Best place to go anywhere on post. This place has healthy fresh food! I got the teriyaki chicken and it was awesome. They need to have more of these healthy food trucks on post. Everything else is junk! Also need to get the bubble tea when they have it in. Can’t wait to try it!

Normally, I would write much shorter reviews on Unilocal!,but have chosen to be detailed since this will be the first review for this company on Unilocal!and because I have had the opportunity to speak with the owner directly and learn a great deal about this food truck in particular. As a food snob, I just love it when a chef shows appreciation for fresh ingredients and a food’s culture! If I’m not mistaken, Ono Island Grindz was the first food truck to make a lasting impression on Fort Stewart, which makes it all that more surprising to me that I am the first to be writing a review on Unilocal! I tried every dish on their menu that was available, and truly, I loved every dish! The only two dishes that I was not able to try were the Teri Beef Plate $ 7.95 and Big Island Mixed Plate $ 8.50, but I arrived late in the day and I will be back earlier next time to get a chance to try these two dishes! Positives: — Most importantly, besides the food, I got to take a peek behind the walls and it was clean! This food truck’s kitchen was clean, the workers were dressed appropriately, and the food was being handled properly. — The chef’s «secret» teriyaki sauce was not overly sweet or salty, but still had the bitters and tangy flavor that everyone loves so much when it comes to teriyaki sauces. — The menu was simple enough to not overwhelm diners, was clear and easy to understand, and had quick descriptions of what was offered with each plate. — The woman at the window was pleasant and personable and the cooks beam with pride and happiness as they prepare your dishes. You feel that the crew are happy to cook for you; there’s an appreciation for you as their customer. Negatives: — While almost every dish comes with a small salad, there are no vegetable or vegetarian offerings. — The food truck is not always easy to find because of constantly moving around the base, due to Fort Stewart’s Business Services. While this is not the food truck’s fault, I’m sure it deters a lot of potential business. I have learned that the owner is being diligent and posts on his site each day of their projected location. Lastly, I will tell you what my favorites were… I am officially obsessed with the Taro Bubble Drink $ 3.50 and Lumpia $ 1.00. The Taro Bubble Drink was like sweet milk on it’s way to being a milkshake! The Lumpia are small individual fried rolls, much like a spring roll, and I am hooked! You might have to visit their site to figure out where to find this food truck, but I’m sure that you’ll love this food truck as much as I have!
