My wife and I had a tradition of eating at Culvers after a movie at CarMikes. Yesterday we were out to see the new Star Wars and as usual, we stopped into Culvers. The service and staff are great, but the food has been less than stellar in our last few visits. Yesterday we took our meal to go and my double burger was bland despite ordering mustard and catsup to be added. The burger patties and onions were drown in old oil on the cook top and the oil was dripping off of my burger when I got home. There are other restaurants that want our business on DuPont between home and the theater.

I love Culvers. Great burgers and sandwiches, fantastic onion rings and fries and delectable(although not healthy) desserts. Most Culvers stores I have been to are the same. The interior is the same, the menu is the same and this store was no different. The thing that really set it aside was the customer service. As soon as we came in we were greeted and our order was taken. After we sat down and started to eat, a staff member came and asked If our food was ok and if we wanted soda refills. We politely declined, but it was very kind of them to ask. I had never been asked that before. After we finished our lunch and left, two staff members said good bye to us. This Culvers went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I’d come back!!!

Good, good food. Very nice location near hospitals. The best in selection of meals. Very friendly here.

Had the double burger with onion rings. Burgers were so thin you couldn’t taste them, all there was was a bun and a bunch of nasty toppings and the onion rings are nothing special, wouldn’t order either again. Prices are far from cheap, I would say high. The guy taking order would even after we chose the basket ask us if we wanted fry and med drink, seriously. Then ask if we wanted the twenty cent up charge for the large drink. Our party was five kids and two adults but yet continually(each of seven) asking to up charge. Disappointing $ 56 experience.

Fast and courteous service at a great price. My single bacon butter burger was delicious and not greasy. I like that it came with all of the fixins. The fries were crispy. I have ate at other Culver ‘s and my experience at this particular location lived up to my expectations. Now if I could just save room for dessert!

If you go here stick with the frozen treats. Burgers are very greasy and fries are usually soggy.

So I had Culver’s for the second time. The first time I had it, it was in the suburbs of Chicago. I feel like both times, I was not super impressed. The burger is ok. It’s bigger than a regular hamburger at McDonalds. I guess my point is, this is your typical fast food burger place. I’d eat here for convenience, not because I want to go out of my way to eat here. I haven’t have the frozen custard yet though.

Went here with the family. I know they are known for their butter burgers, which are good, but I wanted try something new. I ordered the pot roast dinner with green beans and mashed potatos. Stick with the butter burgers. The pot roast was ok — a little stringy, and is served on tough, hard to cut toast. The mashed potatos were obviously instant and lacked flavor. The green beans were undercooked and still crunchy. Gravy had the most flavor of anything and it was pretty scant. MOREGRAVY! For dessert I had a mini concrete mixer. Yum. I will come back, but will stick with what they are known for — butter burgers and frozen custard.

I love this place. It’sa little more than a typical fast food joint: you order at the counter, but they bring you your food and clean up afterwards. It’s a little more expensive, but their burgers are fantastic and their shakes are even better. They make the best malt in town.
