Have you ever sat in a nicely appointed restaurant and thought, «hmm, I wish I could have all this nice ambiance, but still feel like I’m in a fast food restaurant with the taste to match»? Well look no further than Fusion Bistro. My wife and I wanted to try somewhere different, and weren’t sure what to expect. We had heard their advertisement on the radio and thought we’d check it out. You’re immediately struck by the juxtaposition when you walk in the door. Here’s a nicely decorated restaurant, with trendy music playing, but then there’s a counter with a lit up board to order from, like you’d find in most fast food restaurants. We were taken back by this, but decided to shrug it off as just something different. The second big clue that we were possibly in for something far inferior to what we were expecting was when the cashier who took our orders, gave us two styrofoam cups for our«self serve» drinks. We seated ourselves, and we got our drinks. We were commenting on how odd it was that this place looked as nice as it did, but then you ordered from the counter and got take away cups with your plastic wear wrapped in a napkin inside said cups. It was while we discussed this that I looked down to see that the bench I was sitting at had apparently not been cleaned since possibly lunch time. I looked around and noticed a few other dirty tables, and chairs askew. The decline in my mood began to speed up, and was accelerated when our food arrived. It was delivered by a young lady that looked like she stepped off a pirate ship where she worked as a cook/waitress/janitor/auxiliary oarsman. Our«Bento Boxes» were set down before us. I had the Pow Wow Chicken with noodles, ginger salad, and pot stickers. The chicken was average at best, and tasted like it was warmed up from a box. The noodles tasted like they too may have just been recently extricated from a box. While the salad wasn’t too bad, it was sloppily thrown together and drenched in ginger dressing. My wife’s salad had a large piece of the core of a head of iceberg lettuce in it. The worst of all were the pot stickers. I assumed one of two things had happened to them. One, that the name was too literal and these things had literally been sticking to a pot for a week, found by the cook(insert«box opening microwave artist» here) and then deep fried again so they could be served«warm», or two, that these had been a leftover burnt order from lunch that were trying to be passed off again to keep profit margins higher. Regardless, they were AWFUL! I was about to give this place only one star, but then I thought about it and gave them a «bonus» star for the atmosphere. If you stop in and don’t eat, then this would be a nice place. It would be even better if they lowered the lights a little bit so you can’t see the dried remnants of a lunch time noodle that escaped consumption, and found refuge by clinging to the side of the pleather bench. Needless to say, we won’t be back, and will encourage our friends to stay clear of this place. To sum it all up, it seems like this place was designed by someone who cared about your dinning experience, but then was too exhausted from that to be bothered with things like food preparation, staff, or the ACTUAL dining experience. While this place isn’t for us, I’m sure there may be a rube or two around these parts that might enjoy it. On second thought, I’m taking that extra star back!!!

Delicious food with a nice ambience. Only complaint– hostesses/waitresses have seemed snooty and detached on the two times I visited. A little warmth from them could really liven that place up!

Stopped here for lunch with my boyfriend. I had the HSTC sandwich which is turkey and ham. He had the chicken teriyaki. Found the sandwich to be pretty good, his teriyaki was super salty though. Staff was friendly enough. Their menu is huge, which is a good and a bad thing. Seems like they make a lot of food, but don’t really specialize in anything, it’s all kind of «meh.» Plus side; decent amount of food for a small price.

My wife and I stopped in because we were looking for a place we hadn’t been to yet. When we walked inside, the décor and atmosphere were very nice, but that’s where the positives stopped for both of us. Here are some of the things they fell way short on. We could tell the food had been sitting under heat lamps waiting to be served because the potstickers were cold, the BLT sandwich had cheap, thin bacon on it, the Pow Wow chicken was overcooked and dry, and the noodles were not warm. Sorry FB but you guys need to start making your meals fresh.

We stopped in randomly for lunch on a weekend afternnon. The menu options are good. I liked the idea of so many different types of food. The portions were also plenty. The food was absolutely delicious! I would absolutely return.

