Have you ever tried finding a good quality replacement lampshade in Fort Lauderdale? If you have you know how hectic it can be as well as how undesirable are some of the cheap Chinese imports they carry in the big box store locations. Hence, I was delighted to find Turner Bay. Though listed as a lamp and furniture store, it’s rather smallish though adequate for my needs along those lines. but big on first class top of the line decorator and glassware items with such outstanding as well as lavishly expensive names such as Lalique wherein it’s easy to find drinking glasses running in the range of $ 350 each. But since a good deal of their customer base includes owners of and supplies to some of our local mega yachts, it can be a situation where expense or cost is more often a matter of no object. In fact, while here I ran into one of the better known yacht chefs who had just stopped by after picking up a case of wine containing 6 magnum bottles for a price of $ 18,000 and was lucky enough to get a taste form the one bottle that had been opened by the sommelier for tasting just prior to the case being picked up. Yes, it was heavenly in taste but with my lips touching it, more a matter of pearl before swine. The store is spotlessly clean, bright, a helpful accommodating staff with remarkably well ordered displays and even having a pleasant smell about it. If you really want to see a nice little unique, almost boutique type of furniture and decorator store, Turner Bay is certainly worth a stop by. And for certain items, like my replacement lamp shades, not all that expensive at $ 57 each.
