The Deck is attached to a rather dicey hotel inaptly named«The Sea Club Resort». While the views of the ocean from The Deck are quite spectacular, make no mistake this is no resort. That said, this is probably my fifth time staying here. Why? The Deck and its close proximity to the ocean/beach. The Deck is great; great food, good beer, and friendly staff. And in all fairness, it does seem like the hotel has recently made some upgrades to the pool, lobby, and room furniture. Unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the need of a complete remodel of a hotel that probably was once a gem on the beach but has now sadly fallen into disrepair.

Wife ordered a Mahi Sandwich & was hospitalized with Food Poisoning. In a effort to prevent others from getting sick, went to the«restaurant» to simply inform them & despite being respectful & polite, they were rude, uncooperative & requested us to leave their premises. With that, we immediately contacted the Health Dept. & decided to post this review. Serving a item that wasn’t properly refrigerated or simply spoiled can I guess happen but to receive the arrogant & rude response deserves the attention to this matter that we are handling. Respectfully intended, do not patronize this establishment.

We were up early and this happened to be the only place serving near our hotel. That and the scenic view is really where the good stuff ends. Coffee was about the quality of gas station coffee and both breakfast combos my wife and I got were edible but not that satisfying. Our waitress vanished without a trace after bringing the food out and I wound up rummaging behind the bar for hot sauce for my eggs.

The Deck at Seaside Resort on Ft. Lauderdale Beach became a favorite of ours after moving to South Florida. We were regulars. Then a couple of years ago something changed, and service was abysmal. We once thought we must have been invisible. After 30 minutes we gave up and left having never even being acknowledged as being present. We did not go back until last weekend. SOGLADWECAMEBACK. The Deck has been remodeled, new sign, new furnishings, and new staff. We had a menu and our drink order taken within a minute of sitting down. Food — burger for me, chicken Caesar Salad for her — was as good as it always had been. And the Mojitos are to die for. Not watered down. Very well made. If you want to watch the beach traffic, or stare at the ocean from a beach side elevated view, there really isn’t a better place on Fort Lauderdale Beach than The Deck.

The Deck looks directly at the beach so for atmosphere gets a 5 star. Food okay not bad not awesome. Breakfast is a good price and we asked for home fries to be on the well done side and that’s how they came. Prices decent for right on the beach. Service was fast just not chatty. Would definitely go back it’s laid back, casual.

11÷11÷15. Lunch Our first meal in Fort Lauderdale. The Deck is the restaurant at Sea Club right by the beach on A1A. It’s up I second floor so you’ve got the view if the Atlantic. Food is your usual breakfast-sandwich-burger menu. It’s like dining on the beach – very casual, open air, water served in disposable cups and wines in plastic glasses. It’s alright by me consider the casual beachy atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you just go and grab a bite and head back to the beach. Both the burger($ 10) and grilled mahimahi sandwich($ 11.50) are fairly decent. Served with fries. For the San Francisco Unilocalers this place really reminds me of The Ramp. Diane our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She’s slammed with other customers but made sure we were taken care off. Water was always filled. Not a bad place to eat if you’re at the beach and need a quick nosh. Full bar for those who want to indulge!

Location is nice. Prices are reasonable. The omelette was tasty. The service was strange and abrupt. First we ask if they had cappuccino. The mumbled response left us still questioning. Sat down and asked the price of cappuccino. Again a mumbled response. Asked a few more questions whilst dining, and every time the waitress answered it was one word whilst walking away from the table. Was not really busy so not sure why.

I would give it 3 stars just because of the location. Nice view and just 1 min walking distance from our hotel. The food is not the best. We just ordered a sampler(3 mozarella sticks, 3 chicken fingers, 3 coconut shrimp and 3 onion rings) Their blood marry is not tasty(((

Came here for lunch today and had a good time! We came here later the in the afternoon so had no problem finding a table. It was nice to be able to sit outside while still being somewhat enclosed in case of rain or wind. The staff were all very friendly and laid back. Our server was an older gentleman and was very friendly and accommodating. We split the grilled chicken sandwich and cheeseburger and both were wonderful! The chicken was really moist and had great flavor! We ordered the burger medium, and it was cooked perfectly! we had fries and potato salad for our sides! The fries were excellent and nice and crispy! I’m a harsh critic of potato salad since I grew up having some of the best potato salad ever… and this was quite good! A laid back environment with a great view of the beach and tasty food! Would recommend!

