Came here to eat a quick lunch, very small hidden place, definately need to use GPS to locate this place, since I only had 30 minutes for lunch, decided to play it safe and ordered Veggie quesadillas. Four pieces, bell peppers, zucchini too aliente, maybe just little more sautéing with olive oil or butter, would have made this better, tortilla had good taste, cheese was just regular melted Colby jack, very basic nothing out of this world. Sorry but the Salsa and Pico provided, we’re extremely bland and zero heat, the Pico was chopped tomato with bell pepper? And the salsa was tomato sauce with a hint of cilantro and could not detect any pepper. Really disappointing. If you want to call it Mexican, you need to provide a good salsa, this is the most important part of Mexican cuisine. the place does have some really great looking deserts but did not have chance to try.

Really great Mexican food in a weird corner of Gateway. Nothing fancy but it’s Mexican so who cares

Great little spot near the airport! We stopped here as we headed out of town– great fresh salsas! We had the nachos, gringas tacos and a wet burrito, all were fantastic! We will make this a new pre-airport meal when we come into town! Service was outstanding as well!

Casa Lupita may be the best Mexican food in all of Fort Myers. The thing that hurts it most is its location. It is in Gateway, in an industrial park, very close to JetBlue Park. I’m sure the fact that it is so out of the way is why so many people don’t even know that it exist. It is a family run restaurant with good food, cute atmosphere, and a wonderful and pleasant staff. The prices are average and the food is plentiful. If you are in the area I strongly suggest you give it a try. If you want good Mexican food, I highly suggest you take the drive. Non chain family run establishments are a rare commodity here in SW Florida. This is a place that deserves our support. Enjoy!

Are here for the first time tonight thanks to Unilocal.Never would have known it existed otherwise. So glad we found it! It’s a typical Mom & Pop Mexican place. Small dining area in front with large dining room in the back.(On Fridays they have live music). They have a small bar that serves beer, wine and margaritas. We were greeted promptly by a super friendly, attentive waitress who was very knowledgable of the menu. She took our orders and brought out our drinks, chips and dinners in perfect time. The chips and salsa were fabulous. Half corn chips and half awesome homemade flour tortillas, with mild salsa and medium green salsa. Both homemade and very good. My husband orders an Enchilada trio which he raved about. 3 different sauces: Red, Green and Mole. He was entranced! I had the steak fajitas and they were terrific. The thick homemade tortillas made everything taste better. Steak was nice, onions were well seasoned, and extras were just right(pico, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, beans and rice. We were too full to partake in desserts, but they had quite a selection of treats that looked like they could give Norman Love(who’s just down the street) a run for his money. The looked divine and we will definitely leave tummy room next time or maybe stop after a movie some night. If you are a fan of Mexican, I totally recommend this place. A little tough to find, but once you go there, I bet your car drives there all by itself after your first visit. It’s really that good. Despite what other Unilocalers say, I wouldn’t place it near the airport as that makes it seem like it would be south of where it is. It’s actually awkwardly placed in a business park that’s within walking distance of the Red Sox Stadium(east of the stadium). You cannot see it from Daniels. It’s not hard to get to, it’s just that because it doesn’t face Daniels, it kind of hides. But seek it out, it’s worth it!!! SECONDVISIT: We went for our 2nd visit this past Friday night. And it was just as good. Again, service was great. My husband ordered Racheras Enchiladas(it’s almost orange, like a creamier red) and I ordered 3 Tacos Lupita. We exchanged a taco for an enchilada with each other so we could try each item. We loved both very much! The Guacamole was fantastic!!! We will be regulars!

Amazing. This is the best Mexican good k have had. I had the taco trio and the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was chunky and obviously fresh made. The location is a little hidden and strange, but don’t be scared away. The staff was extremely friendly as well.

Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants in Ft Myers. This is a totally different Casa Lupita than the one that was on 4115 years ago that is now Famous Daves– they are not the same place. The food is very fresh and tasty at very reasonable prices. Happy hour beer prices– $ 2.49 for a 16 ounce domestic beer in a frosted mug until 7pm– pretty good. It is rather hard to find– one block east of jet blue stadium behind a building– it is not visible from Daniels but definitely worth the hunt. The carnitas were excellent– moist and well seasoned. The corn tortillas were thick, warm and soft– so good! The only reason for not giving a five star rating is that you only get one basket of chips with an entrée per table– you have to pay for a refill. And the salsa that comes with the chips is both red and green but very watery. Great place I will be back!

