I was finally able to take an item of clothing to Alterations by Frances, and I was not disappointed! This place definitely earned the rave reviews it received.
I was hesitant to have to drive to KY for an alteration, but it’s not that bad of a drive — and worth the extra 5 – 10 mins.
The seamstresses were all super warm and friendly, and really listened to what look I was hoping to achieve.
The prices were extremely reasonable, and turn-​around time was super fast. They will certainly be getting my business again when I need to get a bridesmaids dress altered this fall!

I have taken 3 bridesmaids dresses to Frances over the years. Ridiculously fast turn around and quality work. Most recently, I went in on a Wednesday and had the dress back by the following Wednesday. My bridesmaids dress was too tight at the top and I hadn’t been able to get it zipped. Not only did she get it zipped, but she knew exactly what to do to the dress to let it out and make it fit correctly. Affordable too! I will be taking all my alterations to Frances as her record is 3 – 0 with me.

Fast turn around! Went in on Wednesday and was greeted by a friendly girl at the counter. The store is very well kept and organized, unlike some alteration stores that are overwhelming with clothes dropped off and for pick up. Two changing rooms was also nice. I picked up my three pair of pants two days after dropping them off (hemmed and tapered) and was very pleased with the end result. Will definitely do business again.

Had suit tailored here for Derby. I am highly satisfied with the fitting process and the end result. I will be bringing some other suits in that need minor alterations after this great first performance.

She deserves a 5 star review and here is why– her shop is clean and bright. By far the best I’ve been to. She is experienced and listens to you! Hallelujah a seamstress to LISTEN and not just rush through the pinning. I took a pretty dress to her to have altered after another seamstress said it could not be done. Well it could and Frances did it. I fits me perfectly now! Yay! She is always friendly and is a pleasure to talk to. Go here you won’t be disappointed. Tailored clothing MAKES your clothes fit so much better.

There is literally nothing this woman can not do. She does great work at a fair price and her entire team are completely skilled. I would 100% recommended her company to anyone in need of any kind of repairs. From zippers to wedding dresses, she does it all. Love her.

Took two pairs of my favorite jeans in to be hemmed. I am not in the habit of naming my jeans, nor did they have a name before — but after taking them to Alterations by Frances I have sadly named them Too Short and Way Too Short. They now live in a drawer in the bottom of my closet, which previously had only been good for hiding The Elf on the Shelf.
A sad day for good jeans. I’ll have to pour one out for my fallen comrades.

5 stars!!! I was in an extreme panic when I realized that there was no way I would be able to hem a dress I had bought, and then needed the next morning to take out of town, by myself! I panicked and called these wonderful ladies and found myself with a professionally hemmed dress in only about 4 hours of notice. They did such a fabulous job in such a short amount of time that I have already recommended them to a handful of people in the short amount of time I’ve know about them. They do a fabulous job and the prices are so worth it. $ 10 for a hem job? Unheard of! So happy with them that I’m bringing a bunch of my husband’s dress pants over to get hemmed this week!
