I came to elephant bar for dinner with my family last night and had a great experience. The service was great and the food was amazing. I will defiantly come back more often!

Fun establishment. Food is actually really good although I’ve read some disappointing reviews. I went with a coworker and we ordered food in the lines of an asian faire. You get enough for the price. Also take advantage of their Happy Hour. Drink specials yum! I went to the bar on another visit, ordered some good food and a drink. Bar tender was great. Someone ordered a drink and changed their mind but it was too late. Drink was made. She offered it to me no charge as not to waste it. I left a great tip because the service was really good. Many times when going out solo I’ve experience bad service but I know how to tip and if I’m not treated properly, it will reflect. Lesson for all servers, never underestimate a solo patron. You never know who it might be. We could tip better than a party of 2 or 3 people. WTG to the expectant bartender lady. She’s a keeper and I hope by now she’s had the baby. :) Make sure she stays.

The atmosphere and décor were excellent, but our food left room for improvement. My husband had sauté chicken Marsala and it was bland. I on the other hand had Mongolian Beef, the flavor was tops, but the meat was somewhat tough. I do not plan in returning, since there are so many great Resturants in the area, why settle for mediocre.

My friends and I saw the resturant elephant bar & grill & we looked at reviews on Unilocal They were not very enticing but we decided to try it anyway Wow wow it was great!!! From service to food my friends and I give it 5 stars it was really really good and by the way we eat out a lot in Miami & Fort Lauderdale We can’t wait to come back here

The best you can do at the mall. Not super amazing, but way better than the food court. Korean beef tacos were good and had fresh accompanying fare. Caesar salad average and soaked in dressing(get it on the side if you aren’t a fan of a ton of dressing). Service and atmosphere just fine — feels like a slightly upscale TGI Fridays.

Not desirable. Our server botched my order and didn’t offer to correct it when I pointed it out. My salmon was pretty good, but the mixed veggies that came with it were way over cooked and bland. The rice was cold and dry. I’ll not return and you shouldn’t either.

While on vacation in Fort Myers my wife and I decided to drop in to Elephant Bar for a lunch. It’s a nice looking little place located in a shopping mall. The place is much fancier than we thought, but we decided to stay. I ordered the Jambalya. Our servers got confused at first as to whom was handling us. The waiter that we had continually forgot to service us until someone else had done it. Other servers kept bringing food to our table which wasn’t ours. The service appeared to be in upheival. The food was pretty decent. I can’t say that it was bad. It was not wonderful. My wife was pretty unhappy with hers. For the price, it was pretty much a letdown. We wouldn’t go back.

Your greeter today for lunch had the personality of a door. But, who cares when you’re hungry right? I always come sit at the bar and forego the wait at the door. Our server/bartender was excellent. Since this place is a chain, you’d expect the food to be mediocre. But, the wok fried dishes are excellent, and the tomato basil soup is stellar. When you sit in the dining room this place is a three star restaurant, the service is pretty bad. I tried it a few times before becoming a bar fly here. The bar is beautiful anyways!

My order of the chicken marsala was very good, classic preparation. The garlic mashed potatoes that come with it were also very good. Nice size dish(good for leftovers). I also ordered the calamari and that was not great. The dish was all clam strips and very limp. No curled up squid like most restaurants. Not crisp at all. Also, there are Chinese noodles under the small bowl that make the serving look larger than it actually is. Not worth the money at all. Service was just average although it was not crowded. I don’t anticipate going back.

We like this place a lot and usually visit at leas once whenever we are in the area. Great sweet potato fries especially when you get them when they have long ones… sometimes we get a bowl of short little pieces… always good but not the same. Specials are always a great value and we love the coupons and deals we get in our email. Service is usually excellent, but never worse than good. They will cater to special requests if you ask… and always do their best to meet some special dietary restrictions. Overall better than the average upscale chain restaurant.

I order the jambalaya it came out very cold and the shrimp were over cooked i complained and the waiter just said he will replace it. however my friends salmon sushi was pretty good well flavored and nicely prepared i should of got what she ordered. dessert was so so although I wasn’t too hungry by the time it got to the table atmosphere is nice right next to the mall. I wouldn’t really rave about this place to anyone. It’s okay if your Hungry.

