Awesome pinneapple orange soft serve! I could eat it everyday if i could! I aldo tried the cotton candy and it was delicious! My hubby loves their chocolate malts. I tried it and it was good. Worth every calorie!

I’m from out of town and I wanted some ice cream so I called and they said they were open until 10 pm. I went over right away and found out they do not accept credit /debit cards(which every respectable business should, even girl scouts can take cards now) and found out I didn’t even have time to run to the atm because they close at 9. Will never go there again. They sure charge just as much for their ice cream as they businesses that can run cards do, though!

this ice cream shop is the best around, not only is the ice cream great but every thing they make with it is great as well. the reason for 4 stars is because their sprinkles are mixed with nuts. They do not have just plain sprinkles, now who is most likely to want sprinkles? KIDS, and a lot of kids don’t like nuts and a lot have an allergy to them. I really wish that they would fix this little problem

It was over 100 degrees out and I could have eaten about twelve more soft serve ice cream cones. There’s a back room with indoor seating, a walk up window on the other side, parking all around and a nice little shaded area with benches and flowers in the back corner. Cash or local checks only. Not a problem because everything seems to be quite affordable. I think I prefer this ice cream over the putt putt place up the road!

I love these old ice cream spots. I had the hot fudge, marshmallow malt, and it was tasty. You have to work to mess up a shake and these guys don’t do that. The service was really friendly.

Ahh, the memories — on weekend evenings in the summer, we’d pile in the family car with mom & dad, and off we’d go to get extra-large ice cream cones. I’d be smiling ear to ear, and with ice cream ear to ear, all the way back home. Such are the memories, and it is so wonderful that the Fort Madison area still has these local ice cream shops. Hall’s is my favorite. Years ago, this was a Friesmeier’s Dairry store, but Halls has turned it into a local favorite. Weekly special soft serve flavors are a summer tradition. I am still a kid at heart whenever I go for ice cream, and what better way to share some time on a date, than stopping for ice cream at Hall’s.
