The dinner is always really good, along with the deserts. I am only giving this place 3 stars because last time we went, we were forced to share a table with other strangers. When I spent $ 60 a ticket, I think I should of been aware of the fact I would be sitting side my side with people I didn’t know. That was really annoying. Besides that, the shows are normally pretty good. I hate HATE when they have scenes where the girls sing and talk in annoying high pitched screeches.

I had no idea what to expect, but was really, really impressed! Went with a group from work and has such a lovely evening! First, check out their gift store at some point — it’s great! They have excellent, reasonably priced, unique items! The food was great, lots of variety, and really good tasting for a buffet. And fun desserts as well. The service is incredible, everyone is on their game, clearing plates, serving, checking on you, etc… And we saw Footloose, which was such a fun show! I thought I might try and leave after intermission since it was on a week night, but I couldn’t tear myself away! I think it’s a great event for families, groups, couples — anyone!

Very disappointed ! salad was good. Meat was tough! Musical was at best a high school play. Neither of the leads could sing and barely could dance. Don’t. Wast your money!

Performances are always great. We’ve been coming for years and years. In the past couple years we’ve noticed a decline in the quality of food service. Used to be great. Last two shows we’ve been to they close one of the two buffet lines down almost an hour before the dinner stops. Creates horrible lines. Cost savings I’m sure, but frustrating. And it’s hit or miss w the waitresses. Supposed to be free pop refills but this evening waitress only came back once. This place has had such a good run, I hope they don’t let the quality go. Anyway, the performances are fantastic.

Shows on Christmas Day too! They have two theaters and have grown through the years. Thankful to have this nearby. Acting, singing, music was all excellent as usual. Good choices for food even as a Vegetarian. If you choose not to eat, you are seated in the back and can order drinks. Chairs have cushions but flip back easily and hurt my back after a while. Service was excellent. The décor could use some updating but most people here don’t care, if they could see… they lived even before the 60s so I guess it’s fine with them. If you want to feel young again, come and mingle with this senior crowd, probably mean age is 75? Very polite but slow moving, expect restrooms to be full, big travel buses in front. Love the free parking, reasonable prices for shows. Could use some snacks, popcorn, other drinks during intermission. A nice perk is few screaming children but I guess it depends on the show you select.

I have seen 2 performances at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater. I chose to just attend the shows and not partake in the dinner. The first show was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and yesterday afternoon I saw Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story. Both shows were excellent. The music and performances were excellent. If you want to see the show without a meal, there is theater seating in the back of the auditorium. My recommendation is to get seats in the first row, because the ladies sitting behind us couldn’t see over our heads. That being said, there were several open seats next to us and a few unoccupied tables, so they were able to move and see a great show. The bar was open for the first show we attended with a great and generous bartender, who earned her tip. The afternoon show did not have an open bar but a waiter came by to take our drink orders. The drinks were good and the seats were very comfortable. There is a gift shop available which had some cute items. The restrooms are plentiful, as well, with little waiting during intermission. The location was very clean. All of the employees and wait staff were very, very friendly. Also, some of the artists came out to the lobby after the show to meet the audience. The performers were very friendly, as well. I’m looking forward to seeing more shows there. West Side Story and Footloose are coming up. Can’t wait to see them and maybe try the meal, next time.

Went to see, «Those Were the Days,» this week(9⁄21) and was majorly disappointed. There’s nothing worse than having great songs get so butchered and sound so horrible. In addition, the screenplay was something that must’ve come out of one of the local High School’s summer school programs: Segments from one generation to the next came from cardboard signs lowered from the ceiling. Also, the cheesy slapstick comedy during the songs was so bad, it made me want to leave during intermission. I reluctantly stayed to see the Ed Sullivan, Elvis, and 60’s tributes and sorry now that I stayed. Don’t waste your time or money on this show.

