Always a pleasure to shop in Hyde when I’m near one. Employees are friendly and courteous. The shelves are stocked and store is clean.

Pretty standard setup for both the store and the gas station. Personnel nice and helpful and store was clean. Overall standard three stars for a chain outfit.

I love Hy-Vee on Agency in Burlington, IA. The employees are always nice, they say hi to you when you walk by. They are very helpful when you are trying to find something. The store is always clean, well organized and well stocked. Their prices may be a bit higher on some things than other places in town, but the convience is worth it.

Local grocery chain. Fresh vegetables and fruits, wonderful bakery items, and a adequate deli. One of the first chains to introduce the concept of an eat-in area near the deli where they serve hot meal entrees every day. Good and fast breakfasts. Their motto and jingle is «Shop Hy Vee, where there’s a helpful smile in every aisle.» Well it’s true — the staff are very friendly and helpful. I do nearly all my grocery shoping at Hy Vee. Oh, and there is one more thing that Hy Vee has that no other store in the area has — the Local favorite: Chocolate Sponge Candy. Ohh, this is a blast from by past. Every time around Christmas we would get the Sponge Candy from the Abel’s Grocery Store on Avenue G. It was a family tradition, and no one else carried the stuff. When Abel’s Grocery Store closed, I think it was in the late 1970s or early 1980s, Hy Vee started carrying it. I am so glad they still do. The nice thing is you can get it at Hy Vee year round now. It is still a special thing for us to get it at Christmas and brings back alot of wonderful childhood memories.
