Part II — I conveniently made contact with Destination Water Sports the day after Living Social Contacted them and was able to schedule a time for Sunday, 8⁄25 at 10:30a through the owner, Dave. He also claimed to have tried to contact me many times and somehow made me feel bad for contacting Living Social to complain. Anyway, he wasn’t going to be there, but gave me the name/number of another employee who would be and told me to call, but not right away, to confirm — which I did the next day. Jump to this morning, excited to go kayaking finally. We arrive at the location listed on the Living Social Voucher — 17240 Harbour Pointe Drive, Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa, Fort Myers, FL33908 and make our way to the marina. Once we say the word«Living Social» the guys manning the kayak rental immediately tell us we are at least the 10th people who’ve come to this location incorrectly. Apparently the Destination Water Sports folks were asked to leave that location some time ago and had neglected to tell anyone(you’ll notice their website has no location listed and their Facebook page still has the incorrect address at the Marriott ). I called the number that was given to me and they were so surprised I was at the wrong location, though during my two previous calls, no one offered to give me directions, asked if I knew where I was going, etc… and told me I was still about 20 minutes away and was now late. That was enough and I never went to the new location, but stayed at the Marriott and rented kayaks for full-price from the nice guys there. Needless to say, I won’t be doing business with this company any longer and would like a refund. I understand it’s only $ 8, but I’ve fought to get a reservation for three weeks, spent my time going to the wrong location, and overall feel that they’ve presented terrible customer service and have taken no responsibility for anything.
