The UPS Store

This is the closest location to where I live so it is convenient as it is right next to the grocery store where I shop. That said every time I have used this store I have been disappointed by their terrible service one way or another.
One time I had a box ready to go and just needed some filler so I paid them for the filler and shipping which after that needed the box to be taped closed. I assumed they would tape it after the filler was added but they told me I had to purchase tape if I didn’t bring any with me, and the associate pointed to the rolls of packing tape on the wall.
This latest incident I already had my boxes and shipping labels from Amazon as well as my packing tape (as I knew I better have that with me after a previous episode). I took everything in and purchased a padded envelope for one of the items and was told they cannot run my debit card for less than $ 5 so I looked in my wallet but remembered I had put all of my cash in the bank the previous day and all I had was a $ 50 tucked away for emergencies. So I hated to use that in this situation so I said I have 2 other tiny boxes that need some filler so just charge me whatever it costs to get to $ 5 so I can use my card which he punched in to come to $ 5.03 as he couldn’t seem to reach $ 5.00. So he did that and had me swipe my card while they were filling and sealing those boxes. He said oh your card isn’t working try it again so I did and he goes sorry your card is no good. I said well it’s my bank card which I know is fine as I just used it and he goes well it doesn’t work now. So I grabbed another card and swiped it and he goes that one is no good either. So I pulled out a 3^rd card and swiped and he goes that one is no good also. Perhaps our machine is down but I doubt it as it was working! So I ended up using the $ 50 and since he couldn’t figure out how to get the cost to an even $ 5 like I originally asked I got 44.97 cents back from my purchase.
After I left there I went down the street and grabbed lunch and magically my card that was no good worked just fine.
Do yourself a favor like I am going to from now on and drive a little out of the way to use a far superior location with great service such as the one at the corner of San Carlos and Summerlin.
