Love this place. The phở and Thai iced tea are my go-to’s here. My husband always gets crispy spring rolls and those r great too. Staff is professional and the music is fun pop music that I enjoy. Will b back. The food is similar to Saigon kitchen but service is better here.

Authentic phở place! Their vegs were fresh, very generous with side onions and cilantro. Great service, will bring my hub here for more sweat!

Their grilled pork is yummy. The bahn mi was okay. I’d stick to their phở, rice entrees, or vermicelli. Small dining area that can easily and quickly get filled, especially if there is a large group.

MSG anyone? Went here, close to home, food was decent. Ordered again got sick/got glutened. Went a third time upon my daughter’s request for spring rolls. Waiter informed me everything had gluten in it(which is why I got sick the last time) and everything had MSG except for the phở. Ummm gross. I am disgusted. The waiters were so rude. They were not quite sure what gluten was after I really asked them a few times. Really? Basically the waiter told me if I have any allergies I should eat at home. So a giant middle finger to you bistro du saigon. Never again.

I love coming here. Really good food especially the Shaken Beef. Definitely a must try if you are in the Bergen County area. Plus, the waiter Peter is great at what he does. One main reason I come by is for the service. Give this place a try!

The phở here is great and it tastes even better with an order of coconut water. It tastes so fresh compared to vita coco and it comes with little specks of coconut shaving. However, the spring rolls were a bit disappointing. Size was so small and not worth money. The servers here are pretty monotone but get the job done. Overall, it is a good place if you’re not so concerned about excellent customer service and just want to eat and go.

We came here for a late lunch on a weekday, and it was a quiet little place right off main street. The beef skewers were just okay, the amount of seasoning that you see on skewers did not translate into well seasoned beef. Also, $ 7 for just 2 skewers seem too pricey. The bahn mi was pretty good, the bread was toasted so that’s a plus. The meat, we had pork, was flavorful, but we’ve had better. The phở broth was decent, though I was disappointed with the lack of basil. The beef was, unfortunately, overcooked in the phở. All in all, a pleasant experience but we will not be in a hurry to come back.

I’ll admit I was skeptical. Many restaurants have good reviews for Phở but most fall short of my expectations, having had really good Phở before. Luckily, this place did not disappoint. It’s a small place with a good atmosphere, nothing too fancy. I can’t speak for the service as I ordered takeout: — Summer Rolls: ok. — Phở: excellent. — Spicy Noodle Soup: good, but a little too oily for my taste. The beef in both soups was a little over cooked but that often happens with takeout as the meat continues to cook while ur driving home. Really flavorful broth that will definitely have me coming back. They only have one type of phở, with just the thin beef, but that’s ok with me. Will be back!

What a terrible experience. The kitchen and wait staff, a grand total of two people, were woefully unprepared for the Sunday lunch rush(perhaps to cut costs?). The food took about an hour to come out, and all we got were excuses. No efforts to remedy the issue, no offers to comp or even discount the tardy meals. Service was really atrocious. I will never come here again and will make sure to spread the word.

The food here is good if you’re looking for standard Vietnamese food and a quick bowl of phở. The crispy spring rolls were the highlight of our meal. The chicken phở and beef phở both hit the spot, BUT fresh basil was glaringly missing from the plate of sprouts, jalapenos, and limes(sacrilege!). The ambiance here is clean, contemporary. As for the all-male waitstaff — they were a little too no-nonsense and robotic. While the ladies in our group appreciated their tight black t-shirts and muscley arms(must be a job requirement?), these guys won’t be winning Mr. Congeniality awards anytime soon.(C’mon guys — turn those frowns, upside down.)

Ooh! So glad to have found this cheap/delicious viet spot. Tried the bahnmi, summer roll, and the phở noodle soup and everything was absolutely delicious. Very clean and simple tasting. Service was good and the price was cheap! A win on my book!

This is a more authentic option for Phở in the neighborhood. the server was very attentive and got us our food out to use quickly. We also got the summer roll and it was yummy. I agree with many of the reviewers of this place.

