LOMLMOMD and I went to a black-tie event held at the MoA and had a great time. A few galleries were open for us to walk through. It felt like we were given tons of space and trust — no hovering security guards expecting our inner children to break free and touch things. The staff, though, were super attentive whenever we needed anything… or needed a slosh of wine dabbed off the wooden floors. I can’t wait to go back and take in the rest of the exhibits.

Bodies The Exhibition: This was a must see. I saw this in NY last last year, and for an exhibition on the systems of the human body, it is displayed in artistic ways that where… amazing to say the least. It sounds gross, but it is really great. Every which way you can cut em up, they are there, which changes how you look at them every time. And by the way, no cases surrounding them, you can inch up as close as you want and examine every hair. They even have stuff you can touch at the end. I won’t say any more to spoil the surprise, but if you missed it, you have missed out. Everyone there seemed as fascinated as I was, and I really didn’t feel that this show was disrespectful in any way. If anything, it gave me a deeper appreciation for how complex the human body really is. I nearly had myself talked into throwing out my stockpile of butter… nearly. Baby steps. :-) Stepping lightly around the one homeless looking man who stated: If I wanted to see dead bodies… I’d just go out to my shed. Unilocal Note: This place is called: The Fort Wayne Museum of Art It is not listed as Susan L. From New York listed it. So this way Unilocal*search engines will locate this listing.

Although it’s a small museum, they had two very interesting and large«temporary» exhibits when we visited in late May. The staff were all very friendly, too.