Honestly, it’s the best Mexican food I ever ate… in an office park. Yep, not far from Southwest Florida International Airport, there’s a relatively non-descript office park, and smack dab in the middle is… a Mexican restaurant serving up surprisingly great food! I had the Taco Combination Platter. One ground beef, one chicken, and one pork taco, with salsa, rice, and beans on the side. It was fresh and flavorful. Just the right portion for a satisfying lunch. My dad, a very picky eater, ordered a wet burrito with ground beef. He really enjoyed it, and he’s not easy to please. Wine and beer are available, but I had a horchata, which was good. The front half of the restaurant is quaint, but there is a larger dining room in the back, which we noticed as we were leaving. Good service. Great food. Definitely worth looking for. You’ll be rewarded once you’ve found it!

I’ve been to Casa Lupita a few times and they’ve been pretty good. The restaurant itself is tucked away in an awkward location where one would expect to find offices. They have outdoor seating, but without a frozen margarita, it’d be way too hot for any of that. They’ve got your typical Mexican restaurant décor and atmosphere with a good amount of drink options. The menu is not too big, but has a little bit of everything. Common things we order are the Lupita tacos a la carte, which are quick, simple, and relatively cheap for good quality tacos. The last time I went I got the wet burrito with white sauce. While not really appetizing, a fat chunky burrito smothered in goopy white sauce, it was actually pretty tasty. The carnitas I got in the burrito were not dry, and a little bit of lettuce and tomatoes on the side helped cut through the heavy and thick burrito. I was actually impressed with the mild salsa they have, as it looked and tasted very fresh; can’t be from a can. Other good things to order are the taco salad and tostadas. While they are not out of this world amazing, nothing has really ever been wrong with the food. On the contrary, they have been pretty consistent with normal attentive and friendly service. Normally they would get just 3 stars, but I feel like the food is just good enough to push them over to a flat 4; not having any major complaints about the service helps, although last time we were charged an extra dollar even though we ordered off the daily special, meh. There is room for improvement, but for now, Casa Lupita is on the right track to becoming a quality Mexican restaurant. I’ll probably be back next time I’m in the Ft Meyers area and would recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood for Mexican.

Very good food & service! We’ve been here for lunch and dinner. We love Mexican food and heard we wouldn’t find good Mexican in Ft Myers but Casa Lupita proved that statement wrong. Everything we’ve tried here is amazing even the chili relleno which is always our test of good Mexican.

This is such a convenient location in relation to my work. I love coming here to treat myself for lunch. The food is always fresh and they have great lunch specials! Service can be slow at times if it’s busy and they only have one waiter working. They have an extensive menu, there’s something for even the pickiest of eaters! I recommend asking for the tomatillo salsa for your tacos.

Everything has MSG(monosodium glutamate) in it — the soups, the guacamole, all of the meats and the sauces. The salsas didn’t. I was not impressed because Mexican cuisine has so many excellent flavors. A good restaurant shouldn’t have to rely on MSG as a flavor enhancer or meat tenderizer — it should rely on good cooking and good recipes. So we won’t be back. Also, we ordered«mild» and it still was tongue burning! The service was good which earned it the second star.

Let me begin by emphasizing that the food and service were excellent. This is authentic Mexican food with a little gourmet flare. We ordered the 3 tacos and wet burrito and red hot enchiladas. The major mistake we made was asking for«spicy.» Often we ask for spicy and there’s barely any heat. This red-hot food was the real deal. We had burned tongues but it was our fault as the waitress tried to warn us! I guess some patrons won’t like the décor. It wasn’t as cozy as it night have been but that’s never an issue for me as the food is the focus of my interest. Definitely try this but stick to the ‘medium’ spice!

Great food low prices good drinks. What more needs to be said ? Location somewhat out of the way on the back side of the airport. Only locals go here the two times I was here. We will definitely be back here again when in the area

This is by far, the best Mexican restaurant that I have found in Florida. It is an authentic family owned business. If you have never been there before, it can be a little hard to find. It is located in an industrial park off of Daniels Parkway. First off, you get complementary chips with 2 types of salsa. We also love their fresh made guacamole. The salsa and guacamole are great, but make sure you leave room for your meal! The chicken tortilla soup is homemade and wonderful. Big pieces of chicken in it. My son and I usually go for the Wet Burritos. I prefer chicken in the white sauce. My son prefers beef in a red sauce. Both are huge and outstanding flavor. See pictures below. Finally, if you have room, they have a great Tres Leche cake!

3 ½ STARS We’ve been wanting to try this place in nearby Gateway for some time. It’s a bit difficult to fine, but worth seeking out, I think. The complementary salsa(2 types) & chips were very nice. For lunch we had the Three Taco Special($ 5.50) and the Pollo ala Mexicana($ 9.99), all washed down with a draft Pacifico. Everything was plentiful and tasty, as is usually the case with Mexican food. Extra to take home. This has the distinct feel of a true«mom & pop,» which is wonderful to have in this time of so many chains in the Fort Myers area. Location — 4STARS(a bit tricky to find) Service — 4STARS Food — 3 ½ STARS Value — 4STARS Ambiance/Décor — 3 ½ STARS
