Grannies Diner

The staff here is rude, uneducated, not trained and just not friendly. I tipped our waitress 11 dollars and she acted like it was expected. My friend and I where seated by the front door and we could hear the the two waitresses in the back talking about another employee. And the owner was right there with them talking trash about her own employees. Will not be back. But the food was good. Her own employee happened to be the girl that was with me for lunch she was proud of where she worked. its pretty devastating to know these kind of people are in business.

Grannies Diner is a family owned and operated hometown diner. Food is great. Hospitality is superb. Atmosphere is homely. If you want good hometown cooking, visit Grannies. Doesn’t get any better than this.

We haven’t even got our food yet and already feel unwelcomed… took ten mins from the time we sat down to just get our drinks. Waitress isn’t friendly at all and could care less that we are here. Is it because we have our two children and newborn? Who knows… but it’s ridiculous. I’ve never felt this unwanted in a restaurant. I would give 0 stars of I could!

I have gone to this «diner» a few times over the past 10ish years and I’m NOT sure why.
Every time I leave I swear the place off forever! After this mornings experience it’s official –I will never be back!
We ordered a waffle and chicken fried chicken– simple right? Nope the waffle came out burnt to a crisp and the chicken fried chicken was 90% RAW!!! Not kidding and no exaggeration!!! The younger waitress was nice and cared a lot and felt really bad– HOWEVER– the OWNER/​COOK couldn’t care less! She still wanted us to pay for an uneaten breakfast WHICH IS PROBABLY GOING TO MAKE US SICK! She couldn’t even come out of her hole of a kitchen to talk to us or apologize for the mistake or the horrible breakfast!
Every single time we ate there we’ve had to deal with the owner/​cook and we’ve had the same horrible horrible customer service and treatment. There has even been a FEW times where I have argued with the owner in the middle of the restaurant over something as STUPID as being overcharged for meal that she WOULD NOT FIX/​HONOR! The owner does not care about the cleanliness of the restaurant, customer service or the quality of the food (not at all!!!) nearly as much as she does about getting the money out of your wallet! PLEASE DONT VISIT THIS PLACE–
