Laundry Xpress

This place is a complete joke! The one 5 star review is clearly written by the owner so I wrote that off, the other must be affiliated with this place too because this place is not as advertised. Yes, the place is clean and machines are shiny, they should be for the prices this place charges! The «free dry» that they advertise is for one 7 minute cycle, it didn’t even get my clothes warm on high. 5 bucks more later (49 cents per 7 minute cycle) and my clothes were still damp. Gave up in frustration and walked out.
The credit card system is a joke, $ 10 minimum to use your card and the first dollar goes on a «depost» for the card you use in the machines. Deposit implies a refund upon returning the card, not the case here. No way to exchange your quarters for bills either, you must go next door to the not so friendly guy behind bullet proof glass next door at the marathon. Don’t make any sudden movements or reach into your pocket abruptly as he’ll get nervous and think you’re going for a gun… That’s a good sign…
The free wireless internet doesn’t work and the internet café they advertise is nonexistent as well. No vending machines on property or a TV so best bring a snack and a magazine because they don’t have those either.
Needless to say I won’t be coming back. Much better alternative on the north side of town near Glenbrook mall.

Really fantastic laundromat! Huge, immaculate, and with free wi-​fi. I have been an apartment dweller in major cities around the country, and have seen my share of shady, dingy laundromats. I can honestly say this is one of the best I have been to. It is a wonderful facility. They have everything from 20lb washers to monster 90lb ones! Price is right, starting at only $ 1.74/wash with a free dry on the smaller sized machines. The owners are wonderful and own the Marathon just next door, plus 8 others in town. Fort Wayne surprises me again. You won’t be disappointed.