My wife and I have had season’s tickets here for the past 7 years so I feel fairly qualified to comment on all aspects of this place. First the good — the service is usually competent and friendly. Since the«redo» there has been significant turnover in waitstaff with a slight downturn in service, but still mostly well done. The dining area is always clean — our table is 2nd row center — and there is plenty of elbow room, but it appears tight at some of the other tables further from the stage. The shows are hit or miss with some better than others, but I’ve always been at least entertained if not delighted. Now for the food — it’s tired. The salad bar never changes except for the final prepared salad in the line which usually has some kind of cold meat in it, either slivered pork, chicken or ham. It doesn’t matter because with the heavy dressing it is rendered tasteless anyway. To its credit, though, the salad bar’s offerings always appear and taste fresh, never old. The serving staff is always on top of the salad contents as well. The entrée line usually has a standard fish, pork or beef, and some form of chicken. All the fish dishes taste the same unless they have been fried, which is seldom. The chicken and pork dishes can be differentiated only by texture as they taste exactly alike. The beef is always over done, which is the good news. Too often the beef is the processed, canned tasting type which leaves a lousy aftertaste and really has neither the taste nor consistency of real beef. Occasionally they serve real sliced beef, but, alas, it’s done to the consistency of shoe leather. Toothpicks should be on every table. The grand finale of the entrée line is the carving station which usually features pork, ham, turkey, or once in a great while roast beef. The carver usually needs to be asked several times to place more of the precious real meat on your plate. It makes one wonder if the manager told the carver he could take the leftovers home. Starches include a tasteless pasta with an equally bland sauce offering, and an equally nondescript serving of potato. The vegetables are cooked until limp and grey, if they were originally green; just limp and mushy if they were a different color to start. Crisp is not in this buffet’s description. The desserts are decent, mostly. They are usually done well, but cheap bakery sweet, like they are trying hard to hide some flaw in the taste. Same with the pies — very cheap bakery tasting with very canned tasting fillings. The macaroons are, however, out of this world with good coconuty flavor. The ice cream is, well, ice cream — you can’t mess that up. Broadway Palm is a good night’s entertainment, especially if you are visiting from out of town or go there only once or twice a year. It gets really stale with its repetitiveness if one goes more often.

We came here to see my niece, Sophia, in Music Man. The show was a lot of fun and the food wasn’t bad either. I especially enjoyed the pecan pie. Since it was a Thursday afternoon, we had to get over being the only non-septuagenarians in the theater, but other than that we had a good time!

On a recent trip to south Florida I attended two different shows at the Broadway Palm. It is very accessible for people who use wheel chairs or walkers. The first time we went we had the seats in the far back that do not have tables. And we sat for dinner in a small room off the bar, the private room was kind of fun because the buffet was close and we could all sit together. Sitting in the seats in the way back with no tables, was ok for people in the front row. the second row was really tight apparently for people with longish legs. The second time we sat in the second row at a 4 person table, and had such a marvelous time. If you drink anything other than tea or water, you have to pay for it, which is fine I just wish they told you that. We got a bill at intermission and it was just kind of awkward for a $ 2 drink. The food is pretty good for a buffet, they had a nice selection and a great dessert bar and ice cream station. An older crowd, but it was fun none the less. Also the two shows we saw were really well done.

I have been to the Broadway Palm on at least 4 occasions over the past 15 years and I have never been disappointed. This is the perfect venue for a night on the town with someone special or for a family. The buffet dinner is served beginning at 5:30pm and the food is outstanding. You’ll find a salad bar with typical offerings, however I always hold out for their home-made soup(the cream of spinach is velvety smooth and rich), and their wonderful chef’s entrees, which include a marvelous baked chicken, fried catfish, roast beef and pork; all good. Several starches, casseroles and vegetable side dishes are also offered, including this incredible zucchini casserole. The dessert table is where they really shine: a huge assortment of cakes including chocolate, german chocolate and carrot; cherry pie, apple cobbler, peanut butter pie(5 stars!), coconut macaroons, and an ice cream bar with all the toppings. Service is excellent, as well. Servers are friendly and very attentive. There is a suggested $ 3.00 gratuity per person. Décor is very pleasant and you will likely be seated at a table alongside people with whom you will quickly make friends. The entertainment is Broadway quality. They frequently showcase revivals of classic Broadway musicals and I would rate the singing, dancing, acting, costumes, set design and staging 4 out of 5 stars. Many of the performers have extensive theatre backgrounds and I am always impressed at the extent of their talent. Every seat in the house allows for a good view of the show. This is one of my favorite places to go when I visit Fort Myers. I guarantee you will want to return to this place again and again.

This place can provide a very pleasant evening for dining & entertainment. It has been in business for years & years, and even for cyber-dead Fort Myers I’m surprised that this is the first review. We had never been here before, so we were quite happy to go with some friends and see a show. It was a full house with every table fully occupied. The show started at 7:30, but the idea is to get there when they open at 5:30, have a drink, and then hit the buffet for dinner. The quality of the buffet was okay and ample, but not exactly outstanding. The show itself was really quite entertaining with a few excellent actors and singers. Overall, it was a delightful evening.
