Stunning view! This was a lovely hidden gem. The happy hours specials on food and drinks were great. It was so nice to spend the day on the beach and then have a relaxing lunch looking at the views. I would highly recommend this place. Also David, our server was superb.

Hidden gem. Understated and delightfully kitchy. Great breakfast special! Amazing view of the Gulf. Servers were attentive and quick. Drinks are reasonably priced and quite tasty. Fun place to visit! Fun outdoor seating. Felt bad for our server when someone got upset about the birds… when you are by the Gulf and outside, understand there will be birds.

Outstanding value… unlike Pinchers, this place is all reality and not marketing. We had Lobster flatbread as an appetizer… awesome with real chunks of lobster. Dinner was a wood fire calzone, awesome! I had the grilled shrimp… awesome! Lastly, was the lobster bisque… yes real lobster. The only weakness was the slow bar. Great view over looking the Gulf. Great job

Where do I begin? We chose this place because my 12 year old daughter has celiac and not many places on the beach offer gluten free meals. We’re not fancy people but when you advertise that you just hired a great chef from Chicago I would hope that the food is at least not raw. We went during happy hour to watch the sunset. The view is amazing but much better if you are at the casual restaurant outside rather than the«fancier» restaurant inside. The side salad and rolls were the only part of the meal that I actually enjoyed. The salad was very fresh and the rolls are nice and hot. My dinner on the other hand was totally gross! I tried the eggplant calzone and it was completely raw. My father had the grouper and he said it tasted like a sponge. My boyfriend had the ½ roasted chicken and it was burnt and dried out. My mother and daughter are the only two people that enjoyed their meals. My mother had the shrimp cocktail & eggplant rotolo and said it was good. The biggest surprise was that my daughter had the GLUTENFREE pasta with chicken and said it was delicious! They did take our meals off the bill and tried to make us happy. But who wants to order something else when you were so disappointed the first time? Overall I would say go for the view and cocktails, then leave and have dinner somewhere else. Good for gluten free/celiac, my daughter did not get sick eating here. That’s saying a lot because she usually gets sick every time we eat out. So they must have good food prep in place. I hope they improve the food because the view is so pretty.

Food decent, awful slow service despite well meaning waiter. Very loud over 50 crowd at bar, in no way a hip place. We had to ask to be moved despite a wide open dining room. When I made the reservation, I had made it clear we had two kids and despite that we were seated in incredibly loud bar with obnoxious elderly crowd. Only go if you can’t get a reservation anywhere else. Really wanted to like the place but couldn’t force it, really below average.

Our server was such a sweet older gentlemen very attentive and genuine. Him and the rolls were the best part of our dinner. We had L&V meatballs, manicotti with shrimp and chicken Parmesan. Meatballs were good. Chicken parm was average. Avoid the house salad it’s unimpressive.

Best happy hour!!! My husband and i were in search for a great happy hour and we found it. Everything is only five dollars! This includes a multitude of pizzas which are large enough for two! Ceviche and grilled tuna wontons. We enjoyed everything. The mixed drinks are only 5 dollars for a huge list of options. The best part was the view! This is a steal of a deal with a beautiful setting! We will be back!

Best hidden gem on Fort Myers Beach. Best view of the gulf(like eating on a cruise ship surrounded by water) best food and best service. Chef Jason has created an amazing culinary experience. Happy hour is the best on the beach. If you haven’t had happy hour yet here check it out! Best restaurant on fort Myers beach in my opinion. Eat here often and always enjoy it!

If you’re a happy hour kind of person, you should come here. It’s from 3pm to 6pm in the dining room, but last until 8pm at the bar. $ 5 food and drinks, you can’t really beat it. Great service, nice atmosphere. If you’re on FMB for at least a few days, make the time to come out and watch a sunset and have some cocktails.

