I am surprised to see the two 5 star reviews. The boat was nice and I thought the amenities were clean. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but the staff here was so rude for no good reason(except for the really nice young lady at the checkout counter who I think agreed that they were being dicks). They weren’t busy? We spent a bunch of money there? We were back on time? It got started when I was getting the ice another employee said he would get me before he disappeared and an employee said, «you have to pay for that you know» in an accusatory tone. No shit? We returned the boat in good condition other than a coating of saltwater which I assume occurs on every trip. Yes, my brother snuck in a few casts against management’s orders on our way in but he is literally a professional fisherman and is not the type to snag the boat by mistake. Aside from it being ridiculous to ban fishing on a boat, we signed a multi page document that would require for us to pay for any damage and placed a deposit. And, they seemed very eager to enforce such a policy. The person who checked us out commented on the condition of the prop and that as long as it has three blades when we get back we will be fine because it was being replaced. When we returned and the prop was checked, the manager or owner was so eager to charge us for something the other employee had to stick up for us and vouch that it was the prop that had already been damaged and it was like that when we went out. So, he began to look for other things to complain about. As we were inside paying for our $ 300 boat, $ 75 of $ 4.50/gal fuel, and a $ 15 scoop of ice, he came charging back in out of breath with with anticipation to bitch about something else. «There is bait shrimp and fish blood all over that boat!» Knowing that no fish were caught, my brother asked for him to show him what he was referring to. He went over to the boat and pointed at a small red smudge of shrimp cocktail on the fiberglass decking and 1 shrimp tail that must have blown out of our garbage bag. That was our lunch and it was far from«all over.» Yes, we are tourists… but we also help pay your bills. Treat us well so we spend more money and more importantly… consider Port Sanibel Marina for next years boat rental.

Tucked back in the mangroves this harbor is nice even on a windy day, making it easy to navigate the waters around the docks. Fueling is a breeze! Just pull up and the tender will help you out. Walk the receipt down to the ship store to pay and you are on your way. There are a few open docks available for tie ups to eat at the restaurant. Very friendly staff and anxious to help at every request. It takes about 15 minutes to navigate the channel at min wake/no wake with lots of wildlife along the way. Fuel prices were reasonable. They have Diesel and Ethanol-free fuel.

My husband and I rented a canoe and had a nice time. We didn’t see any manatee but we saw a dolphin, birds, and fish. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back in the future.