We went the first time 2 weeks ago. I ordered the cusabi salad without reading what it was(trying to be adventurous). My husband ordered one of the bento boxes. Both orders looked fabulous. It was then I realized cucumber wasabi was the salad I ordered. My tummy can’t handle wasabi and tho I attempted to eat it, I got sick. We went again because my husbands food looked so good. I ordered the general Tao chicken. It was sooo good, not too much breading and not too greasy. I love that the bento boxes come with 3 sides and a drink and at a low $ 8 bucks. It is plenty of food; enough for me to share with my 5yo. I’ll def go back. Excited to try the Latino box next time. I love that they offer Latino, American and Chinese cuisine. The décor is modern and minimalistic, which I love.

Like another review I wanted to like this place also. It’s cute inside with a nice staff. I got the Pow Wow chicken with noodles, potstickers and a ginger salad. The chicken was Not lightly breaded, it’s 90% breading. The thing is when you pop the whole thing in your mouth you might be fooled because of the consistency. I opened at least 5 of the«chickens» and yep all breading. The side ginger salad was good though. Like I said, I wanted to like it, but unfortunately I won’t return.

Well, where do I begin, the restaurant was nice, but as a bistro I expected a little more as far as décor goes, and the paper napkins were an eye soar. My wife and I went here after having read decent reviews, and we both wanted to like it, the food sounded good but when it came to us it was a whole other story… I got the Szechuan noodle soup and my wife got the pow wow chicken. Presentation wise, my soup came in an overly large oblong bowl that made the soup hard to eat. I took a bite and I know as a past in working as a chef how spicy Szechuan soup should taste, and I couldn’t breath after the first bite with all the red pepper flakes and black pepper, they took it back and made it without the pepper and now it was just bland. I was done, my wife though had it worse, she got chicken that was slime in the middle, how on earth you can fry chicken and it end up with slime texture in the center I have no clue. Needless to say; we got our money back, and we left. All in all there is no way I would ever return to this restaurant. I’m just glad I didn’t get sick. I ended up eating food at one of my other favorite places.

Delicious pepper steak but I also recommend the pow wow chicken. For the side you must try the pot stickers. They are awesome. This might explain why I eat here on a regular basis. The price is very affordable also.

If you follow my reviews you will know that I am NOT a big fan of this area of Florida. However of all of the cities on the Emerald Coast I actually like FWB the best. There are not as many tourists over here, the people are not as pretentious as the ones in Destin, and they are also not as redneck as the ones in Pensacola or Panama Shitty. They are just basic down to earth and for the most part nice people. You will see people riding their bike around but not because they are Lance Armstrong, but because it’s their mode of transportation. You will see them ride their bike to go pick up some beer and smokes from the gas station. That always just cracks me up. God bless em, at least they are riding their bike. Sooooo with all that being said, you have to understand my apprehension about trusting this basic little area to produce any real fine dining experiences. But Fusion Bistro went way beyond my expectations and delivered big time. The moment you enter this place you no longer feel that you are in FWB any more and like another reviewer stated, it does feel like you are in NYC or something. The ambiance and décor is totally chic. The service is good and so is the food. I had the sweet and sour chicken with the noodles, the Ginger Salad, Grilled Zucchini and a Blue Tango Smoothie. All of these items were absolutely delish! This is just a really unique and surprisingly awesome place. I have driven past it many times never realizing what I was missing, I’m so happy that I finally stopped by.

I love coming here for lunch. I just wish it wasn’t so far away. The restaurant itself is quite small and has a very casual atmosphere. There’s no waiter service, you order at the register. The presentation of the dishes is great and the food is very tasty! I thought it would be bad because when you tend to mix a bunch of different cuisines in one restaurant, something is going to suffer, but not the case here. Every meal I have had has been excellent.

I wanted to like this place. I like the concept and it looks really nice when you walk in the prices are good and even better with the Groupon I had. Ambiance, service and price should be a good reason to dine here. Unfortunately the food is just not up to par. I had the Pow-Pow chicken which was listed as lightly fried chicken in a spicy sweet sauce. It was actually more breading than chicken and the sauce was just sweet there was no Pow. I had to add sriracha to give it any spice at all. The meal came with 2 dumplings which were just okay and I opted for noodles instead of rice and salad with ginger dressing. The salad was good and the noodles were okay just needed a little more flavor and were luke-warm, not hot. My friend ordered the curry chicken after she asked was it too spicy. I didn’t try it but she asked for additional noodles because it was too spicy. She took the rest to-go but I’m not sure she ate it later. This place had steady business which I thought odd but maybe I’m accustomed to having better Asian fusion food. This place could be awesome but they need to improve their food in my opinion. I was just visiting in Fort Walton Beach and on my next visit I won’t be stopping by. The food wasn’t terrible but it was nothing to right home about either.