Wow! From a local Bonita resident who never went to the Lani Kai, this place was an unexpected treat. We thought we would give it a try based on earlier reviews and the photos we saw. It didn’t disappoint. The panoramic views are beautiful. You can sit at the bar or almost any table and see the gulf; from Naples to Sanibel. The food was excellent. We tried about 5 different appetizers from oysters rockefeller to the calamari to the octopus. All were exceptional. The bartender was very attentive and the rest of the staff was upbeat and friendly. We are planning a dinner trip there again soon. Give this place a try and I am sure you’ll be glad you did.

6th or 7th time going back for the food — BEST Happy Hour on the beach — the new thin crust wood fired pizza is EXCELLENT! For happy hour we tried a variety of pizzas and also had an excellent shrimp appetizer and stuffer artichoke. We have tried many restaurants on Fort Myers Beach(hard to find a consistently good restaurant!) and IslandView always goes above and beyond. Thanks Chef Jason and everyone at Island View, we’re glad you’re here!

Would recommend to anybody in Fort Meyers for dinner! Me and my mom were looking for a place to eat at 10 and they were more than accommodating. Our waitress attended to all of our questions with no problem, and checked on us and served us when needed. The bread was the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, buttery rolls with asiago cheese in the middle and a melted butter with basil on the side, AMAZING! I had the crab claws, mashed potatoes, and the clam chowder. When they say crab class they mean JUSTTHECLAWS, but were still amazing. Wouldn’t recommend the mashed potatoes but would highly recommend the clam chowder soup. Mom got the seafood salad, very recommended but beware that there were some pieces of seafood we weren’t sure about(never seen such big calamari). Very accepting of families and any new comer, all welcome!

Amazing view, great food, bartender was very friendly & attentive. Don’t let the looks of the hotel stop you from dining here. I had the meatballs in marinara that were outstanding! My friend had the bacon wrapped shrimp atop guacamole, phenomenal! There was a good band playing as well. Will highly recommend this place & will def be back!

First of all the view is spectacular. You are literally on the top floor of a hotel overlooking the beach. It’s beautiful and while we were there, we saw a dolphin jumping in and out of the ocean. Plus, if you are here during happy hour when people are still on the beach, then it is great people watching! So let’s talk about their happy hour… Five dollar wines and five dollar martinis… Including the humongous and delicious five dollar Coronito(A hugemargarita with a full-size Corona in it). And the food on happy hour includes five dollar flatbread, five dollar calzone, and a five dollar eggplant Rolatini. The Rolatini was huge and really good. My husband says the calzone(which had meat in it) was delicious. Both were huge and those two items were sufficient to fill us up as a meal. We weren’t as big fans of the flatbread; we thought the toppings were good, but thought they were rather thick on the bottom(think way too much dough). As for the service, our waiter was great. He provided 5 star service, great recommendations and was very personable. The lady that greeted us, however(a younger asian woman) was just rude and unfriendly. If she wasn’t working there, this place would be 5 stars. Oh, and at first we had trouble finding this place. On the top floor of the Lani Kai are two restaurants… one is outside and is more low key. This one is inside and is a classier, fancier restaurant. Despite the rude hostess, we will be back.

Our waitress was in the weeds. It was off season, so I suppose they weren’t anticipating the crowd, but it is mdw, so they should have been better prepared for the crowd. The food was mediocre. The view is gorgeous(8pm sunset). Our favorite part of the meal was the rolls – they were awesome. Our waitress knew the service wasn’t that great due to the unanticipated crowd, so she threw in a free drink – I’ll take it, but likely won’t return as it wasn’t that great. Zushi-Zushi/House of Brews was way better the night before…

We actually just went to go to lani kai but it was really hot and wanted to sit inside, we happened upon island view a high end restaurant on top of lani kai. The elevator to get up to the restaurant was hot and disgusting bit the restaurant was nice with an amazing view. They have a large menu with an amazing happy hour. Seriously do not miss their happy hour! We had good friendly service and the food was very good! I would recommend!
