We were lured in by old movies playing on a projector on the wall and greeted with brick walls, dim lighting and an awesome floor to ceiling bar with a ladder. Our bartenders were dressed to fit the décor and made skillful drinks. Good selection of bourbons and a thorough cocktail list. About $ 10 each. A great lounge bar made unique by the atmosphere.

Love, LOVE, this bar. It’s swanky and it has a speakeasy vibe without being dark and dingy. There was a pianist playing jams from the 30’s(and more) along with some cool old flics. Not to mention, Becca was our bartender and she was spectacular. She truly made us feel welcome and she made this experience a fantastic one. Thank you for this brilliant addition to Fort Myers. I’ll most certainly be back!

First and foremost, my favorite review is short and to the point. So here goes! BECCA; fabulous bartender! The atmosphere was perfect and her and the other mixologist made settling in easy. There was a gentleman playing the piano(he was so fricken cute I could squeeze him). The drinks were fresh and suitable to the atmosphere. It wasn’t easy to find but hey… It’s a speakeasy! Folks, don’t miss out on this gem! Great place to escape back in time for a little bit

Décor was ok. They exclusively played music and movies from the 20’s all night. Drink selection /menu was limited. Staff was less than friendly. At least it was clean.

Very cute bar in the middle of downtown. The décor is what sells the place. It is modeled after a 20s speakeasy and has some great old movies playing on their giant projector. There is a large selection of alcohol and has one of those old ladders propped up to get the top shelf quality. The prices are steep but the pours are strong. Serious WARNING, the pours are strong! Knock you on your a** kind of strong. Drink with caution. The bartenders are friendly.

This place is crummy. I had a martini. It cost me twenty dollars. It was worth 3 dollars. Maybe if I was rich I would like this club. When the class wars come and the revolution starts, this will be one of the first places to burn.

If you enjoy cocktails this is the bar for you! There aren’t many places you can get a sazarac, old fashioned, Moscow mule, and a good dirty martini but this is one of them. My husband and I went for our anniversary night out and I don’t have one bad thing to say about the bar. By the way, they don’t have a sign out front or any distinguishing branding on the windows. Keep a sharp look out for this hidden gem!

This place is just perfect! Just enough space to make it cozy. This little gem in the center of downtown Fort Myers makes you take a trip back in time. As I was sitting there enjoying one of my old fashioned cocktails made by Sir Anthony, the most excellent knowledgable and gracious bartender, I could not help but feel as if I were in a scene from the Great Gatsby. The actual bar itself full of the liquor bottles serves as the centerpiece for this warp in time. The bartenders are also dressed to play the part alike. The establishment was clean, the bartenders are actual bartenders, and it was just a good time all around. The rustic feel made for an excellent atmosphere. The décor provided an ambiance which placed you sometime before the repeal of prohibition. They kid you not when they advertise the speakeasy feel. I would return as well as recommend without hesitation. I hope this little gem stays around for years to come. It’s the right kind of establishment for the distinguished bar lover.

I’ll go back and give this place another shot, because I really wanted it to be good. I love classic cocktails. Ordered a mint julep, and the guy muddled a big slice of lemon in with the mint and sugar. When I asked him why there was a lemon in a mint julep, he told me it was a lime. So when I asked why there was a lime in my mint julep, he got attitude and asked«oh, well how do YOU make a mint julep?» all sassy. I think someone needs to teach him the difference between a mint julep and a mojito. Good atmosphere, so I’ll give it another try, maybe he’s new. If it’s better I’ll update my review.

Love this place! It has real character, a soul you could say… exposed brick, old wood bar, great music, and most of all… not obnoxiously striving to be «cool».

This is one of my favorite bars in downtown Fort Myers. There is no sign but we stumbled upon this place by the sound of jazz music. The bar takes you back to the 1940’s and 30’s. It’s very intimate and cozy. The drinks are great too! The beauty of this place is that it can be a little hard to find, but that’s ok. It adds to the greatness of the bar :)

I don’t make it down town very often living in North Naples, but I now have a reason to make it down more often. A friend who recently moved to the area brought me to The 86 Room knowing my style and taste and of course right off the bat, I was not let down. The two bartenders on staff(Karl and Tara) were very welcoming and incredibly engaged in the few of us who were at the bar shortly after opening. They were also very intuitive and insightful mixologists who knew how to craft a drink. Every last sip of my custom Bee’s Knees that Tara made was delicious. The environment is remenicent of a 1920’s speakeasy bar. The unpolished façade gives the joint a great feel if you like the seedy, yet classy feel a decent cocktail bar can offer. Single-style bathrooms are clean and carry the same feel the bar does. The alleyway that wraps around the bar inside is just as fun to enjoy as the interior. I hope to return on a night they have live music.
