DONOTORDERFROMTHISCOMPANY!!! I am only giving it one star because I have to give it some kind of star rating. UGH!!! I placed an order for a couple of swords and accessories last May 2012 and did not hear anything. I inquired about it in June. Still nothing. I didn’t hear anything regarding the order until OCTOBER notifying me that the order had been on backorder. Then when I spoke with Darlene stating that I wanted a refund for one of the items she stated that she needed a supervisor to assist because she had never done a refund like that before, since the order was so old. I asked her to process it and send me an e-mail confirmation. One week later, no e-mail. I called and spoke with the manager and she kept asking me for clarification on what I wanted to do. I was more than clear. After asking me four times she finally processed it and I later got the rest of my order. However, when I did get the one sword, it looked very cheap! I ordered a different sword from KENNESAWCUTLERY for about half the price, got much better service, much faster delivery and the quality of the product is a thousand times better!!! I am going to return the sword I bought from By The Sword. Also of note, when you call, they do not answer the phone in a business/professional manner(they just say hello this is(name) — as opposed to «thank you for calling By The Sword»), and when looking at their return policies, it seems like they will only accept a return if they feel like it. Very shady. They really should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I don’t know how they stay in business.
