Omni is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. My mom is a member and I get to be a guest(on the houuuse) every time I come down. No questions asked. If you live in or around Fort Myers, don’t fall into the trap that is LA Fitness. Omni is where you want to go. Pros: — Massive facility with a layout that actually makes sense. No longer are the days where you need to walk through rows of machines to get from one to another — the circular track allows you to see everything so you can find what you want before you walk all over people to look for the biceps machine. — There is a lot, lot lot lot of cardio. And none of it is broken. None of it clicks. It is clean. I don’t have to test it to make sure it actually turns on. — Separate areas for specialized personal training, separate rooms for abs, spinning, and other classes. They even hold a class outside where you run and flip tires and try not to puke. — Nice locker rooms. I will assume the ladies room is just as nice as the men’s — which has large wooden lockers, showers with actual glass doors, and a whole room dedicated to leather couches and a huge TV. — Juice bar with lots of good post-workout smoothies. — TRAINING. These trainers actually know what they are doing and really care about their jobs. They are well versed in kicking your ass and are very well paid for doing so. I recommend Big James — just do half an hour with him and make your goal not to puke. I’m very much not kidding — I did 30 minutes of legs in September with him, the day before I left to drive from Fort Myers to New Orleans to Atlanta to NYC and back to CT. I hurt for 8 days. For the middle 4 I could barely walk — much less get out of my car at rest stops /gas stations /food places /destinations. Oh, you know how the best way to alleviate the pain is to work the muscle more? Stretch a little? Yeah, kinda hard to do when you’re driving 750 miles a day. Sooo, go to Big James, get your ass kicked, and do not spend the next 3 days driving 10⁄12 hours a day and you should heal much faster than I did. Cons: — This place is a vortex for cellphone service; my emails and texts all come in one mass blob of noises when I walk out the front door. Normally not an issue for most, but I usually like to stream Netflix when I am doing cardio, and I can’t do that here. Not to worry — there are a lot of TVs hanging around and much of the cardio has its own personal TV anyways. — No pool. No hot tub. — Pricey — there are cheap plans(prepaid 1yr for less than $ 40 on a special) but if you sign up for the works(membership, all the classes, personal training) it can run you over $ 150/month, which is a lot for FL standards. Great gym. Join now. Sweat a lot.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 New York, NY
This fitness center has everything from a women’s only portion to a room devoted entire to your abs. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that it is pretty expensive and canceling your membership is a pain in the butt. While I lived in Fort Myers this was my gym and I loved it for the most part. But when I moved away it was such a hassle to cancel the membership that it almost made me forget the good things about the club. Its huge, has wonderful locker rooms(complete with a steam room, sauna, gorgeous showers and a lounge), great classes, lots of cardio eqiupment, free weights and machines. There is a room for yoga, pilates, core room, bootcamp room, personal training, and more. This gym truly has everything, but you definitely pay for it.
