always suck. I’ve been here so many times. I think my guy friends always drag me here because they like the fact that the girls are all underage. The drinks seem more expensive here than anywhere and the place is just dirty and gross. I like tarpon bend, sidebar, and even slims much better.
