My family & extended family have been going here for well over 20 years. We love the staff and they know our family by name. They gave their condolences when our great grandmother passed away. Their food is by a long shot the best Chinese food I have ever had. Their potstickers, egg drop soup, hot & spicy soup, crab Rangoon, and fried rice are just some of my top favorites. We do a lot of birthday dinners here but I also love to get take out on my way home from work. I would give more stars if possible. Amazing place! Incredibly friendly staff and PHENOMENALFOOD!

I called up my buddy Mohit last night to see about getting some dinner. We were on the fence about where to eat. I suggested getting some sort of Chinese buffet. He mocked me and asked me if I was crazy. I am crazy, but that is beside the point. I guess Mohit didn’t feel like getting food poisoning. Anyway, he suggested China Palace, which he assured me was delicious and much cheaper than my favorite Chinese place, Yen Ching. I opened up Unilocal to check out the reviews to make sure he wasn’t lying to me. I trust Unilocal to never, ever lie when it comes to reviews, because I am crazy. I almost turned down Mohit’s suggestion based on the review about China Palace adding 1 to 3 cents on every item ordered. I can’t stand for price gouging, especially when it comes to a total of anywhere from 9 to 12 cents. That 12 cents could be spent elsewhere on much more important things than sustenance. I could save that 12 cents and combine it with the next 12 cents I saved by deciding not to go to China Palace the next time I go out to eat. Then I would almost have enough for a gumball out of one of those quarter gumball machines(not the ones that have upped their price to $ 0.50, which I am okay with, because it isn’t some ridiculous number like a penny). Well, we decided to check out this China Palace, despite the penny price gouging mentioned in that other Unilocal review. We live on the edge, and also we have jobs so can afford the extra penny they might add to each item. We walked in and were sat immediately. I think our waters were refilled before we even had a chance to take our first drink. The service would precede to get us refills on our water an estimated 50 times throughout the meal. They were on top of things. We ordered some pot stickers and chicken wings as appetizers. Both were great, especially the wings. They were enormous and very flavorful. As my boy Guy Fieri(its pronounced Fee-eti, you guys) would say, these apps were found on the corner of tasty avenue and you-know-that’s-what-I’m-talking-about street. We shared a couple entrees, with the Mongolian Beef and General Tso’s Chicken. Both were one way tickets to Flavortown, population our mouths. We finished and got our bill. They must have taken the only 1-star Unilocal review to heart, because they didn’t overcharge every item by 1 to 3 cents. Thank God for that. We almost didn’t come because of the rumors of price gouging, but thankfully that was just a scary nightmare(I blame the clowns). There would be no price gouging this day, only delicious, affordable Chinese food. I give this all the stars.

Best in Fort Wayne hands down! Don’t be put off by location or décor. Servers were so friendly. We had our kids with us and they don’t have kids menu per say, but they do have chicken & fries! It’s not the norm chicken strips its there sweet and sour chicken! My 3 year old loved it! I recommend there pot stickers! I’m day dreaming of them now!

The place has very good Chinese food. The wings are fantastic and the Hunan Chicken is suprurb! The family that runs it are really nice people I know them personally. The servers are good but didn’t allow for any substitute of any vegetables, which is usually not a problem unless your at the Q House

Typical Chinese fare that’s quick and easy for lunch. The people waiting on us were Vietnamese and were very hospital. Service was on point as our drinks were constantly being refilled and they were there to ask if we needed anything else.

This place has been consistently the best Chinese in Ft. Wayne since I started eating here in the 90’s. The family that owns/runs China Palace have seriously maintained the quality of the food and service. Try the hot and sour soup and the crab Rangoon!

I recommend the hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, and their fried chicken. Best. Ever. Every time I come here with my family, those listed above are a must ! Plus, staff members are very friendly including the owners. :)

Good Chinese food for the price, but not as authentic as I like. Tastes are very Americanized. Service is good, but the place needs to be updated to look more appealing. If you like tamed down Asian food this is the place for you. More authentic food choices are found at WU’s further north on coliseum and cold water by dicks and firehouse subs.

I had to write after reading the last review. A 5 cent mistake on a hand calculation and you give it one star?. Abuse of your minimal power. Just sad. They are wonderful people and the five of us go there often, or at least get takeout. It’s hands down the best Chinese place in town. All of the flavors are well developed and you can really tell what you’ve been missing at places just using Sweet or hot sauces. Perfect Rangoon. Great soups. High quality chicken and beef. It really is a premium place which we love.

Wonderful management that serves traditional northern Chinese dishes. They have a very clean and quiet establishment where just about anyone can feel comfortable at. I prefer their Lo menI but they have a great reputation for their shrimp in lobster sauce dish. Always a solid choice when in the area.

Seriously delicious! The staff is extremely friendly as well! We ordered the hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, and three different entrees and we were beyond happy with everything! Everything was fresh and so delicious! My only complaint is I did not receive any cookies, we ordered take out so I’m not sure if they are only upon request on take out but everyone raves on about them in reviews so I was a little disappointed to not get them but other than that… perfection all the way around!!!

Ask for the chicken wings Eddie Style! They are very accommodating substituting your favorite sauces and vegetables to taylor your meal to your taste. The Plum wine is always a great pairing with every dish!

This place is totally outstanding. I grew up in Fort Wayne and my family ate here at least once every two weeks. Never a bad meal. Egg Rolls are the best I have ever had! Prices were excellent and egg drop soup… must be their own recipe… you start to crave! If your near this place, you’ve got to dine here!

I was totally craving Chinese food the other day, so we drove out to China Palace. Our GPS got us there via a truly insane route(added nearly 10 minutes to the drive), I was well and truly starving. The fried-appetizer-loving part of me didn’t mind so much because it gave me a good excuse to order an appetizer! We started off with the crab rangoons. These were very, very tasty. I don’t think it is just the hunger talking either. Really liked these. Hot, crisp, and not too greasy. Our entrees came with soup so I got the egg drop soup and the hubby got the hot and sour soup. I didn’t like the egg drop soup — it was a little too yolky for my tastes. But my husband loved it(he normally doesn’t like egg drop soup). I liked the hot and sour soup better than my husband, so we just switched:) It was pretty good, but I couldn’t eat it all. I got the mu shu pork. It was pretty good, very smokey in flavor. The plum sauce was served cold on the side. Came with rice. My disappointment: Came wrapped in flour tortillas. I’m used to building my own with the thin little pancakes. The tortillas were a little heavy for me, so I just pulled the meat out and ate with the rice. Hubby got the Mongolian beef. It also had a nice smokey flavor. He really enjoyed it and put a good dent into it. We had plenty of left overs to take home with us. They serve almond cookies along with the fortune cookies. I think all staff members we interacted with were members of the family. They were very nice and packed up our to-go boxes for us. Service was a touch slow, but we weren’t in a hurry. I don’t think we will order the same things next time, but we will be back to try something else.

Your next fortune cookie will tell you that you should have gone to China Palace! The food: plentiful, delicious, hot. But the price: wow! We have never, ever been disappointed! The family that runs this is very conscientious of their patrons and their waitstaff is quick and efficient. The hot and sour soup is excellent, the eggrolls could be consumed a dozen at a time, and whatever the special is will never disappoint! This is worth the drive out to the south side!
