This place is so delicious. We finally got a chance to come here after reading amazing review after amazing review, and we’re so glad we did, and can’t wait to come back. Tortilla chips & salsa are great and never-ending. Papusas are fresh and flavorful — I highly recommend them! Quesadillas are also fresh, so delicious. I would like to go back and try some more authentic Mexican /Spanish recipes. We were stuffed and happy when we left with our box of leftovers! I’m knocking a star off for the atmosphere. I don’t mind it’s location(next to a gas station), and our table was very clean, however, the carpet in there is such an eyesore. It’s stained, so even if it is clean, it doesn’t look like it, and that’s a little off-putting when you’re eating. The server we had was extremely nice, answered our questions about the food and made genuine conversation with us. We will be back!

This is as close to the real deal one could find outside of the country of El Salvador! Large, well made pupusas and the best pork tamale I’ve ever had. Plus the Salvadoran Horchata is a must. Tables filled as we waited for our food and numerous people waited for to-do orders but the one cook and one waitress kept things going very quickly. Reasonable prices. Don’t let the exterior or location fool you! Best Latin American food in town!

Wow, what a find! We discovered that we love pupusas while on vacation last summer, but we haven’t been able to find another Salvadoran restaurant until now. I ordered 3 different pupusas, all delicious, and my husband had something like«my country steak» — also very good. I also ordered guacamole which was the absolute best chunky, creamy, fresh guacamole we’ve ever had. The chips were fresh and crunchy, not greasy like many restaurant chips are. The waitress and another young gentleman working with her could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I changed my mind probably 3 times while ordering but she just smiled and laughed. We live over an hour away from this restaurant, but planned our Saturday date to eat here after visiting the cathedral just down the street. We’ll definitely be returning as soon as we can!

My husband and I went here for lunch after many months of driving by it. I am glad we did! It is not fancy inside, it has some tables and a few booths. There were about 3 tables and 3 booths occupied. We received multi colored chips, and while the chips were not hot, they were fresh. The salsa was on the thin side but had a really good flavor. My husband ordered 4 of the papusa-mix papusas. They are round, flat soft tortilla-like things stuffed with cheese, beans and pork. While there was not a ton of filling, they were very good. 4 were more than he could eat. I ordered the steak with onions. It was not spicy at all. It was a marinated steak cut in strips and was very good. It came with rice, beans and 2 of the flat tortilla-like things without a filling. The rice was not«Mexican» rice, but was better. It was made fresh — not warmed up in a microwave. The beans were good as well, but I did not care for my tortilla things — they were a little doughy. Perhaps they are supposed to be that way? I also could not finish my meal. We also ordered 2 soft drinks and the bill was only $ 20.00. Service was good, even though there was only 1 waitress. We will definitely be back as both the price and food were good.

The food was exquisite! I had la sopa de camerones and a mixed fruit smoothie. They both had great flavor and tasted very fresh. The meal was very affordable at $ 10.80. The only thing keeping me from rating this a five star was the strip-mall, pizzeria ambiance. Definitely consider this place if you are looking for great, affordable food more than a dining experience.

Love this place! Wonderful homemade food. Get the cheese pupusa, chicken tamale, and fried Yuka. You won’t regret it. Also, the Salvadorian Horchata is the bomb.

I first tried to have lunch here on a Monday however it was closed. Can’t blame them. They are open the other 6 days a week. I returned the following day with my two daughters. It was exactly what I thought it would be: Good home cooking and a family environment. I had the chile relleno it was by far the best I ever had. The rice was fantastic. One daughter had a spicy chicken dish(don’t remember the name) and she enjoyed it. The other daughter had a hamburger(oh well) which was so big she could not finish it. The girls ended up taking most of their meal home. The tortillas I received with my lunch were out of this world. I advised my daughters that lunch would take longer than normal because everything was made from scratch. The only issue is that the place is so close to my office that I am afraid I might be there every other day. The portions are generous. Go for it !!

To be completely honest I don’t know the difference between Mexican and Salvadorian food. It’s along the same lines, but obviously better. This place is the absolute bomb! It’s within walking distance from my school and the best food around. Unlimited fresh chips out of the frier and amazing salsa, amazing selections of meat, and probably one of my favorite things, Jarritos. Yes the Mexican Pop! I had to beg my friends to try the place and now we will probably become regulars. In between a gas station and a laundromat you would never expect such great food at this little hole in the wall place. Service was not the absolute best, but the people are incredible nice and the food does come up pretty fast. New little favorite restaurant

The is a great place to eat. Everything seemed to be made from scratch. Very authentic food at a reasonable price. The one complaint was that all the Puposas tasted the same. I order three different kinds and could not tell them a part. That being said all three were great. The torta was good, and the sauces they make are fantastic.

I walked over here with a hankering for pupusas. Revuelta pupusas are usually my favorite; this one was good, but the loco flower was better. Either way, my craving was fulfilled, and it got treated with a banana smoothie, too! It was yummy. I ate in a booth watching Telemundo soap operas and munched on red, green, and white tortilla chips in a chunky yet watery self serve carafe of super garlicky salsa. The service was exactly as expected from this hole in the wall of deliciousness. Didn’t come here for customer service. I’ll be back. I’m a sucker for El Salvadorian food. Plus I had chips and salsa, a smoothie and 2 pupusas(I ate half of each so I have leftovers), and with tax and tip I got out for about $ 8(more than 20% tip).

First I’d like to say this is NOT Mexican food, the name of the place should be self explanatory. Now to the review, it’s a nice little place the inside is a little bland but the food is quite nice Pupusas are great if you ever have the chance to try them, they have a variety to choose from and we come rather often to buy them. Very good and one of a kind

This quaint little place next to the gas station has delicious tacos. They are really quick, and affordable. I hope to go back and try something else soon since its right by my work.
