I do not recommend this cleaner and will not go here again. I have taken our clothes there several times and they always come back with creases either on the collar, back lapel or sleeves that I have to iron. The latest… I picked up my husband’s shirt and it had a big stain on the front that wasn’t there when I dropped it off… the color of dry cleaning fluid. They told me they couldn’t get it out, denied any responsibility and wouldn’t refund the money that I paid up front for dry cleaning the shirt. Very poor customer service and extremely disappointed in how they handled the situation.

This place is terrible!!! I had a terrible experience like the last reviewer described, and I am kicking myself for not checking on Unilocal before going to this terrible, horrendous establishment. DON’T GO. Did I mention that this place is TERRIBLE? I knew something was fishy when the guy pressured me to prepay and got angry that I didn’t want to. I am only in this area for a month, so I don’t know what else is around to recommend as an alternative, but just don’t go here.

On September 27, 2012, I went to Dry Cleaning, Etc. in Ft. Mitchell, KY(beside Kroger) and I prepaid as I always did so I could get a discount. I paid $ 15.45 to get a few items dry cleaned and pressed, including one of my newer shirts which I had purchased from Macy’s at the Florence Mall(KY). When I picked up my shirt, I opened it and saw it was damaged. It was severe damage to the back of the shirt. I took it back to the store and showed the damage, which was not there when I gave them the shirt, to an employee. I brought in another shirt they had done and noted similar imperfections in the back of the shirt(where the damage wasn’t the Macy’s shirt). The employee(elderly man with glasses who usually says«thank you for your business» when you leave) told me that they had been having a problem with their equipment malfunctioning when doing the back of dress shirts. He told me that he found no damage tag on the item, meaning that the item was not tagged as a damaged item when Dry Cleaning, Etc. took it from me. He said he would give the shirt to the owner and see what he thought about replacing my shirt. I work as an intern at General Electric, and I would never wear a damaged shirt. I called a week later to follow up since the owner never called me as the employee had promised he would. I reached the owner directly when I called. He told me that they did not damage the shirt and would not be replacing it. I told him they should replace it because they destroyed it. He said they did not destroy it and accused me of submitting an already-damaged shirt to them for cleaning. I asked him if that was so, then why did no one tag this shirt as damaged when I submitted it to them? He asked me if I pointed it out the damage when I submitted the shirt. I explained to him that it is the employee’s responsibility to inspect items for the benefit of the company. It is not the customer’s job. I told him that I would collect the shirt from him and see him in court. He told me(the owner still) «I will be ready for you, BRINGITON.» and then hung-up on me as I was still talking. His only defense the entire time was that he had been doing this for 25 years and therefore«knew» what he was talking about. On top of his background being irrelevant to the entire argument and just an attempt to discredit me, he insinuated that I, an Honor student in college and an Eagle Scout, is an idiot has no way of knowing anything about ironing shirts(common sense). I have ironed my own shirts at home for years. I never burned one like this because I took caution and was careful, two things that this business clearly do not also engage in. That is MY background. I called a reputable dry cleaner and asked if it was standard procedure as a dry cleaner to inspect and tag items if they are damaged before processing. The girl laughed and said«of course». She said that’s the standard in the business and was amazed that I was asking such a basic question when it comes to the dry cleaning business. I then checked on Google and found very poor reviews for this business. Seems those«25 years» of experience have been 25 years of the same scam. These people are reckless and careless and you are a fool for ever doing business with them.
