I was super blissed out on yoga yesterday thanks to Yogafest 2015. There was a ton of options for classes during the first half of the day, and I got to try Acro-yoga for the first time! It was an interesting experience putting that much trust in strangers that I just met, but it was also a great ice breaker experience. This kind of stuff reminds me of when we were kids, we used to play outside, meet new people and just enjoy the day. We totally need more of those days in our lives now. The 4pm class was one huge yoga class held by Keith Fox, the founder of Yogafest, and it was done with some amazing live music throughout the class. The energy of the crowd was great, a nice way to practice under the beautiful South Florida sky. I do wish that you could re-enter, but that’s only an option with the VIP ticket. The $ 20 general admission was very fair for all I got out of the festival, but I felt the $ 50 was a bit steep for VIP so I didn’t bother. Considering how many vendors are at this event, and some amazing vendors that you will for sure want to buy from, it’s better to save your $$ on the entrance so you can spend it on goodies. All in all, it was a great experience. Looking forward to Yogafest 2016 already!

Event planners they are not. These are Yoga folks. Paid $ 108 for a VIP ticket(normal admission was $ 20). This was to include VIP parking, mat placement at the yoga sessions, food and drink. Very disorganized beginning. We ended up finding somewhere to park. There was no marking for VIP parking. Very little instruction given so we went to the food vendors which were terrible-dirty nasty people and food care-looked like carneys(carnival people). There was no VIP mat placement at all. The yoga classes were good but it was soo hot-they all needed to be under tents and if people pay extra for mat placement-make sure they get it. A huge storm care up right as the last classed ended(early due to weather). Not their fault of course and people joyfully danced in the rain –like a mini woodstock without the sex and drugs. Once we asked and asked and asked– we finally found out we could eat at Maxwells(not the food vendors thank God) which was fantastic. We were able to get water and beer from the festival vendors without a problem. The evening concerts were fun. We we too pooped for the 9 pm after party(the festival started at 9 am). The clothing, jewelry, and other vendors were way overpriced. So, I might go back next year but I would pay the $ 20 ticket and buy my own food. They held it the same day as the air and sea show which probably impacted their traffic plus I would not do this at this time of year. To hot and rain potential. The folks who put this on give great yoga at their regular place-they just need some help with event organization
