I have very thick and stubborn hair and everyplace I go they do not cut it the way I want. I told Amanda, who I believe is the salon manager there, that I wanted a razor cut so that my hair would be thinned out some and have more of a piecy look. She did exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased with the results. Finally someplace I can go that isn’t 25 miles from home. Been back two additional times and I’ve been pleased every time. I am so happy I finally found somebody who knows how to do my hair.

Ulta you can do better! Just because I came into your store not wearing much make up(if any) doesn’t mean you’re only interest is «the natural look»… I stopped in today ready to splurge on a whole new look and that meant a whole new make up wardrobe. I’d come straight from getting a facial so I had no make up on. I asked two different sales girls for help in selecting several new things saying I was looking for a full makeover and a bold look yet both of them kept pushing me towards really plain stuff using terms like simple easy & natural. I don’t want natural I would repeat… You would think with all the gunk they have on their faces they would understand what I was looking for. Oh well, I guess I meant to stick with my «natural» look for now. Next time I’ll hit Sephora with my open pocketbook. How disappointing!

Ordered some polish and other products online from Ulta. Very poorly packaged with a bottle of polish broken. I cut my finger on the glass and it ruined a white shirt I was wearing. I took this to the Ulta store for refund, which I received. But seriously– no apology or recognition for my time and the cost of my shirt? Bad form on the part of management no doubt.

I’m always traveling so I it always make me nervous to pay a ton of money to get my hair cut or colored by someone not knowing if it will turn out right. I’ve been box dying for quite some time but lately it’s been meh. Amanda was amazing and managed to fix my very sad hair. I haven’t felt this pretty in a long time. Just wish I could stay and keep her!

The staff here is always RUDE. They act like it is a huge problem to help you or check you out. And the rest rooms are always disgusting. I wish there was a closer Sephora to my house.

No one was rude to me but they didn’t have what I went in there for. Ended up going to Target and they did have it. Haven’t heard of any one using the hair salon. I would be curious about that.

I don’t really understand how anyone could give Ulta a bad review. They have any beauty item you could ever possibly want, ranging in brand and price from drugstore to department store to their own Ulta line. Seriously, they have everything — hair care(yay for Purology!), skin care products including the top notch brands they sell at dermatology offices, perfume, makeup, a bajillion nail polish colors, bath supplies, candles, a men’s selection, and pretty much any other image enhancing trinket you can imagine. I’ve never had a problem with rude staff at any location, especially this one at Bell Tower that I visit on pretty much a weekly basis. There’s plenty of employees available if you need an opinion or help finding a product. They also send out daily emails with sales and specials, which my wallet appreciates. Long story short — Ulta is my Ulta-mate weakness! See what I did there? ;)

I have been coming to the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta for several months now. After a few girls have came and went, I have to say Chelsea is the best. She is very skilled at what she does and shapes my brows perfectly every time!

I am giving this store a 1, solely based on the fact there is no zero rating. I went in to Ulta with two other people, to do some browsing /shopping. I had a promotional coupon for an item, that I was interesting in getting. One of the people in my party was looking for a specific makeup item. The woman who was helping us, could not be ruder. We told the woman what we were specifically looking for(liquid eyeliner). She suggested a certain brand, and we said that it was a little out of the price range we wanted(10 dollars) and all she would show us was felt tips because no one wants brushes anymore; so that’s all they carry. We asked if there was something more affordable, and she snarked at us, asking«well, what did you WANT to pay?», so we said around three. She again, balked at what we said, and she informed us that there’s no way we’d find liquid eyeliner for that price. Anywhere. Unless we go with Wet N Wild, then we’re asking for super cheap, super awful makeup. We also asked for suggestions in the nail department — another person was interested in cuticle information. We told her what we’ve tried(Burt’s Bees cuticle wax), what we’ve heard of, and do they sell something similar. She replied they DO sell Burt’s Bees stuff, but that’s not really good. She also said she really can’t help because they sell nothing like what we really want, although, she uses olive oil on hers(«you know, like the kind you find in your kitchen»); as a form of nourishment for her fingers. We asked if that makes a mess, as it’s straight olive oil. She laughed at us like we were stupid and replied«No, I let it dry first». The whole time we were in there browsing and asking questions, we were treated like idiots. Not to mention the fact that it took almost 10 minutes to find someone to help us. We walked the entire store looking for help, and no one was available. When it was time to check out and use my promo coupon, we found out we in fact could not use it. The woman at the counter was another sales person who treated us like imbeciles. She said she had only seen this coupon one other time since it came out, and they’re not really offering it, as they don’t normally carry that item. We said we had made a special trip to pick it up, and now we’re going home empty handed. She said there was really nothing they could do, as Monday they get a truck delivery and it’s no guarantee that these items would be on the truck, again, as it’s not an item they usually carry. We were nice about it all, asking questions and trying to get answers, and this woman kept talking to us like she was about to hit us. She finally signed a piece of paper from a print out we had, stating we could get the item, ONLY if it was in stock, and ONLY if they had enough of them. What a wasted trip! If they have the item, I will go back, only for that item. Otherwise, they will not see me again. Not worth shopping there!
