Bottom Line: A small store with expensive novelty cups but they are made in the USA. Two things draw me into Tervis — whimsical colors and the fascination with the business model for selling $ 20 plastic cups. And the two things that drive me out of here are a questionable value for the money and a lack of customer engagement. If you don’t know anything about Tervis cups, basically they are double-wall plastic cups that keep things either cold or hold. If you have a cold drink, you don’t have to worry about the drink sweating. I can see where this would come in handy if you keep a cup on your desk all day at work. If you have a hot drink, then the plastic can withstand those temperatures and keep your hand from burning. Of course clear plastic would be no fun so between the double wall layers Tervis slips in fun graphics or patches. Some of the cups look neat and fun, others, and particularly those with patches slipped in, look cheap to me. A 16 oz. tumbler that would be big enough to hold a can of soda with some ice will set you back $ 17 and an extra $ 4 for a lid. If you are going to use this cup every day I think that is fine but I’d be sad to loose a cup that cost me this much. Even though I am luke-warm on Tervis cups and this particular store, I do appreciate that they are made in America and I am willing to pay additional for a product made here.