Starving after a day on the golf course. We had planned to eat at another restaurant down the street but there was a 30 minute wait. I had the surf and turf which fulfilled my dinning needs. Service adequate, setting and ambience nothing to write about. After all is done, I should have made a reservation at another dinning restaurant.

ANOTHERAVERAGECHAINRESTAURANT We stopped in here for lunch while visiting the Edison Mall. We continue to occasionally brave this mall although a murder occurred in the parking lot here a few months ago. We each had the jambalaya and found it to be edible, but extremely average. There was no spark or pizazz. It was bland with almost no heat and the sausage was in miniscule cubes, barely discernible to the eye and certainly not to the palate. The shrimp(farm raised in Asia) was odd; some were quite good, while others were firm & mealy and not at all appetizing. Location — 4STARS Service — 3STARS Food — 2 ½ STARS Value — 3STARS Ambiance/Décor — 4STARS Noise Level — 2STARS(loud)

You normally get very good food and service at all their locations. This one, well the food was great, atmosphere very good… service? The service was really really slow. We sat in the bar area and after 15 minutes a cook came out to take out order. I think they had a new employee by herself. We will be back, a 4 star place with a 3 star night.

I’ve been here so much in the last few years I’ve had almost everything on the menu. I cut back my visits about a year ago when I had a really bad experience where a waiter actually tried to argue with me about the American civil war — he was just a straight up weirdo who was kind of looking For a fight I think and when I went back a week later he came over to my table and was like, «oh do I know you from somewhere?» yeah total creep out. Anyway, the Elephant Bar was my hot spot in 09 but has increasingly gotten worse since then. I’ll be honest I’ve never had great service there, I think they just hire people who’ve never served before. But for the sake of a creative menu I’be always gone back. I haven’t been there for about 6 months since I moved, but I was back in town and begged my family & friends to go there for lunch with me. To my surprise it has gotten way worse. I ordered one of my favs — citrus salad with grilled chicken. It was clearly old, the apple slices and lettuce leaves were brown for gods sake! Others with me got the soup sandwich combo which wasn’t much better either for $ 9 the cup of soup was ¼ filled and the sandwich and fries wouldn’t fill up a small child’s belly. The waitress brought sweet tea instead of regular and instead of apologizing and changing it she just blamed someone in the back switching the tags on the tea — are you serious? The whole meal was a joke and I felt stupid for dragging everyone enthusiastically there. Over all for a $ 40 lunch I was left very disappointed and probably won’t go back now. Things that elephant bar does right is the happy hour specials and menus. Great snack and drink options the bet part being you deal with the bartender and not the the ridiculous wait staff.

Just don’t order the Black velvet cupcake. We have had 3 attempts and every one, at separate occasions, were stale. Also, lacking in frosting(which is important to this gluten free reviewer). Other than that, great variety in menu, the deals in the bar only during happy hour are amazing. Not just for drinks but food. Not the cheapest place to eat but worth a try especially with a large family or group. Plenty of room from cozy booths to big open tables. Our latest visit was finally a pleaser. Still believe the one in Orlando is better in the kitchen and all the way around.

A menu this size has no room for quality. Every page is a mockery of the culture its food is meant to come from. Sushi? Only after a little cooking please! Chinese? Obviously nothing but fried chicken and corn syrup. If you’ve ever been curious about exotic food, but feared stepping outside of an Apple Bee’s state of mind, perhaps this is the proper choice. Expect salt, butter, and fried goods. Everything to make the rest of the world a little more comfortable for American audiences to swallow. Location next to the mall is convenient, but results in large crowds(tired, anxious children seem to be a common guest as well.) If you’re super hungry after a day of shopping, I’d still recommend passing, you can find plenty of decent selections along 41. India Palace isn’t too far! The actual dining area is pleasant, though. Nicely lit with a unique(very Cheesecake Factory-like décor.)
