Today, I experienced a situation that I left me speechless with the«customer service» at GNC. I went in to exchange a Gnc product for another Gnc product and upon telling the associate my intentions, she asked me if I had my receipt. I told her I didn’t but that I was informed by another associate when you bring in a Gnc product, it can be exchanged. She tells me, «well you could’ve bought this a year ago and we wouldn’t know». She then told me in a very condescending manner that GNC doesn’t provide cash back and if I’ve ever heard of a company giving cash back without a receipt… I told her I wasn’t asking for cash back and stated that I didn’t appreciate her being condescending to me like I’m ignorant. Then she tells me that’s not her intention. My intention was to exchange for another product and as I’m telling her this, she tells me to «calm down» and not get angry at her as she is backing up from the counter as if I am there to do harm to her. I was speechless and informed her the way she was acting will give cause for someone watching the situation to call the police. Again, she’s shocked and looks at me very incredulous as if I’ve insulted her. She asks what can I do for you, I do whatever you want to make you happy and I only inform her that I’m leaving the store and I will not be back and she then wants to give me her managers number to call him so that I’ll be satisfied. Um, you’ve already insulted me and made me feel like I was causing you harm or distress. I have learned not to go to this GNC for any future needs and focus on other health stores that understand customer service and not be antagonistic towards clients. And if the lady associate reads this review, I want to tell you I was not there do rob you, do you harm or cause you distress but you really need to learn from this situation and see it from a customers point of view that you were rude and your actions could’ve made the situation worse.
