The service is touch and go. You can sit at the bar and be ignored. Chef Jay is awesome. Make a Plan B because they close the restaurant at their discretion.

Time to update my review. My wife and I have dined here many times and thanks to the new chef, Chef Jay, the quality has vastly improved. It is now a pleasure to dine here. The chef conducted a cooking class on Mediterranean Foods in June, 2015 and it was excellent. A detailed handout described everything, and he prepared and provided the attendees with the following: 1) a tapas of Simmered Summer Vegetables, Spareribs coated with Paprika Sauce, Crab Tartlets, & a Bleu Cheese & Bean Salad; 2) a Greek Salad; and 3) Meyer Lemon Semifreddo with Summer Berries. Simply wonderful.

Had dinner here last night with my husband! The food is outstanding! Chef Jay prepares all meals from scratch. Reminded me of the old TV show, Cheers, where«Everybody knows your name» as this restaurant is located in the community of Pelican Preserve, but is open to public. For $ 63(excluding tip), we had French Onion Soup, Cream of Asparagus soup, Phillie Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Prime Rib Dinner, Beef Tips with Asparagus Dinner, one Crème Brulee and three alcoholic drinks. This is truly one of the best meals I’ve had in a LONG time! Highly recommend!

Service is not satisfactory. House wines are overpriced at $ 10 per glass. I had a scallop dish with only 3 scallops, some rice and a few mixed veggies. It tasted good, but better value can be found elsewhere. While the food is OK, the slow service and undersized portions do not commend a higher rating.

Located in the gated, upscale community of Pelican Preserve, Destinations is a cozy bar and restaurant offering well prepared meals from Wednesday through Sunday brunch. It is open to the public but you have to check in at the front gate when you enter Pelican Preserve. On our first experience here we tried the spicy grouper special. Two large portions of delicately fried fish with a distinct spicy finish were delicious and served with«just right» french fries. The only thing missing was the coleslaw. Destinations never seems to be busy except on Wild Wednesdays(5 – 7) when the bar fills up for drink and appetizer specials. Our next experience will be the Sunday brunch.
