Great BBQ(St Louis style) Ribs had perfect smoke ring and Signature sauce was just right. Very reasonably priced.

Dont let the entrance run you off! This little joint wont let you down! We eat here often and it has never disappointed. Pulled pork is the best-so tender and you can add more sauce if you want-4 different kinds to choose from. Try the sliced loin for a change-tender and mild. Havent had anything i didnt like-except the chili. It just had too much meat in it and not enough beans. The service always has been A+.

One of those local spots that you would drive right by if you were not from the area. Heard a couple locals talk about this place in Fort Scott, so I decided to check it out. I must say mediocre at best. For the price the portions are really small. The service was great but I will probably not come back.

Yeah, buddy! What a treat. Looks like a dive from the outside. Looks a little divy inside too. But the BBQ is pretty damn good. If you find yourself passing through Ft Scott for some reason on 54 hiway, stop and grab a cold one and some of their freakin’ awesome peppered turkey. Yeah the pulled pork was tasty and the beef was smoked near perfect. But da-yum, that turkey was great! Several sauces available on the table. I liked the hot and the sweet. Limited selection of beer. Kids menu. Terrific German slaw and the beans were spot on too. Not a lot of parking in the lot but you can park on the street to the side. Friendly service. Decent sized servings; it comes out on a big tray and doesn’t look like as much as it its. Burnt ends on Sat only. I have had KCBBQ and Texas BBQ and all sorts of BBQ all over the country. This would not win any cook off awards. But it’s worth the short drive to Ft Scott from my hometown of Nevada MO for some pretty dang decent Q.

One of the best BBQ joints around these parts. Between the friendly staff & great food it’s definitely worth a little drive.

Sugar foot was a pleasant little surprise in whatever town this was in that we passed through! It was a Saturday, around 5:30. The place was empty. They have a «burnt ends» special only on Saturdays and that is what I got. It was actually really good!!! The outside looks kind of shabby, but the inside is actually decorated quite cool! It definitely doesn’t match the exterior. It is clean and friendly inside. The lack of stars comes from our service unfortunately. We had about 8 people in our group, but like I said before, the place was empty. Our waitress took our drink orders and we got those pretty quick. It took about 10 minutes later for her to come back and take our order. The food took a good 25 – 30 minutes to receive. It was a pretty long wait for a BBQ joint. The food was good and the sauce was pretty good too. I would recommend calling in to place an order if you want to go here. The wait was almost unbearable with angry, hungry men! The waitress was also not too enthusiastic. I think she was in high school. She refilled some of our drinks, others we refilled ourselves, and she never checked on us, we had to holler at her to come over — she was playing on her phone. But I guess it couldn’t been worse, no one was rude, she was just a teenager.

Nice place for some BBQ and a cold beer on highway 54. Nothing fancy here, just friendly, fast service and good BBQ.

Excellent«Q»… An eclectic little country place. Pulled pork sandwich for lunch. Red potato salad was homemade, great beans. Cornbread was ok, but enough butter fixes all that. Reasonable prices. Staff was on the spot with drinks, etc. if you’re passing by its too good to pass up.

I have driven past this place for over four years and I finally stopped to try it out over the Christmas break. They are a solid barbeque joint and I’m glad that I stopped. Their staff was friendly and the food was out quick and was good, not great. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re ever in Fort Scott but I can’t say I’d make the journey just to eat there.

The environment here is great(this is what I think of when I think of country barbeque). The owner and staff are very friendly and accomodating. The ribs are good(even though I’m generally not a huge fan of St. Louis style). I would say that the sweet sauce is the most memorable of the options. The slaw is also good(but not the best I’ve had). Unfortunately, they were out of cornbread when I went. The sweet tea was not sweet enough for my Georgia tastebuds. It’s worth a stop if you’re in the area.