Brought a Groupon and visited this place for an early dinner. It looks hopeful from the outside, although located in just another strip mall. When we walked in, I felt like I could be in a hotspot in Atlanta. Nice little funky setup. We ordered the Szechwan Noodle Bowl and Beef and Broccoli. Quickly served and very flavorful. Will definitely return!

I have driven by here so much but never had a chance to stop in, until now. Staff: 5⁄5: no complaints here. Location: 4⁄5: clean, the ambience was clear, yet casual. However it seemed just a bit on the dark side. Food: 5⁄5: I was surprised when I got this square rotating tray with dishes so clean, you’d think they broke out the good plates just for you. I had 0 idea what to get, so I went with the sweet and sour chicken. This wasn’t that kind of cheapo chicken you’d get at some crappy airport fast Asian or some dodgy, run down Chinese restaurant. This was perfectly made and perfectly cooked mixed with nice S/S sauce and pineapple(nice touch). Add this with a little salad(I couldn’t figure out what was in that sauce), potstickers and ginger noodles(looked like Lo Mein) and this worked. Pricing: 5⁄5: I’m always up for a good deal and damn, I got value. $ 10 got me drink, entrée + 2 sides. Overall: 5⁄5: take that Manchu Wok/Panda Express! You claim its«fresh» but here the term«fresh» for once seemed legit to me.

Very good place for the money. You get an entrée, side salad(which is amazing), another side(I suggest potstickers), and a drink for all under $ 10! They have sandwiches, smoothies with boba, salads and soups. I had the Pow Wow chicken and it was amazing. Will surely visit this place when I’m back in Florida. The customer service was very great and they were sure to take care of us since we were first time visitors! It’s an amazing place to bring the family for Asian food with a twist. Happy Eating!

My wife brought me here, and I gotta say it was pretty good! Been here a few years, at one point living right across the street almost and didn’t even know this place was here, but I wish I had seen it earlier. For myself, I ordered the chicken burrito which includes olives, cheese, lettuce, corn, chicken. typical burrito stuff, EXCEPT that upon the first few bites I noticed you could really taste the freshness. When I took a bite the lettuce was super crisp and fresh, it crunched. I just felt like I was eating something fresh and that was good for me and wasn’t going to sit in my stomach like a brick. It also comes with a drink, chips and salsa and grilled zucchini. Chips were not greasy at all for me and the zucchini was also good. Not loaded down by any dressings or anything which was nice. My wife ordered Saturday’s special, the spicy chicken stir fry. Had some of her food as well and can without a doubt say that I wish I had ordered that. It was that good. The spice was not a joke! Not a heat spice, but what tasted like a seasoned, cooked into the meat spice – delicious. She got potstickers and noodles on the side and as well as a ginger salad. HANDSDOWN, get the ginger salad. The dressing was freakin’ delicious. The noodles I preferred over the potstickers, as they had a nice flavor, not just plain noodles. Potstickers were also good, but weren’t the boiled kind and seemed to lack the baked, crunchy exterior they appeared to have. Overall, I will definitely return. It’s casual, but the lighting and restaurant décor adds to it’s classy side.

Sadly, I was not impressed. First, the cashier takes your money and then grabs your cup and scoops it into the bucket of ice without washing hands or using a scoop. When places do this, I automatically can’t drink it — it just grosses me out. I ordered the parmesan chicken wrap. I was convinced the meat inside was pork, it looked really weird. The cashier even thought it looked like pork(it was her first week) and had to bring it into the back to verify with the chef that it was, in fact, chicken and that they use very dark meat and marinade. Now I’ve forever added the question of «is it white meat» to any order of chicken anywhere. Chips and salsa were greasy. Noodles on the side were plain and uneventful. I wouldn’t say write it off on one try, but the 4 others at my table were not all that impressed with their food either.