Firstly, they add way too much black pepper to the phở broth making this soup noodle dish super-spicy. And not in a good way. At times, the black pepper overpowered all other flavors in the bowl. I’ve had much better phở in Chinatown and other parts of Jersey. Second, the rice noodles in my bun dish came out warm. I’m used to having bun as a cold noodle dish. Not here though. I think the food preparer failed to run the rice noodles under cold water after boil. What a hot sticky mess. Lastly, the loud pop music that was being played was unfortunate. Maroon five and Ariana Grande on loop and repeat. Uurgh; face in palm.(If I have to listen to Adam Levine’s stupid falsetto one more time, I’m going to punch my car stereo)

Phở, Phở everywhere; its winter, the time for phở and you don’t care where. OK, but really, you should care where! Bistro Du Saigon won’t let you down. Situated off the main streets in a far-from-prominent location sits Bistro Du Saigon and as far as I can tell they are serving up some of the best flavored Phở in the area! It is immediately apparent that their broth is high quality and some true skill went into its creation. For my first visit I went with the beef variant and I could not be more happy with my selection. Along with an appetizer of steamed pork dumplings and summer rolls(also excellent) I found myself thoroughly satisfied and content with my meal. As others have mentioned this place puts Its neighbor down the road, pho32 to shame. Next time you have a craving for Vietnamese food or especially Phở, give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

Have to update my review, I went back to BDS last week and I was very surprised(a happy surprise!) to find out they have increased the portion of their phở. The noodles they gave you now is very generous. The flavor of their phở is still as tastefully as I remembered, It’s now a very satisfying bowl of phở. I heard they have opened another sister Vietnamese restaurants right by Batten Ramen and I will definitely visit there soon.

Vietnamese food is awesome, and I would have never even known this little place existed in my town if it weren’t for Unilocal.I came here for lunch on a beautiful Saturday with my boyfriend, we were very excited to try out a new spot. The menu is kinda limited as far as vegetarian options go, so I ordered the vermicelli platter with vegetable spring rolls. It was just what I wanted, very fresh and light. The spring rolls were crispy, the vermicelli noodles were tender and delicate, and the sauces were flavorful. And for $ 9, the portion size was decent too. As for the service, it was pretty slow considering only one server was working the whole restaurant. He forgot that I ordered a thai iced tea, and when our entrees came 20 mins later(my boyfriend ordered an appetizer) I reminded him. Instead of apologizing or admitting fault, he just said«it’s coming.» Not a huge deal, but it did rub me the wrong way. Décor is nothing special. Food is pretty much the shining star of this place, everything else is forgettable. Although I’m glad I got to try it out, next time I’m in the mood for Vietnamese, I’ll spend the extra 10 mins to drive somewhere that has the whole package.

This is your go to for Vietnamese cuisine. This is not only authentic but definitely puts the other phở places to shame. The beef broth is not only rich and flavorful but you can almost taste the hours they have put into their broths. I stopped by with my husband for a quick bite and every dish from spring rolls, beef skewers, beef phở and vietnamese coffee was all good. The vietnamese coffee had a good balance with the coffee and the sweet syrup that they have at the bottom of the coffee. The beef skewers had a little too much flavor but ask for extra lime wedge and squeeze it onto the skewers to create a balanced flavor, cuz that worked for us. The reason for 4 stars was for service and i understand that they were busy but having to ask for utensils, and forgetting our coffee was a bit annoying. Just sayin

Good Vietnamese restaurant. I would not call this a Phở place since their Phở menu is very basic. I probably would not even compare this place to Phở 32 across the street since that’s Korean Phở and this is more Vietnamese /American Phở. Beef Phở — so no choice in tendon, tripe or anything just overcooked beef briskets; the flavor was a bit sweet but clean; not having raw tendon or trip option was a bit disappointing; this was too dry for my taste. Crab Fried Rice — this was very tasty and could be one of their signature dishes; I recommended that they throw in some crab eggs for the poppy texture. Spring Rolls — cute little chewy dish that is fun to eat and share; it was a bit small but the texture is better than regular spring rolls. Would I come back? I may or may not. I have not decided. There’s one guy serving and it can get a bit dicey depending on how many people are in the restaurant.
