Captain Bob’s Excellent Adventure

My husband and I were visiting Fort Myers for our wedding anniversary and were looking for an excursion to do in the Everglades. We ran across Bobs Adventure and booked the whole day trip. It definitely was a long day, especially in the heat– however, we really had a great time! Our guide picked us up at 7:40 AM and we returned to our car at 5:30 PM. In this amount of time, we not only took an airboat ride through the Everglades swamp where we saw multiple alligators, birds, and a huge lotus field, but we also hopped on a catamaran where we were able to see more exotic birds, bottle nosed Dolphins, and a Florida manatee with her baby. It was incredible! The Dolphins swam up to our boat and even jumped out of the water several times, as if they were saying hi and wanted to entertain us. The day was full of firsts for us. I would suggest bringing sunblock and eating breakfast first. We also took a nature walk that was roughly a mile long. We didn’t particularly enjoy the walk, just because it was so hot and we were getting hungry for lunch at that time. Others really seemed to enjoy the walk, so it’s just one of those preferential things! Lunch was provided for us with the package, and it was just OK. Our guide was super informative and everyone we met was pleasant and knowledgeable. We definitely learned a lot. Every place you go has signs where the guides are requesting tips from you, so I would suggest bringing some spare change… Overall, we give this all-​day expedition four stars!
