My boys have been participating in the Gracie bully-proof program since last fall(2015). Cameron(and Kane) are great with the kids. They seem to enjoy what they are doing. The kids are learning and having fun. The place is clean, parking is ample. The classes are small but large enough for all the kids to participate with a partner. What makes this program different from others is the kids are learning to protect themselves without hurting the bully unless they have to which keeps them from getting into trouble with the school. Freuently you’ll see the bully and the child trying to defend themselves getting into trouble. That should not be the case here as the kids are learning to subdue and apply pressure(pain) as needed without causing unnecessary harm to the bully. The techniques work with any size. You will often see small kids paired up with. larger kids because size does not matter here. If you can subdue the bully and apply a little pressure on those sensitive spots you get get someone to leave you alone. I cannot speak on the adult classes, however I assume the apply the same the same techniques just more in depth. I have seen fake weapons so I believe he teaches them how to disarm someone if need be. It is also a little gentler on the body than other martial arts.
