In town for work and found it on Unilocal. The rings are very good. Old fashioned diner where they put a ball of ground beef on the grill and mash it into a burger while cooking Pepsi, rings and a small burger was $ 9.81. Burger wasn’t small, I’m stuffed. I should have asked what’s the special. The roast beef and mashed potatoes looked good.

I told you guys I would go back and try their chicken. I had heard so much about their chicken, that when I was in ft scott, i stopped in and ordered the 3 piece Broasted…(yes it’s called Broasted) chicken dinner. OMG, this is by far the best chicken I have ever tasted. Juicy, tender and seasoned so well… my palate fell in love. and the suzy q fries that came with it was so delicious!!! honestly if Nu Grill was franchised more, they could easily put KFC, Churches, Popeyes and Go chicken Go out of business!!! Loving it so much and will definately be back!!!

Stopped in Fort Scott for lunch and decided to get off the beaten track. So happy we did! NuGrille is just a few blocks off the interstate and so much more delicious than a fast food burger! Yet, the prices weren’t much higher. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings. Everything fresh and fixed right in front of me. The staff was friendly and efficient. Loved this slice of Americana!

This small town diner is adorable. We stopped here on our way to KC, and we’re glad we did. We recommend the cheeseburgers and onion rings. The food was great, and the waitress was very friendly.

I will try to time my drive’s from KC to Pittsburg to put me near Fort Scott around lunch time if possible, just so I can drive slightly out of my way to eat at Nu Grill. Basic American and diner food, done very well for a very reasonable price. Good burgers, and fries. Great onion rings. Good chicken strips. Comfortable seating, especially in the table top sections. But for the full experience, sit at the counter. Someday, I hope to try breakfast.

We really liked this place. Onion rings were awesome. Almost a tempura batter to them. Delicious. I got the broasted chicken and it was awesome. Everyone liked what they had, and we will absolutely be back if we are in the area. Oh, and there is a room in the back for groups.

Food is always good. Value is OK. Their pork fritter sandwiches are always my favorite. Sometimes their fried squash is over cooked but edible. Steaks are just Ok. Chicken is good and a community favorite.

Great place for breakfast. Just a typical small town diner. Friendly people. Try the cinnamon rolls. Yum.

I’m so upset w/myself that I haven’t been here before. I’ve traveled through Ft. Scott for over 40 yrs. So stop eating at gross McDonald’s and drive an extra 2 minutes to downtown.

Great little hamburger joint. Traditional 50’s style griddle fried hamburgers with onions. Been eating here over 40 years. They have the best onion rings in Fort Scott. I would give them five stars but I feel as if the portions are small for the money. Also not much variety on the breakfast menu.

Yummy hamburgers and great homemade onion rings. It is off of the highway but everytime we’ve been there we’ve been impressed with the food and the friendly service. Lots of street parking near by.

Looks like a diner… And is… However the burgers were good. Had the signature burger with jalapeños. The jalapeños were clearly pickled out of a can, but the burger was fresh and good. Fried mushrooms weren’t that great, but the rings, tots and the rest excelled.

The burgers are fresh and taste amazing, but I wish they were a little bigger. For the price, they are fine, though. Never quite got up the nerve to try the mountain oysters. I wish they had a sampler or something because I didn’t want to buy the whole meal if I ended up only eating one bite.

Average at best, yet some times appear to be cooked fresh. Nothing special but maybe 4 star in Ft. Scott but 2 Star in Kansas City

The BEST hamburger in Kansas bar none. This is a place I always seek out whenever in the SEKS area. The hamburgers are delicious and the suzy’s are fresh and crispy. I’ve been eating here since I was a small child and this place has gotten better with age. It looks like a dump, but places that look like that usually have the best food and the NU Grill is no exception. Even if you have to go 50 miles out of your way, I’d recommend this place to anyone.
