I would strongly advise to NOT use J and S for any septic service. I moved into a home over the winter, and the prior homeowner mentioned to get the septic pumped soon, as he had not in some time. I called J and S, they said they would be out and I did not need to be home. They did not ask any questions or inquire about type of septic, they told me $ 325.00 +12% to use my debit card. I was home from work when they came due a sick baby at home. The man pumping the septic was done in less than 20 minutes, he came to the door to tell me «it wasn’t bad» and we could do it «every few years». 8 weeks later, the prior homeowner stopped by to ask us if we got septic done, I told him yes and even said they told me it wasn’t full at all. He pulled the cap off of the septic tank, sure enough, FULL TO THE TOP. J and S pumped one outlet only, never even asking me about the one right next to it, the one that holds the majority of the waste in a mound system. When I called J and S to ask (after they did not reply to my emails or vmails) if they would be out to fix this, I was told I would still need to pay .20 for each gallon (or $ 200) even though my first pump was only 700 gallons. I was also belittled by the manager there, told they don not have «xray vision» to know that there was more than one tank, the caps are right next to each other. this was offensive. I called to other services and found BOTH tanks should have been done, and since most trucks hold about 1500 gallons I would have not even owed another .20 a gallon as they asked of me. I got a whole new company and pumped for $ 250, and knew it was actually done right. J and S has incompetent staff, management unable to actually make right their own wrong and is very inflated compared to other septic companies. If you are wise, and don’t want to have to get it redone, do not use J and S.