The Deck restaurant was very crowded upon our arrival for breakfast, so we proceeded to sit at the bar. Due to the uncomfortable seating and my husband’s knees, we proceeded to move ourselves to a table that became available. We already had ordered the following: alligator omelet, sunrise special and croissant delight. Evidently, Frank our server was very aggravated due to us moving from one station to another. He stated that he needed the table. We explained to him that we HADTO move due to my husband being in severe pain from the bar chairs, but he was not very pleased with our move. We’ve received absolutely NOSERVICE from him. We had to get up twice to get our own refills on coffee and soda.. . We were unsure if we would actually receive our food, but it did finally arrive. My husband really enjoyed his alligator omelet… very distinct and pleasant taste. My eggs were also fine and my daughter enjoyed her croissant delight but due to the NONEEXISTING service never received the syrup. My husband’s toast came AFTER he ate his omelet. We even had to get up to get our own silverware. Let me reiterate that the taste of the food should’ve probably receive 4 stars, but the NONEXISTING service declined my rating. Frank’s colleagues served us or food and cleaned the table. When we tried to talk to the manager in charge, he hardly have us the time of day and walked away in the middle of our conversation. The view of the restaurant is beautiful, but it is located away from the centralized location of the action.

My man goes in to order us drinks, and the bartender says«you look 18, but your license picture looks 15…» We are both 23, way to get rid of customers by referring to them as teens. Rude as fuck, never going back. What kind of bartender says their customers look 15???

Found by chance wanting a place on the water but off the strip. A very pleasant find. No crowd, great view. AND easy free parking nearby. If you seeking a great little restaurant go. I’m from NY. I know food. Not fancy, limited menu. Loved the Bruschetta. Mahi was excellent. Fuck the dickheads expecting more. Seats were fine. What she didn’t say was she was 250 Lbs, lol.

Awesome view of the ocean. And every time we go there the staff is amazing beyond just serving you food and drinks. They want you to enjoy your visit to FTL… must experience!

2 stars because our server Frank had a great personality. Food was terrible. I had pancakes and an egg over easy. My husband had deck combo 3. Pancakes tasted like they were made last week, stored in the refrigerator and reheated in a microwave. My egg was so undercooked that the egg white was sliming all over my pancakes and I couldn’t finish either one. My husband said the«hoe fries» we’re good but corned beef hash, not so much. We left there and went to get a real breakfast. Don’t waste your meal on this. It’s not worth the calorie intake.

The«Deck» has been around for a long time and shows its age, as in really dated with a somewhat messy appearance behind the bar. The only thing it has going for it is its elevated view overlooking A1A, the beach and the ocean. As for food, it’s basically crap as are their fancy touristy and other mixed drinks. Unless you are having breakfast, which is a meal difficult to screw up, your best bet is to stick with beer for your drink and their overpriced average tasting burgers as your entrée. The service can also be iffy at best. Sometimes good, sometimes horrible, usually depending upon how crowded the place may be and it does get crowded on nice days, particularly Sunday mornings, generally with tourists and hotel guests, but very few locals. If it weren’t for its gorgeous view, breezy casual open air patio atmosphere and being a part of a hotel, the subpar food would kill the business off within a heartbeat.

5 stars for the view. 2 stars for the food. I just don’t understand places like this… You have prime real estate with an incredible 2nd story view overlooking Ft Lauderdale Beach. You’re mediocre because you can get away with it. Why not put more effort into your food and make this place legendary? Breakfast is hard to mess up. And the Deck didn’t mess it up. They just didn’t do anything beyond average. If you don’t mind mediocre food and just want a fantastic view, this is your place.

It is what is it. If you’re expecting fine dining or even halfway decent food then go elsewhere. If you want a place right on the beach, with decent prices and good for booze than give it a shot. The Deck is a place for greasy bar food and drinks, not to have some kind of fine cuisine. I had the burger and fries and they were both grease filled. Food isn’t the best but isn’t horrible either, it can do in a pinch but it won’t put a huge smile on your face. Service was decent, the waiter was a nice enough, wasn’t overly fast or efficient but he was friendly which goes a long way. All in all if you’re looking for cheap booze and bar food, give it a shot but don’t expect to be blown away.
