We Got the Beats

Lots of records and some pretty cool selections. I actually bought a new copy of Ten –Pearl Jam was happy to find it & a few others.

Thanks to RSD I found this place. They have a great selection of Cds and LPs. The employees are friendly. The day I went there was big event called Record Store Day and there were special releases and a live DJ. If you are into records you should check this place.

The best used lp store around. Best prices and selection. Tony, the owner is extremely helpful and kind. I highly recommend this store for any used and new lps.

I recently went to We Got The Beats while I was visiting friends and family in South FL. I am originally from the area and I’m happy to see record shops popping up again after so many closed in the early 2000’s…
THE GOOD…
–this is a crate diggers paradise!
–millions of 12″ singles (all genres… you name it, they prob got it!)
–a good amount of reissues (if that’s your thing) — prices were fair/​affordable
–a good amount of new records and RSD stock
–listening station
–had used LPs mixed in with the 12″ singles
–some organization throughout the store
–sells other media like cassettes, cds, etc.
–restroom (even more records in the back near the restroom too)
–easy to find parking
–prices were pretty fair
–guy working was very welcoming
THE BAD…
–a bit too much stuff I am not interested that I needed to sift through to find stuff some stuff I did want
–although I will dig through singles too, would be nice to have the LPs in their own bins
–listening station headshell handle is broken… made it challenging to cue and lower the needle
Overall, my first visit to We Got The Beats was positive. I walked out with 1 LP and two 12″ singles. I really could have gotten on the ground and did more digging, but had other plans. All in all this is a cool shop and worth a visit… be sure you’ve got time and patience!

Very friendly staff that knows what they have in stock and have to order. I also like that the store is organized by genre instead of media type. For example, all disco LP’s, CD’s and cassettes are in one section instead of being separated into different departments.

This is the new location of We Got the Beats. They are a classic old school record store (that’s vinyl to you kids lol). They buy back old records if you want to trade them in and will special order items as well. I have been here a few times, most recently for record store day which happens every April. The owners are cool guys and they are always willing to help. They do a big party for RSD every year with a DJ and food/​drinks.
If you have a passion for music like me, especially vinyl, this is a cool store to check out. You could easily get lost for hours looking at all of the old and new vinyl that they have. This is not a cheap hobby either but well worth it in my opinion.
