Wonderful library! Love this place! On a busy hot beach day, there is no better respite than the Beach Library! Also, the café on the 3rd floor has the BEST cinnamon rolls(yeast dough, not biscuit dough like The Heavenly Biscuit) I’ve found in Fort Myers Beach.

We visited here on a rainy day and had fun exploring this beautiful library! The floor to ceiling mural on the entry walls is beautiful, as well as the walls of the 3 story glass elevator that you see as you go up and down. The walls of the library have all kinds of interesting posters and photos to look at also. There are many well done display cases of varied collections and interests. There is a great used book store that you can donate books to or get books from. Nearby inside is a coffee shop, and lots of places to sit and read of course! There is even a nice outside area off the 2nd floor to sit and read. The large floor display by the third floor elevator is nicely done too. Staffers were helpful and friendly.

I’m in love with this library! We are visiting for a month and were able to get a guest card for $ 10. My two year old has been asking to go back every day. Wonderful children’s area with toddler playroom, outdoor space, and even children’s restroom. Most of the adult stuff is on a separate floor, which keeps it a quiet area. Beautiful facility with a great selection. High tech checkout and returns. Friendly people. Ample shady parking. Great break from the sun.

Tremendous, beautiful library. Best-kept secrets about it: The third-floor café has some of the most delicious sandwiches of any eatery in town, and the prices are incredibly low; the Friends of the Library bookstore, adjacent to the café, is delightful. Nourish your brain and your tummy!

The(brand new!) Ft. Myers Beach library is stunning. There are 3 stories. On the 3rd floor, there is a coffee shop and a wifi café with bistro tables and a beautiful view. Every time I have been there, the bistro area has been packed. On the 3rd floor you will also find the Friends of the Library bookstore(gently used books, all proceeds benefit the library), and the community meeting room, which hosts classes on everything from foreign language to travel, history, and to how to use your iPad. Be sure to take a ride in the glass elevator. It rises through an elevator shaft painted to look like you are underwater. The children’s area is very cool, with bigger-than-life sand castles and seahorses, a toddler play area, and a huge tree where they do story time. The library has a great selection of books, audiobooks, DVDs, and music.
